Christianity Etc › Re: How The Catholic Church Discourages People From Taking Bible To Church by blackpanda: 5:03pm On May 27, 2018
ikorodureporta:
u did not get my point.. I said those chapters & verses are not read out during mass & somebody with a bible cannot use it for anything. Bsides, the price of d bulletin which contains those verses/chapters passages isnt encouraging for most people...
That's quite untrue. All bible passages are boldly written in d bulletin. And d bulletin isn't compulsory. Like I told u, catholic church has a calendar. All d bible passages for every day are already spelt out. Whether or not they even write it in d bulletin, we Catholics already know. And where the priest wishes to refer to any other bible passage he will say so. Ur criticism is unfortunately born of ignorance.
Christianity Etc › Re: How The Catholic Church Discourages People From Taking Bible To Church by blackpanda: 3:42pm On May 27, 2018
The unfortunate thing about people like op is that u have non catholics who know nothing about the catholic faith and doctrines so quick to criticize, instead to asking for clarifications.

Every church has its own doctrines and traditions and before u sit atop your imaginary high horse to criticize let me first inform u that everything u claim to know about christianity is what the church preserved for u. Without the Catholic church there would be no Christianity. Plain and simple. More so, unlike what my pentecostal brethren like to tout, christianity does not begin and end with the bible. The faith is not what u feel or think, the faith is what it is, regardless of your thoughts and emotions.

That said, every reading in the bulletin is gotten from the bible. And the readings clearly show the book, chapter and verse being read from

Everything in the catholic church is about order, tradition and uniformity. The church has a yearly calendar and the readings are chosen to reflect the time of the year. We have lent, advent, easter, etc. This does not mean that other passages are not referred to during the mass. It is just to ensure uniformity so that if I attend mass in umuahia and my sister attends mass in sokoto, we will basically get almost the same message. That is what catholic stands for I.e its universal
Christianity Etc › Homosexuality And The Catholic Church by blackpanda(op): 1:24pm On May 27, 2018
Homosexuality is addressed in Catholic moral theology under two forms: homosexual orientation is considered an "objective disorder" because Catholicism views it as being "ordered toward an intrinsic moral evil", but not sinful unless acted upon. Homosexual sexual activity, by contrast, is viewed as a "moral disorder" and "homosexual acts" are viewed as "contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity."Nevertheless, gay people must be accepted with "respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

The Catholic Church teaches that marriage can be made only between a man and a woman, and opposes introduction of both civil and religious same-sex marriage. Leading figures in the Church have campaigned against same-sex marriage,same-sex civil unions, and other LGBT issues. The Church holds that same-sex unions are an unfavorable environment for children and that the legalization of such unions is harmful to society.

So the question is is the catholic church right?

When you can't account for prior loans, it's best to avoid more loans from going to such person
Why do u say the govt cant account for loans?? Dont just make baseless blanket statements that have no basis in reality. Go and visit kaduna before making noise

CSTR1003:
No.
The problem is that kaduna is one of the most highly indebted states vying with Lagos for the title.
And he still wants to borrow more.
Of course, I don't expect you to see that.
Stop talking trash and lies
Kaduna is nowhere near lagos in terms of indebtedness
Your noise is unnecessary

The NASS should recommend and approve equivalent Loans, as Kaduna State is asking, to the 36 States of the Federation, specifically to build modern Ranches, integrated infrastructures and Food Storage Facilities for the States.
Planned healthy competition, isn't it? And will surely project APC in good light !!!
All the 36 states have one form of loan or the other from world bank, IFC etc...its not peculiar to kaduna state. The difference is that the senators are making it political because they dont want the completion of major infrastructure to el rufai's credit. Its not because they love kaduna people

A good lawyer, a fine gentlemen, a pastor, but a VP material, hell NO!

He has zero experience of moving things forward to warrant the big position he is occupying, that's why the position swallowed him. That's the problem with Nigeria. Using average ppl to try and turn around a big Country.
Before u sit down to type trash, try to google osinbajos biography and CV. He is practically one of the most qualified persons in govt in Nigeria's entire history. Its not about relying on sentiments and bias. For d first time in a long time we actually have geniuses heading govt!
