Davido lies effortlessly. He might be a student of the fake messaih. If he say, he will inherit billions of niara from his dad then I will agree. His dad is not recognized as Forbes billionaires in Africa not talk of America. Davido should stop taking too much martel.even if he is the ambassador. Some fools will still believe him now and start attacking Wizkid and burna boy who are so successful.

CelebritiesI’ve Billions Of Dollars Waiting For Me If I Stop Working, Davido Brags by BlackViper(op): 2:05pm On Jul 28, 2025
Davido has revealed the reason behind his dedication to his music career, despite being the son of a billionaire.

Born David Adeleke, the singer is the son of Nigerian business mogul and billionaire Adedeji Adeleke.

In a recent viral video, the 32-year-old artiste acknowledged his privileged background, boasting that he has a “billion-dollar inheritance secured” for him, even if he never works another day in his life.

However, the singer emphasised that there is a clear distinction between David Adeleke, the billionaire’s son, and Davido, the hardworking musician.

He admitted that he sometimes questions why he pushes himself so hard, given that financial security is already guaranteed.

“I’m regretting to myself for being hardworking. From today, if I don’t work again in my life, I have billion of dollars but a lot of odds against me is why I said fvxc it , I gotta do this” – Davido

The singer said that despite his wealth, his drive comes from passion, not money.

“I am regretting to myself for being hardworking. The individual strength and the type of mental ability that goes into this type of head,” he said.

“Especially when you have a lot of odds against me. I got to do it, men. It is another David. Get the f**k up. It was not for the money. I have got billions of dollars waiting for me. If I do not work all my life, I have got billions of dollars waiting for me. I love my job.”

Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to fame in 2012 after releasing ‘Dami Duro,’ the second single from his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’.

He has since established a name for himself as one of Africa’s leading artistes as well as one of the Afrobeats ‘Big Three’.

Since his debut album, he has delivered other projects, including ‘A Good Time’ (2019), ‘A Better Time‘ (2020), and ‘Timeless’ (2023).

The singer released ‘5ive’, his fourth studio album, in April. He also embarked on a 5-city tour for the body of work.

Davido is also the founder of DMW, a record label established in April 2016. The music label has served as home to a plethora of music talents.

PoliticsBashir Ahmad: Farmers Diverted FG Loans Into BDC, Oil Sector by BlackViper(op): 12:19pm On Jul 28, 2025
Bashir Ahmad, former special assistant on digital communications to late President Muhammadu Buhari, says many of the intervention programmes for farmers during the last administration “were grossly abused”.

Ahmad made the disclosure in a post on X, the microblogging platform, while responding to a post where one Yakubu Wudil queried the federal government’s decision to offer import waivers as part of measures to crash food prices.

Wudil argued that instead, the government should have invested in “subsidising fertilizers, gasoline, and provide modern farm equipment for our farmers”.

In response, Ahmad said some of the interventions Wudil highlighted were provided by the Buhari-led administration through initiatives like the Anchor Borrowers’ Programme (ABP).

The ABP was launched in 2015 to create a linkage between anchor companies involved in the processing and small holder farmers (SHFs) of the required key agricultural commodities.

In 2023, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said it disbursed N1.09 trillion under the programme since its inception.

“Billions of Naira were allocated to farmers with the goals of achieving food security, reducing poverty, and curbing unemployment and insecurity,” Ahmad said.

“Some farmers received loans running into billions, some even up to ₦6 billion, but instead of investing in agriculture, many diverted the funds to other sectors like oil and gas, bureau de change, and other luxury ventures.

“Those who actually farmed? After harvesting, they hoarded their produce, waiting for prices to spike so they could make exaggerated profits, at the expense of the same masses the initiative was meant to support.”

You are absolutely right, Doc., and I won’t attempt to counter your point. Instead, I’ll just take this opportunity to share something I have some knowledge of regarding this issue.

To be honest, I am with the Federal Government on this one. Many of the interventions you rightly… https:///PEUAnMNjbw

— Bashir Ahmad, OON (@BashirAhmaad) July 27, 2025

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in 2023 that only 24 percent of loans collected by farmers under the ABP had been repaid.

The CBN, however, said 52 percent had been repaid countering the IMF.

On the border closure directive of the administration, Ahmad said the policy, aimed at encouraging local production, was misunderstood despite Buhari’s good intentions.

