Please I would love to know if a treasury bill can be used as part of proof of funds for both CAS and Visa applications respectively? The treasury bill matures in August. The larger portion of the POF is in a regular bank account but the rest is what was used for the treasury stuff. So I just want to know if I can use the treasury bill as part of my POF while I submit the treasury bill certificate and document to back up my claim that it will actually mature in August.

Yes, they have 5years passport. My friend who collected her 5years validity passport the date I captured paid about 40-45k thereabout.
But I think it’s also dependent on the immigration officer you decide to use as your agent and also your bargaining power with the agent.

From what I know about the akure passport office, you have to book down early (make payment) so that you can have a close capturing date cos their slots per day gets full really quickly. I booked (payed) on Thursday and I captured the next Monday.

I captured for the 10years 64pages passport on the 9th of May at the passport office in Akure Ondo state and I picked up my passport today (1 week 2days later)

In my case, the correct date of birth is the one contained in my expired international passport while the wrong one is the one contained in the NIN.

Can you please take me through the process of effecting the change of the date of birth on my NIN and the possible cost implications.

Based on change of date of birth I think you might have to write a letter (handwritten) to address the issue (stating the wrong one and the new one you want to use) I don’t know if you would need affidavit also but kindly visit any NIMC office close to you to find out what you will need to effect the change.

First of all, which document contains the real date of your birth? NIN or Passport?

Based on similar experience, the info on your NIN must tally with the info on your passport. I had a similar issue but mine was about name arrangement. I had to swear affidavit and do some other things after I had visited NIMC office.

If the wrong date is the one on the NIN slip then that’s easier to tackle, just visit any NIMC close to you and tell you want to change your date of birth on your NIN to the correct one and they will tell you all the requirements. But if the NIN contains the right date and the passport has the wrong date I don’t know how to go about that you might want to contact the NIS or ask any immigration officer how you will go about it .
