BlackPeni5: First of all, I don't believe there are up to N150 million Nigerians. This is the most intelligent post Nigeria is not up to 160 million people The inflated Northern population has led to false National census. |
sweetgala: Make sure the ministry of defence and all other ministries execute the budget as approved. There is one thing you do not know about corruption elimination You can hardly catch corrupt people who operate in a system full of loop holes Eg I know a university where to counter lecturers exploiting students sexually and financially, each course was planned to be handled by 3-5 lecturers and each lecturer must not be able to award more than 30 marks to a student. This reduced the absolute power a lecturer has on a course To eliminate corruption it must be system base and not human base because systems are more reliable than humans The best things to do simultaneously when tackling corruption are 1) Create systems within that system to block those loop holes 2) Create another system to serve as check and balance to the first system The problem is that we Nigerians are not using the social media to suggest possible ways to block these loop holes rather we insult him when we fully know that he is not God that knows everything. Now my question to you Tell us step by step how you will reduce corruption systematically in the military if you are the President faced with this challenge Remember step by step solution |
First question is What are the criterias that qualifies a nation to being part of UN permanent seat. |
barcanista: Aburi or Aboki Accord, the koko is that Ojukwu lost out woefully in the power struggle. The real losers are the Southern minorities whose oil wealth is being siphoned Imagine that most of your oil wells are owned by Northerners |
Na wa These guys no dey tire So the war continues Pictures/ video or I don't believe |
sweetgala: He his the leaderIf you are in shoes, how will you transform our military into a truly geopolitical power within 5years |
sweetgala: True Talk the "pull am down" syndrome is strong in Nigeria. We do need something to unite us thou for us to collectively move forward, we have been exploited and politicians have leveraged our differences for their own selfish gains too much and the otherwise "fresh air" we all voted for has failed us badly. My greatest disappointed so far has been GEJ , the hope and aspirations of a greatness- dashed shamelesslyMy anger is that Nigerians are not using the social media to inform GEJ on other conventional and unconventional ways he can solve our problems. Rather they insult him without suggesting one solution GEJ is a human bound to fail but our counsels can help him to help us |
Trash FFK we are not moved by your scare tactics |
sweetgala: I did not have Nuclear weapons in mind, We can not even maintain a fleet of fighter jets, we have no business with nuclear technology.Sorry for the mix up Yes we can build up a powerful intelligence agency using spies BUT All Nigerian governments are more afraid of Nigerians than foreigners. That is why they have refused to build a reputable military but result to importation of heavy advanced weapons, contract Israeli spies etc Nigerians fear themselves more than they fear foreigners They believe foreigners do not give a damn about us but believe we like pulling ourselves down |
sweetgala: It has been doing wonders for USA, GB ,France ,China and Israel for decades now, maybe we need to give it a try in Nigeria.I won't subscribe to nuclear weapons If Nigerian government instructs our higher institutions to develop advance weapons at students, department, department association, faculty , university/polytechnic levels it will make available advance weapons for DICON to mass produce. Nigeria has the population and geography to defeat US on our soil. What we need is to possess advanced weapons and arm millions of Nigerians in time of war. |
sweetgala: They had a plan to develop nuclear weapons and use them , they however were not able to complete the project. The Russians made good use of the German's knowledge. International espionage was at it's peak during the cold war on both sides.Am not denying the contribution of German scientists but international espionage and treachery gave Russia her nuclear breakthrough |
standupguy: Hotels have always been a boom in the south east, hotels are a low risk and low employment investments which mostly owned by individuals. You are right But Don't forget that even if electricity is constant, it is people that will still establish industries to curtail unemployment. This is why there is unemployment in advanced nations that have constant electricity ' |
ROSSIKE: Your own is too much abeg. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a state choosing a particular sector to specialize in, and developing economies of scale advantages over other states. It's actually a very shrewd step. This is what the state of Florida does in the US, positioning itself as the tourism hub of the country by investing heavily in that sector.May I ask you to educate me 1) What is the minimum hectares of land that will be sufficient for a farmer to comfortably generate an annual income of at least 1 000 000 naira AND how many unemployed Rivers youths do need that minimum hectares of land to be self employed. 2) If the farms will be government owned , what is the minimum workforce an hectare of land can employ especially in this modern world were machines have replaced humans In advanced nations, agriculture employs the least workforce because a tractor can do the work of 1000 farmers thereby converting the labour cost to machine cost which is usually small. This frees a lot of money meant for labour cost into profit for farmers and investors. But again educate me if I am wrong |
sweetgala: The Russians had captured a large quantity of German engineers and scientists after Berlin fell and made them build nuclear weapons. It has even been alleged albeit wrongly that the legendary AK$7 was designed by kalashnikov under directions of a German engineerIf German scientists could build atom bomb , Hitler would have used it to turn the tide of the war to Germany favour but the best of German efforts couldn't achieve it. Even the raw material (hard water) gotten from Norway he planned to use was sabotaged by Norwegian resistance forces. AK 47 was designed after a German assault rifle developed by Germany towards the end of the war. Hitler named the rifle assault rifle in Germanic language. It was designed after two German guns namely the German bolt action rifle and short range sub machine gun. |