“The policy was misunderstood and widely attacked — even when the signs of success were evident, rice importation dropped and many Nigerians were pulled out of extreme poverty,” Ahmad said.

“The unfortunate truth is that the beneficiaries of the initiatives failed the government and the people. They didn’t help stabilize food prices. Instead, they formed cartels, manipulated supply and created artificial scarcity to make outrageous profits.”

He added that many of the beneficiaries are currently being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Ahmad further said that he supports the food import waiver, even though it “shouldn’t be the go-to option”.

He explained that given the current economic realities, the government has to make tough choices, especially “given the betrayal of trust by key players in the local value chain”.

“It has become the only immediate relief available to reduce hunger and suffering in the short term,” he said.

“The long-term solution still lies in reviving and properly monitoring agricultural interventions, but for now, the people need to feed, first.”

We all know who this ruling was meant to benefit in reality. In fact, the person commenting immediately above me has nailed it right on the head

It reminds me of what happened recently in the WAFCON. The Moroccan team had a defender who was dressed "religiously" and she was the worst player on the team. She was directly responsible for giving away two of the goals that Morocco conceded.

Imagine covering yourself from head fo toe when you're in a place that's experiencing intense heat wave and the weather is very hot and uncomfortable😏

Anyway, I'm glad the Moroccans lost on top of their laser light ojoro antics.

Politics‘fiscal Recklessness’ — ADC Faults Tinubu Over $21bn Loan by BlackViper(op): 1:22am On Jul 28, 2025
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused President Bola Tinubu of plunging the country into a deeper debt crisis.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Bolaji Abdullahi, ADC’s national publicity secretary, said the approval of a fresh $21 billion in foreign loans by the national assembly would push Nigeria’s public debt beyond N200 trillion by the end of the year.

Abdullahi said Tinubu had outpaced former President Muhammadu Buhari in borrowing, despite failing to improve infrastructure or stimulate the economy.

“The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is deeply concerned by the Tinubu administration’s dangerous obsession with borrowing,” the statement reads.

“What Nigerians are witnessing, following the approval of a fresh $21 billion in foreign loans, is nothing short of a calculated decision to mortgage the country’s future just to cover up the failures of today.”

Abdullahi said Buhari borrowed an average of N4.7 trillion annually, but Tinubu’s government had raised that figure tenfold.

“In just two years, this administration has borrowed more than ten times what Buhari borrowed in the same timeframe,” he said.

“At this rate, Nigeria’s total public debt will crash through ₦200 trillion before the end of the year.”

He said Tinubu’s supporters often cite lower borrowing in dollar terms, but argued that the current exchange rate had worsened the real impact on the economy.

“With the naira now in free fall, again thanks to this administration’s poor policy choices, these same loans are costing the country far more,” he said.

“When converted to naira, Tinubu’s foreign borrowing amounts to ₦25.5 trillion every year, more than Buhari’s annual average of ₦2.2 trillion.”

Abdullahi said Nigeria’s total public debt has ballooned from N12.6 trillion in 2015 to over N149 trillion in 2025, while the country’s external debt stock continues to surge.

He claimed that the debt owed to the World Bank has tripled, Eurobonds have multiplied elevenfold, and foreign debt is projected to hit $67 billion if current trends continue.

“This reckless borrowing, repeated year after year, with no plan to repay it, and no effort to use it productively, will leave our children repaying debts that they did not incur or benefit from,” he said.

“The debts have continued to mount, but infrastructures have remained poor, universities are still grossly underfunded, hospitals are still ill-equipped and electricity supply is as poor as ever. So, what exactly are these loans used for?”

He accused the national assembly of failing in its oversight duty by approving loans without scrutiny or accountability.

“Instead, it has continued to approve these loans without asking the hard questions, without demanding a plan, and without standing up for the Nigerian people,” Abdullahi said.

The party said small businesses had been severely affected by Tinubu’s economic policies, citing concerns from the Association of Small Business Owners of Nigeria.

“Small businesses can no longer access credit. Investors are losing confidence and pulling out. And because over 60 percent of our national income is now used to service debt, the government is turning to ordinary Nigerian families and taxing them beyond their limits,” the statement added.

