In western schools they give credit to Arabs for building pyramidsLol, that's not true im an American. However the history books do not touch on whether egyptians were white or black, in a black school the teacher will have no problem agreeing with the students that egyptians were black. As far as African history, Egypt, some Ethiopia, and some Mali is about as close as we ever get . |
More money? What do they do with the money they already have? |
Almost everything from the west from stolen from civilizations from around the world. So western anything is like a mix of many different civilizations.Mmmmm, the skyscraper is pretty american. |
Excuse me this is precolonial african cities, not modern african cities built with foreign money in the western style. Most of these cities destroyed what was already there. |
hair grows back faster when u cut it off.not tru |
The majority of our women look hideous sporting the follical roots of our historical oppressors. Thankfully there is a cherished minority that value their own natural hair and value their innate beauty. jerseyboy:Agreed. Now women will complain you say they look like gorillas, instead of realizing you are telling them God made them more beautiful than they could be with the wigs. |
what is rabbit titty? |
Your mother's father cannot pass that marker to you because she does not carry it from him. Only your father can transfer that marker.so are u saying i should live my life as a white person? |
in other words you can only have one great great great grand fatherOn my father's side? It wouldnt be. On my mother's side, it should be. But since AA's tend to trace their lineage matrilineally, it doesnt matter. |
DNA tests are extremely cheap these days, maybe you should go take one, find out where your ancestors originate from so you can pinpoint pretty much where on the continent you have heritage. its that easyThe DNA test will not tell me where my family comes from, it can only tell me what general area I my parents ancestors may come from. After your great-great-great grandparent the test is irrelevant. |
Showcasing past glory. China people can post pictures of modern buildings which they are constructing now. Us blacks have nothing to show off for our generation, only praising our clever forefathersWhat is a modern building? A western style building? Chinese people are lost too, they are constructing western style buildings which are not their own. 5,000 years from now people will look back and think America colonized the world. |
Epitome of West African beauty?!?! You must really hate African women to have said that. Her "beauty" is nothing to brag about, whether she has make up or not, whether her hair is nappy or not. Looking at her reminds me of Mr. Ibu's face with make upI dont! I cant find the first movie i seen her in with pictures or a video on the internet. But in this movie you could not even see her body at all cuz she was in an all black police uniform. I just thought she was so beautiful, the Sierra Leonian girl I was watching the movie with was like "This woman is very beautiful. This is what an African woman is supposed to look like. " Her hair is also not completely straightened in this movie. She looks better without all the processing, lets her african features shine through, https://cdn.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Mercy-Johnson-Hair-Shave-Movie-Set-January-2011-BellaNaijadotcom002.jpg |
Now imagine what they'd do if she decided to take a shït. Smh, what people see in this girl is beyond me. I came across a site once where the members were saying the girl who represented Nigeria in this year's Miss Universe pageant was so so when it came to her looks but these same people looked at Mercy Johnson and say she was beautiful. I nearly died laughing. I had to show other people the comments because I just couldn't stop laughing. With the exception of her hair, Mercy Johnson is the epitome of West African beauty, when people think of it. She definitely looks better with less makeup and nappier hair, but she is very beautiful. Miss Nigeria represents what Nigerians think westerners would find beautiful in order to win a competition. |
The Kingdom of Nri (948—1911) was the West African medieval state of the Nri-Igbo, a subgroup of the Igbo people, and is the oldest kingdom in Nigeria.[2] The Kingdom of Nri was unusual in the history of world government in that its leader exercised no military power over his subjects. The kingdom existed as a sphere of religious and political influence over much of Igboland, and was administered by a priest-king called the eze Nri. The eze Nri managed trade and diplomacy on behalf of the Igbo people, and possessed divine authority in religious matters. The kingdom was a safe haven for all those who had been rejected in their communities and also a place where slaves were set free from their bondage. Nri expanded through converts gaining neighboring communities' allegiance, not by force. Nri's royal founder, Eri, is said to be a 'sky being' that came down to earth and then established civilization. One of the better-known remnants of the Nri civilization is its art, as manifested in the Igbo Ukwu bronze items. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Nri |
and u xpect a celebrity with that kinda bad eye pose for a shot,When mercy johnson farts there are men rushing to sniff all the air in the vicinity just to keep passers by from smelling it. |
