Sony was already making billions from the spiderman franchise. Also, Sony doesn't need Disney 50% financing as they have been financing the spiderman movies 100% all these while. Despite this, Sony still gave 5% to Disney for it but greedy Disney wants more.

How would Disney feel if Sony is requesting for 50% from spiderman toy and merchandise sales?

Bro, the reverse is the case. Marvel is the one financing the Spiderman movies. Sony gets 95% and Disney 5%. Hence why Disney proposed a 50/50 split.
