A governor who can't reduce poverty and alamajiri in Kano state wants to solve Nigeria problems

A governor who can't transform Kano into agro-allied heartland of Nigeria wants to solve Nigeria problems

A b o ki talking trash since 100 AD

When he places Kano as a place to be, we can then listen to him.

nchewi: This I-don't-Care-Attitude of our government will always come back to bite us as a people!! Our leaders are more interested with their re-election and political survival, than they are about human lives! So shameful. Bunch of animals.
Off point

If this is how majority of SA people think, then it is due to hate.

Stop using the government shortcomings to justify foreign hate against Nigerians.

Well I do not blame them. It is we who presented ourselves as the pride of black race, bragged about it and failed the black race.

olaeffect: I agree with you in regards to poverty. Some people will remain poor even if they are given a billion naira, some won lottery of $380m and became broke in less than 3yrs.

But you will agree with me that the government past and present has not given us an enabling environment to foster business development. It takes you ten times more effort to succeed in this country "legally" than in a more developed economy.
Government = Catalyst

People = Reactants

Reactants can transform into products without the support of a catalyst but a catalyst is worthless if the Reactants don't react.

In other words

A people can achieve development without the support of their government but the government best efforts will yield no fruit if the people fail to react positively towards development.
Politics › Re: Just Heard Gov Amaechi Saying Nigerians Are Lazy On Aljazeera by BlackTechnology: 10:14pm On Sep 28, 2014
meltech: My people, I was watching Gov Amaechi on aljazeera this evening (28 sept. 14. 7pm) saying Nigerians are lazy people and accusing the federal government of grooming criminals in the south south into manipulating elections. When he was asked on plans to tackle unemployment and development in his state, he said that he's focused on agriculture.... am just wondering why a governor should be saying nigerians are lazy on international tv (Aljazeera).

for those who watched it, pls could you share your comments...?
A mentally lazy goverment will only see agriculture as the only solution to unemployment

Amaechi what of manufacturing, mining, tourism, sports, transportation etc

The fact is both APC and PDP are mentally lazy in addressing the challenges confronting us as a people especially when it comes to unemployment issue
Politics › Re: We’ve Reduced Poverty By 50% – Jonathan by BlackTechnology: 5:12pm On Sep 28, 2014
olaeffect: And you think this can work where there is no basic infrastructure like electricity.
If you only know that the telecoms companies in Nigeria spend more on diesel and generator than what the pay staff.

Why can't our government give us power? PDP, APC, GEJ, IBB, OBJ, etc they are all the same.
Poverty is a global problem

It exist in advanced nations that have the best of infrastructures eg electricity

The most critical solution is when people see it as their moral responsibility to create businesses that employs people and pay them fine.

Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Russia To Supply Nigeria Arms by BlackTechnology: 11:57am On Sep 28, 2014
This is a short term solution to a long term problem

Jona must #InvolveOurHigherInstitutionsInWeaponsDevelopment

If we are to catch up with China India etc as truly independent regional military power

Advanced weapons developed in our higher institutions can then be mass produced at DICON.

A nation that depends on other nations for 90% of her military hardware will be vulnerable when her supply route is cut off in war time.

declaro: I'm not a friend of any politician at all, but he tried on the Agricultural low interest rates for farmers. I really love that much more than given low interest rates for traders that will only use the money to import finished products into the country instead of going into productions that will create more jobs and increase our economy. Agricultural sector is what will develop the forgotten ruler areas and extinguish hunger in Nigeria. It is very important for the youths to create jobs for themselves from this forgotten and untapped sector. Farming is good for graduates and undergraduates. I want to see Nigerians exporting made in Nigeria foods and agricultural products. Europeans have may phd holders in farming and one can become extremely rich from farming.

WE SHOULD ALSO THINK OF WHAT WE CAN DO FOR OUR COUNTRY NOT ALWAYS WHAT NIGERIA WILL DO FOR US. THIS IS WHILE THE WESTERN COUNTRY SEEMS TO BE BETTER THAN US, WE ALWAYS WAIT TO BE SPOON FEED INSTEAD OF FEEDING OTHERS.