lol, so what if it was written by an Igbo man? I didn't ask about any book written by one person from one place in Igboland or comment on it. My point is that Benin traditional clothing isn't relevant here so it was dumb to bring it up. The rest of your crap has been addressed by other posters here, so I'm not going to bother responding further. So it is impossible for people in Ilefe to have been wearing the same clothing as people in Benin, even though people in Benin were at least sometimes wearing the same clothing as the people in Ghana? Even though we have even seen pictures Igbo people who were even wearing clothing similiar to what is worn in Senegal or Mali? It is now impossible? I cant discern whether this is ethnocentricism or whether you are representing a valid point. |
Oh please! These are Nigerian men we're talking about. Some of them will cut off their damn arms just for some äss. Besides, all they would do is just put a pillow or a bag over her face and get to smashin'. I even knew a guy who lied and told a woman he was a Christian just so he could Be Intimate with her Tonguelmao. Well, maybe she should not have been so prissy. |
I heard they dont die and when I tried to challenge the information, they asked me to mention just one albino i've ever seen his obituary or attended his burial. I've been thinking since then and havent found any.lol i love african humor |
If her face really looked like that would it stop you from wanting to have sex with her? |
All the Igbo people are not the same ethnicity, because nations like Nri used their territory as asylum and freed all slaves who set foot in it. Anyone who followed the religion of the Nri people was accepted as an Igbo. |
stop eating western food and living in western country. Boom it disappears. |
It has NOTHING to do with Israel. Why do you all wish to throw away your history? A quick search on wikipedia tells us that Nri was a kingdom in Igboland that collapsed when the British invaded. This article is collected from at least 20 sources. BlackLibya, in that last picture you posted of the Amoafo, Asante Kingdom 1890, I notice it has a big tree between the habitats and further down another big tree is lined up. Do you know if this was common place to plan their cities like that? The way the people are standing around the tree in the front, one can tell that it must have been a popular meeting/resting place.Im not sure, there was a book written by a European who stayed in Kumase that would probably give you a better idea. He was completely fascinated with what he found there, and the Europeans at the time lambasted him and said that what he had written was impossible because it didnt fit in with their previously held convictions. I wish I knew his name, someone mentioned it in one of the forums I found the pictures in but I dont have the link anymore. The Asante were not one of them, but I was reading about the Igbo people and the Nri Kingdom in which the ruler of the kingdom excercised no military authority, the only of its type in the world. I couldnt find anything on whether they had an army or not, but if they didnt, it would be even more amazing. Reading about them, the Igbo seem to have had accomplished an economic system that many people consider impossible to this day, communism. |
^^^ What's your obsession with Yorubas? What did I say negative about Yorubas that you are taking offense? |
I guess we should then use the term "people of hue" instead of "people of color" , just to be more accurate, don't you think.I think we should use the term that everyone already uses to mean the exact same thing. Easier dont you think? |
The Yoruba elite were the first,Why didnt you all just use the parliament to secede? I dont understand, it's a federation its supposed to have been made up of autonomous nations anyway. |
All these small children sha. Look at the one contradicting himself about Germans not being a tribe. Have you studied the Germans? Have you been here? Do you speak our language? Do you know the diferences between Bavarian and Swabs, the Saxons and the Franks? Do you know that these individual German tribes are still in existence till today? Do you know that their languages (dialect to be precise) are still spoken despite the introduction of standard German hundred of years ago? What are u half German? You surely dont talk like a German, you talk like a Nigerian, not just the pidgin you mix with, but your choice of words is very Nigerian and similiar to others on this forum. Anyway, nothing is primitive about tribes. It's funny you say its primitive while all the time Europeans have us learning about their Anglo Saxons and Vikings in school. We learn their fairy tales and religions, we are taught to take an interest in the Norse gods. In Europe I am sure the students are learning about these very tribes, as they are the background for white supremacists having been the "whitest of whites" |
The Igbo definitely don't trace themselves even to a common tribe, but maybe a wide region dating thousands of years which was only found out recently. That's how I knew the common ancestry requirement for a tribe wouldn't fit all groups in Nigeria. What I meant is that in their traditional beliefs, they trace themselves to their god Chukwu am I correct? |
Could someone please explain to me who and what caused the first Nigerian military coup? It seems most of the people in the govt at the time were pan-africanists, where were serious about making Nigeria a better place. |
