sunnyolads1: These people are too lazy o,haba why are they crying before they were beaten? the truth is that all your threats can't do anything. you command your kinsman anyhow and threat him because he is a dullard and clueless. Let it be known to you that once a soldier is always a soldier. even GEJ refused to accept defeat at the polls and handover to military it will still go to GMB because he is a soldier whether retired or not. So your kinsman will still lose out. Now, with all this threats here and there from Niger Delta i can foreseen the end of militancy in that region because you cant spit on a soldier as you always did to your own kinsmsn. Therefore I advised you militants to seek favour of the incoming government or you become a story in Nigeria. A word is enough for the wise. When a political-military illiterate like you talk, I shake my head Just one bomb, production will decline and salaries/fuel will go into scarcity. |

Politics › Re: Has God Stopped Listening To Us by BlackTechnology: 12:49pm On Apr 29, 2015 |
gsainttrinity: Never has it been in our history as a country has a sitting president sort the approval of God to help retain his position as the number one person as did our dear Goodluck Jonathan. We watched him call on every church assembly anywhere within the length and breath of the federation from the popular ones like ''winners chapel and RCCG'' to the not too popular ones in remote areas in Otuoke. Interestingly he was loved in return with one of his closest persons being members of the clergy like the influential Ayo Oritsejafor. The president visited Jerusalem, had the privilege of having the most anointed Nigerian pastors lay hands on him as individuals and group. To many faith-fools like myself, his victory in the polls was certain I mean who can change what God has ordained according to the numerous prophecies.
Come march 29th, we watched in helplessness something that has never happened in our country unfold before our very eyes. "Jonathan" LOST his incumbency to the opposition who is a 'muslim'. Now that was significant. GOD did not answer our prayers. Even if he, God refused us our request what of those of the Bishops, Cardinals, apostles and prophets? They all got deafening and embarrassing rejection. Reminds me of a popular Episode in the Bible where Ahab consulted the prophets and they were all singing his praise of victory whereas God's approved death awaited him.
Now to answer the question if God had actually stopped listening, I would have to ask a corresponding question "Was God ever listening to Us at all?"
God is like an Umpire in the fight between Good and evil, between christians and Muslims, between this or that because as we all know and agree, God is the creator of everything. God is God because of his neutrality in matters that concerns our selfish and personal fulfillment. Imagine God taking sides in matters that divides us as humans whether in the very controversial issues of whether Homosexuality should be practiced or not, or whether migrants should be granted asylum or not, there and then God would loss his credibility as God just as an umpire would loss his credibility when he decides to front for one of the contending opponents.
It should not come as surprise where non believing societies like china and Russia tend to prosper much more than staunchly pious societies like ours here in Nigeria. The chinese does not need Marathon Night vigils to unleash the miracle of abundant blessings. They currently have more than a hundred Billionaires in dollars.
In Nigeria every sunday we are inundated with testimonies of some very few who claim God has blessed them with multi million naira jobs "glory be to God" but what we fail to ask ourselves, what happens to the remaining thousands in the congregation without jobs or food to eat. Does it mean that God hates them?
If we as a society must escape the Jonathan syndrome, we must banish the thought or action of an unnecessary reliance on "God" to perform any magic because with or without any divine hobnob we could as a people prosper as long as we put into practice the universal principle for success.
I know many would want to argue that I am demeaning christianity and religion in general, but I am saying is that whatever religion we choose to follow, it should be a thing for the mind only not something to replace the position of common sense, reality and responsibility.
Finally, God has not stopped listening because he was not even listening.
I know it would break many peoples heart but that's the truth.

