PoliticsRe: Yar’adua’s Group Considers A Coup To Stop Jonathan by blacksta(m): 12:12pm On Dec 25, 2009
Our source insisted that Turai and Aondoakaa are fully aware of Yar’adua’s continuing health crisis, and yet they constantly sponsor propaganda in Bola Tinubu’s The Nation newspaper to the effect that the sickly ruler may be home-bound soon.
{
This is our i know the above news is rubbish and not credible - I can not envisage why tinubu would allow turai use his medium to broadcast propaganda.

SR at it again

PoliticsRe: Northern Turn End With Yar Adua, After Yar Adua A Southerner Must Take Over. by blacksta(m): 6:27am On Dec 25, 2009
Quote from: ijebuman on February 23, 2006, 02:09 PM
Lets calm down a bit. Nothing is going to happen. This time next month no one will remember this incident and then something else will happen and then we will go through the whole cycle again.

Why i'm not worried? quite simple. Majority of Nigerians do not have the foresight or patience required to effect social change. We think social change can come through occasional violence, crying out to God etc. People want instant results and when they don't get it they give up.

Change requires sustained action, not our typical fire brigade approach or knee jerk reaction to everything. Who will fight if they realise that it may take them 30 to 40 years to achieve their goal.

Then you also have the religious factor. As long as people wrap themselves in the cloak of religion, nothing will happen because religion absorbs most of the social frustrations people have.

Nigerians only react to incidents when it affects them personally. We don't really have this culture of standing up for each other (its every man for himself). You want to understand the true psyche of a Nigerian, then study the behaviour of Nigerians abroad.
A lot of Nigerians are victimised all over the world, but its surprising that even where avenues exist for many to seek redress (and probably even get compensated in the process ) they refuse to do so, placing their trust in religion.

As usual this crises will play itself out till the next one and the next one after that

The above really hits home - Change is very difficult in Nigeria

In a more stable and sensible country all of the debate participants at this point will be in Jail. So i dont respect and will not watch any debate of crooks. As you can hear or see the outcome of the event clearly confirms that Nigeria is in deep mess

kosovo:
@olanajim   The Decision STANDS, Pending the acceptance of the mandate by Jakumo
This confirms that you are not balanced and the election was not fair- Did you not know the above before started the whole farce. You are the same guy who stood by " The election of Becomerich"

So what happens if Jakumo refuses the mandate.

I suspect you are were only after popularity points and are not concerned with the interest of NL
PoliticsRe: Becomerich WINS, Jakumo Closes in, Beaf Waits by blacksta(m): 10:09am On Dec 20, 2009
From the first day this Mr kosovo was appointed as mod - where were the electoral laws - This chap was imposed on the political section - I have always known that this guy wasn't mentally balanced to conduct an election. A man who originally defended the result and then turned around to disqualify the winner. Mr Kovoso did becomrich not give your 1,000,000 cfa for the initial rigging or land in the new republic of benin

I am interested to know the reasoning behind this display of Iwuism.

Until the Mandate of Becomrich is returned - I hereby declare that i would continually log off NL for appropriately 3 minutes every day as form of protest
and if you refuse to heed the majorities demand i will have no choice but to increase it to 6 minutes

Seun you are warned

Thats what it is.

I think thats how Obama came into power.
What an insult to Obama - I guess you are saying people vote for charisma rather than someone who is hard faced, ugly and most likely will solve the countries problems

Afam:
The essence of a run-off is to get a clear winner. And clearly, the 3rd guy who shouldn't have been included in the run off came a distant last.

If the top 2 had been voted for in the run off perhaps some of the people that voted for the 3rd guy would have voted for either of the first two instead of unnecessarily splitting votes.

It is usually better to accept mistakes when we make them than to wish them away because they will always haunt us.
So true cause if add beaf's score to Jakumo you are almost close to a tie. For me the above dont show the real result cause of the third candidate added to the run off
PoliticsRe: Aero Contractor Airlines Now Sell Snacks On Board Flight, Due Economic Meltdown. by blacksta(m): 12:13am On Dec 17, 2009
I am quite shocked by the level ignorance displayed here on this thread. Selling food or gift items on a short haul flight is not a new thing. All short haul flights in the western world have been doing this for last 7 to 10 years ever since the introduction low cost airlines. Selling food on short haul flight is seen as another way increasing revenue on the already cheap flight. You are under no obligation to purchase food items

My dear friend  11 megawatts is a lot of electrcity

in the mid-western US with central air conditioning, 11 MW can supply any of these:

- 3,000 average homes with central air --. (assumes 5 kW per home)
- 150 fast food restaurants
- 30 large retail stores
- 15grocery stores
- 15 large home improvement stores
-1 Sears Towers
- 1 computer data center

Please bear in mind Nigerians dont use as much electricity as the U.s  so you can double above effort

lagerwhenindoubt:
We had a fancy kit in France 98,,, where did it take us.

It is not the kit that makes the team,it is the creativity and gameplay displayed on field. Our success at the world cup can make the SE a brand to chase after, but sadly (as usual) we are always focusing on really strange stuff,  like when we hide our team training so that spies from other teams cannot know our strategy. only to fall like a truck-load of Maluuus, when we enter the field of play,  We should stop pre-empting failure at this early stage. Because I know Festus Onigbinde and Amodu will claim that poor branding was responsible for our failure at South Africa 2010
Thanks

No mind them se na kit person wan chop or abi make them put goals inside net for me

PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria So Difficult To Develop? by blacksta(m): 6:19pm On Dec 14, 2009
Basildon1:
I get tired of myopic and all-knowing lines like this, yes the citizens have a part to play but let's stop all this rubbish talk about how we dont do anything useful for our country. THERE IS A REASON WHY GOVERNANCE IS DELEGATED TO A FEW.

Elected representatives (hard to keep a straight face when i say that) are meant to develop a PATH for the people for the country's upliftment and create an enabling environment where development can flourish.

Go and ask the average briton( even one thing he has done for his country and he will look at you like some contempt for even trying to judge him, BUT DOES THAT MEAN HE SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCESS TO BASIC AMENITIES.
Thanks

Dont mind this yeye people who dont know the dynamics of development but keep jumping on the bandwagon of what have you done for your country like one can solely fund electricity plant building or an oil rig installation. The question should be what foundations has the country laid down for development. It is a well known fact that any government should create an atmosphere that encourages business but somehow some people claim one can circumnavigate this process