GodblessYou

That's why I tell people that jobs don't fall from heaven but are peoples creation

How many people are willingly to have not more than two kids, cut down expenses , increase savings in order to establish businesses , support existing businesses or form partnership businesses.

deb: You sounded like one of those who know the truth but still deliberately chose to be blinded by sentiments. If you knew all these and you are only scoring him 10% on just "this area" what makes you think that a very low and poor thinker like your GEJ can score beyond 10 in any other area?

Even you should make a better President than GEJ. Leadership is not about position it's about who we are. A lot of us don't just believe enough in ourselves that we think a fellow human being is better than us just by the virtue of the position mother luck afforded them.

If GEJ, in your honest opinion for the first time I guess, can score just 10% in what should be the basic knowledge of any Head of State of a nation, what else can he score above 10%? "If the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do?" even if the "righteous" GEJ meant well? He simply cannot give what he does not have and that is where we find ourselves. GEJ is the president but he is not the one ruling. The guy na "Odeson"
To be truthful to you

YOU SPOKE LIKE A BABY

If you understand life with a matured mind , you would hold the intellectual community partially responsible for not looking deep into our various national challenges and finding conventional and unconventional solutions to them.

Is Jona God that knows everything. Why do you think the bible says there is safety in the multitude of counsels.

Do you know that your positive suggestions can get to him when those around him read it , believe it and suggest it to him.

Go through you comment and compare it with mine and you will realize that you are a destructive critics who never suggested a single conventional or unconventional solution to poverty

Social Media is not a place to insult people but to suggest better alternatives.

If I am Tinubu Buhari APC I will never include you in my inner circle because of your baby mentality

Finally go through your post and compare between you and Jona who is "Odeson" and tell me

JuanDeDios: Bolded is a particularly important point that is not often talked about. No society where two random individuals cannot come together and do business can progress. It takes two things to achieve such a society - societal values which breed trust, and the rule of law which produces a judiciary the citizens can rely on knowing that if anything goes wrong the courts can be trusted to settle the matter according to law.
That's the fact and the more reason Jona must educate Nigerians through the mass media to take the 3 steps I stated
Politics › Re: We’ve Reduced Poverty By 50% – Jonathan by BlackTechnology: 11:33pm On Sep 27, 2014
OLADD: The president's rating might not be far from the reality. Whether 50% or less, the most important thing is the fact that Nigeria has moved forward from its poverty level some years back. One mistake almost everybody on this thread seems to be making is thinking that the govt is responsible for bringing food to the table of all citizens. No govt, I repeat, no govt can single handedly eradicate poverty from the land! If this is not so, why do they have homeless people in the US? Why do they have street beggars whistling for arms on the street of New York? The best any govt can do to minimise poverty is to create the enabling environment for the citizens to be self engaged and self sufficient and GEJ is truly working towards that. In Nigeria, with massive investment in Electricity sector, it's just a matter of time before artisans, manufacturers and other corporate bodies begin to operate at optimal levels. In the area of agriculture, this administration has indeed reduced poverty level through agric subsidies and loans to rural farmers. All these and many more may have informed the President's assertion. But most importantly, we must remove the toga of believing that governments all over the world have all it takes to eradicate poverty. It's impossible till the end of ages.
You are right

That is why he shouldn't have said 50%

He should have said poverty is reducing

Goddex: Why?
The statistics are there - World Bank, IMF etc
It doesn't mean that everybody is now rich but poverty has definitely reduced
There is no accurate data in Nigeria. So you can't trust WB and IMF statistics.

Besides my reasons for disagreeing with Jona (my man) is stated in the modified post you quoted.
Politics › Re: We’ve Reduced Poverty By 50% – Jonathan by BlackTechnology:
Jonathan I no support you for this one you talk oooooo

Poverty can only reduce when people create businesses that employs people.

Businesses that create jobs can only come into existence when people

1) See it as part of their civic responsibility

2) Are willingly to give out long term low interest rate loans to small medium and large scale businesses

3) Are willingly to go into business partnership directly or indirectly

In all these, the FG has failed to massively educate Nigerians to apply these 3 understanding and lots more

How many Nigerians earning at least 50 000 naira monthly are saving with the intention of going into part time business or lending long term low interest loans to businesses after 10yrs of savings.

In the thread " 7 things about Switzerland you don't know, the OP made us realise that some things were not automated in order to create jobs for book keepers because the swiss believe in low unemployment."

GEJ in this area I will score you 10%