Teejizzle: It is pertinent to note that whenever the igbo lose out in power, they suddenly remember their secession agenda. when the igbo lost out in the power play in the 60's after forming an alliance with the north to grab power in the first republic, ojukwu attempted to secede. Now in 2015 that Jonathan has lost an election, all we hear is biafra this and Niger delta republic that. Now the question is, why now? After conniving with the ND to loot Nigeria dry for six years they now remember that Nigeria is a fraud, unjust and a zoo. Their best time was last year when BH reign supreme, when our army was helpless.they should have declared their republic without a shot from the NA. But no,they were carried away with the perks of power and now they are raring their head when they have lost out of power again. Are these people not clowns? EUROBOMBER: Fellow Nigerians, I have heard that Buhari intends to probe the allegation made by the former CBN Governor-Lamido Sanusi that $20b dollars could not be accounted for under Jonathan.
I hereby call on Buhari to also probe how the billions of dollars Nigeria made under President Babangida during the Gulf War popularly referred to as the Gulf oil windfall was spent.
I hereby call on Buhari to probe billions of dollars spent by former President Obasanjo on power to ascertain how the money was spent.
If Buhari can probe Babangida, Obasanjo & Jonathan we will surely recover several billions of dollars which could be channelled into meaningful development of this country.

I was billed to attend that meeting, but i was tightly scheduled.
Let me also encourage the people of both region, that our interest/existence,and how, were discussed at length,as i was rightly informed.
Let me also say that,Igbos are the major beneficiary of the march 28 election,as it rewrote the misconception of our people against them,as championed by the evil yoruba media propaganda since during and after the war. Its now obvious that the enemy of the 'south',is not the north, but those who always serve as a willing tool in the hand of the north,to strifle the wishes of their co-southern 'ex-brothers'. omonnakoda: Rubbish! Jonathan lost because he failed to unify the South and ALLOWED a sense of marginalization to grow in the SW. His strategic mistakes were many chief of which was failing to include the SW positively in his government. There will always be jostling for supremacy between SE and SW in any SS led government such as his.His challenge was to determine what was in his best interest.Rather he allowed a sort of SE triumphalism. How can you talk of a united South when Stella Oduah was firing Yorubas with disdain. That was her own agenda but he did nothing. In the ened the SW swung the other way.If the SW had voted as it did in 2011 there would be no victory for Buhari His other problem was pettiness and a childish tenndency to pick ridiculous fights with OBJ,Amaechi,Sanusi,Oyinlola etc. Finally he lacked confidence in dealing with the North choosing to appease them instead of strengthening his hand in the South. He should have appointed a southern Minister in Abuja and refused to appoint a Northern National security adviser and finally he should have dealt with Kwankwaso long ago. Overall he did not know what to do and because of his lack of exposure was only able to surround himself with his fellow Ijaw. He should have been the one to make a deal with Tinubu but that would have been too intimidating for the "small" men he preferred to have around him He miscalculated badly on how important OBJ was to him this was indeed stupid and I strongly believe that would have been under the influence of his wife.Overall ,I think she was a very bad political influence. He should have declared his intention to run long ago.Particularly he should have declared this to Obasanjo who is much respected in the North. I do not think his loss was inevitable. He was just a very bad and incompetent politician Don't weep when the CHANGE SW clamoured for turns into you guys nightmare If this change turns bad, we the people of SE/SS will mock you guys. |

specco: He has said it all. It 's all about the North. The hidden agenda has been laid bare. The whole idea, mergers and plots was solely to return power back to the north and avenge a perceived insult to the north by Jonathan. And to think that the SW was a willing tool in the hands of thie 'born to rule north' without even knowing it is baffling. 'Nobody will insult the north and get away with it', he boasts. All thanks to the betrayal of a section of the South. The Yorubas were used big time. proudlyhandsome: My friend, let's be honest with ourselves, how many times have you seen Fulanis killing people in South East?
I grew up in the West and Fulanis were everywhere with their cows. And for 26yrs I spent before leaving Nigeria for outside world, I didn't hear any incident of Fulanis killing Yorubas or Yorubas killing Fulanis.
The same thing with Hausas in Sabo, there has never been any incident btw Hausa/Yoruba/Igbo throughout my years back home.
And the funny thing about where their shops are in Akure is that Hausa/Yorubas/Igbos shops are side by side along Oba Adesida road up to Oyemekun Road. What I am trying to say is that Fulani/Hausas are peace loving people if you don't step on their toes.
