AS Roma Nigeria teen fullback Nura Abdullahi who is on loan from Serie B side Spezia might secure a shock move to Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer.


18 year old Nura who recently returned form a minor heart ailment was a subject of inquiry from Barcelona after the teen prospect caught the eyes of their scout in a UEFA youth league game.


They were thoughts of an instant bid for the full back but the heart ailment that kept him out for three months reportedly caused a halt to the move.


However owngoalnigeria.com can authoritatively report that contacts was yesterday made between his camp and that of the Blaugrana who are trying to use his lack of first team opportunities at AS Roma to lure him.


Roma on their part are not willing to entertain any bid for his service as we gathered they view him as the heir to their right full back spot in the team and are willing to make his transfer permanent in the summer.


So far he has made the match day squad for the Rome based side four times since his return to competitive football but has been very impressive for their B team in the Primavera league as well as in the UEFA Youth League.

It was, therefore, not correct to allege that a Nigerian had once been the Secretary-General of the OAU.
