Dear Nairalanders, can you please advise me of where the nice and upscale market areas are in Abeokuta township and environs. I would also be grateful for the average price of a plot of land in the areas. |
Is it possible to email me an application form? |
CrazyT, thanks for the reply. Must have missed Roughcut's reply. I take it that the news is that it was oversubscribed and keep my fingers crossed that i will get a piece of the action in due time. I would so hate to miss out on this one. Hope this is the beginning of a new dawn. Am all fired up after reading all your advice. |
Honorable members of the House, i have been glued to this forum for the past 2 hours reading from the start. So many experts from all over the world on the Nigerian Stock market. Wish i had actually been in on this a lot earlier. I would probably be in retirement by now. Has anyone got an update on the Dangote Flour Mills offer? I subscribed for 20,000 units. The prospectus said the shares will be dispatched by 29th November. Any idea if it was oversubscribed? I am also thinking of partaking in the bank PHB offer but not sure of the quantity to buy. Heard that if it is oversubscribed people who buy above a certain amount may get there money refunded. Your advise please. Need to get out of this rat race of 9 -5 ASAP. |
Nttinghill, two years ago a thot about this idea and did a little research to see if there was a market in Nigeria for used books and novels etc. The result was that the market was there but my problem was when it came to getting the supplies at the right price. Also the cost of shipping books from UK to Lagos then was not cost effective. Other pressing issues then made me abort the the project temporarily, but this seems like another opportunity to look at it again. If you interested in any sort of partnership let me know. If set up and done well it will be a success story, the cost of new books is prohibitive for most nigerians. Other areas i explored relating to this was a book club similar to video clubs where people can rent novels at a price for a period, after paying a membership fee. |
Am also interested in a reliable provider of mortgages in Nigeria, does anyone know how i can contact Union Homes. I wonder why these builing societies don't market themselves to the diaspora? Please, please help ![]() |
Todd, i also second the recommendation of blacklion, Crest Hotels on the old airport road is the hotel of the moment in Jos. I live in Rayfield whenever in Nigeria and the last time about three months ago, i checked out the Crest Hotel. It was excellent, all facilities are in perfect working order. You wont regret it, and about the journey from Abj to Jos, you should have no problems at all. Have a nice holiday. |