semitunde: If I'm to be brutally frank with you I'd say your submission is at best motivational, which isn't bad. But in the face of real facts, including proper indices of guaging an economy; Anambra won't be third after Lagos and kano. If all their plans work out positively, and without corruption, maybe in say 10years. Its not a sprint bro.Pls explain further Especially on your view of economic position and religion |
biafranqueen: Thank you OP for the Post we really appreciate the update! This is how we Igbos should discuss positive solutions on social media instead of wasting our time insulting hopeless people Igbos let suggest other alternatives to our challenges |
Dibiachukwu: My problem, Igbo unemployment issue is very complex given that there are small businesses here and there; everywhere in Igboland. Solving this problem needs a proper economic technician. Igbos have the capital floating around and wasting. What we need is a trustworthy, respect commanding leadership. We lack leadership. All igbo leaders are sellouts. When want to talk economy in Igboland. I will go the way of strong banks. State owned. Bond and shares selling. Encouraging igbos to bank with these banks. Responsible mortgage and lending scheme. None of them have thought of this. They are busy riding bicycle accross our dirt filled streets and gutters.I like your contribution This how we Igbos should make positive contributions instead of insults and abuses. Pls explain why you think state own banks are better To me I will advice SE government to partner with some credible banks to support their credit worthy customers with long term low interest loans I will advice the SE government to encourage Individuals Churches Communities etc to engage in long term low interest loans and be prepare to deal with criminal defaulters using state government power and influence |
Dibiachukwu: Privatisation of public owned property is usually very messy. I wouldn't trust any Nigerian; including my Igbo brethen with that. I prefer they do their primary work (Infrastructure, planning and security) and use the rest of the money for social security.I agree with you that it is messy But considered the rising unemployment (poverty) |
asha80: mbakwe's era industries were being built by govts and they collapased later due to obvious reasons. The military era destroyed Mbakwe's success I believe he would have privatized those industries |
sweetgala: Someone does not know the history of the cold war, it is known fact that the Germans and Russians where building large bombs during WW-II , after the war some German scientists worked with the US while some were with the Russians .Germany US Japan Russia Britain etc were all in the nuclear race but it was a German Jew Albert Einstein that helped US build the first bomb The Russians achieved theirs after treacherous scientists leaked the clue to them |
Collynzo22: So?The rate at which we build industries is slow especially when we compare it with Mbakwe's era. |
nchewi: You see how intelligent you are? You said I was off point, yet ur conclusion drums the same point am making. You see how both the FG and State government are treating the matter with kid's gloves instead of setting an example. None of them want to burn their hands because an influential Preacher is involved. They don't want 2 lose votes. My problem with you is that you blamed the government when we the people are also part of the problem |
Dibiachukwu: Industrialisation can not be left to the government. It is the responsibility of the people of igboland. The government should invest on areas that require large capital and strenghten their banks. Gud infrastructure provisioning is key. Government management of everything leaves the populace in a very vulnerable position. You are correct when you said Igbos are ones to spur industrialisation but the states government can then initiate it and later privatize the industries in order to speed up the process |
He needs to go He lost focus |
kokoA: Just the way GEJ reduced poverty in Bayelsa and transformed the state into semi-london before becoming Nigeria's president abi?Since you don't like GEJ do you still need another one in the person of Kwakwanso |
Collynzo22: Industries are being built. I know of 2 newly developed industrial clusters in Owerri.Yes But we need to speed up our industrialization effort in order to reduce unemployment(poverty) |
Dibiachukwu: That is good but is not enough. We need way more main roads, connected to well tarred streets connecting people from the suburbs and rural areas. We have concentrated on roads for years since the collapse of Biafra. We need more manufacturing mining agro-allied etc industries Igboland should become the industrial and commercial heartland of Africa. |
Collynzo22: They can build both at the same time.We need to build industries simultaneously with these malls |
spyder880: The shopping population and good environment with security will prompt industrial growth. The malls will sell our locally produced goods if they are competitive.Yes but don't forget that lots of imported products will be sold which will lead to indirect capital flight if they are own by foreigners and we don't have shares in them. So I will advice we simultaneously stir up our industrialization effort if we want to fill those malls with our products and prevent capital flight out of SE region |
fnep2smooth: we have many hotels and mall in OWERRI....... that's our trade mark..And we don't need more of them We need more manufacturing mining agro-allied etc industries to reduce unemployment (poverty) |
We need to step up our industrialization effort. Owerri has lots of hotels and filling stations yet unemployment is on the high side. So building malls without stepping up our industrialization effort will not reduce poverty. |
