Never had Superman in the canon comics been so brutal he would snap someone's head. Infact the snapping of general zods' neck was a direct and cheap imitation of Wonder woman snapping Maxwell lords neck in the public during the final crisis event.

Superman is a boys scout and a symbol of Hope, MoS movie destroyed and damaged what Clark stands for.