The ADC demanded full disclosure of all loan agreements signed over the last 10 years by both the Buhari and Tinubu administrations.

“Nigerians have a right to know the terms, interest rates, payment timelines, and final recipients of the loans,” it said.

The party also called on the president to end “fiscal recklessness” and focus on meaningful reforms.

“The era of borrowing to cover policy failures must come to an end,” Abdullahi said.

The lack of intellectual depth Nigerians are capable of never ceases to amaze me.
This is victim blaming at its very worst.

Not every medication is efficable in the same way. There are contraindications and adverse reactions when it comes to administering drugs

There are some people whose constitutions can only tolerate this particular type of medication when they are infected with malaria. Asking them to stop complaining and start experimenting with sketchy generic brands of a drug which they could easily afford less than 2 years ago is the height of callous insensitivity to the plight of the common Nigerian.

dominique:
There are cheaper types of anti-malaria medications, go for them and leave the 10k ones for those that can afford them. Regardless of who is in power, we've had Nigerians that can too broke to afford stuffs and those comfortable enough to. All these Nigerians can't afford this, Nigerians can't afford that talks is getting tiring.
Science/TechnologyAI Coding Tool Wipes Production Database, Fabricates 4,000 Users, And Tells Lies by BlackViper(op): 5:02am On Jul 26, 2025
AI coding tool wipes production database, fabricates 4,000 users, and lies to cover its tracks

A widely used AI coding assistant from Replit reportedly went rogue, wiping a database and generating 4,000 fictional users with completely fabricated data.

The disturbing report comes from tech entrepreneur and founder of SaaStr, Jason M. Lemkin, who took to social media with a cautionary tale.

“I am worried about safety. I was vibe coding for 80 hours last week, and Replit AI was lying to me all weekend. It finally admitted it lied on purpose,” he said on a LinkedIn video

According to his claims, the AI assistant ignored repeated instructions and went on concealing bugs and issues by generating fake data, fabricating reports, and lying about the results of unit tests.

Lemkin states that the AI tool modified the code despite his instructions not to do so. “I never asked to do this, and it did it on its own. I told it 11 times in ALL CAPS DON’T DO IT.”

He attempted to enforce a code freeze within Replit, but quickly discovered it was impossible.

“There is no way to enforce a code freeze in vibe coding apps like Replit. There just isn’t,” he wrote.

“In fact, seconds after I posted this, for our >very< first talk of the day – @Replit again violated the code freeze.”

Despite continued efforts to rein in the AI’s behavior, he found that Replit couldn’t guarantee running a unit test without risking a database wipe.

Ultimately, he concluded that the platform simply isn’t ready for production use, especially not for its core audience of non-technical users hoping to build commercial software without writing code.

With 30 million users worldwide, Replit has been a major player in software development. It offers AI tools to help users write, test, and deploy code.

Amjad Masad, the CEO of Replit, posted a response to Lemkin's troublesome coding situation. He took to X to apologize for the mistakes created by its AI tool, which Masad deemed “unacceptable” and said “should never be possible.”

Masad claims that the Replit team worked around the weekend to deploy “automatic DB dev/prod separation to prevent this categorically.”

The post says that “staging environments (are) in the works, too. More tomorrow,” Masad said.

Replit’s CEO also referenced the “code freeze pain” and said that the company is “actively working on a planning/chat-only mode” so that users can “strategize without risking (their) codebase.”

Masad said that Replit will reimburse Lemkin for his troubles and “conduct a postmortem to determine exactly what happened and how we can better respond to it in the future.”

“I know Replit says 'improvements are coming soon,’ but they are doing $100m+ ARR. At least make the guardrails better. Somehow. Even if it's hard. It's all hard,” Lemkin said on a post on X.
AI coding is controversial

AI coding tools are fueling a new trend in the tech scene: vibe coding. The term was allegedly coined by Andrej Karpathy, co-founder of OpenAI, who posted about “giving in to the vibes and forgetting that the code even exists.”

Anysphere, the AI startup behind popular AI code tool Cursor, just bagged a $900 million funding round at a $9.9 billion valuation. Founded by ex-OpenAI and Tesla engineers, the company claims to be generating a billion lines of code a day.

However, many coders are unhappy with AI's results, as it simply “writes trash code.” One problem is that AI follows its own logic while coding, which might be tricky to understand, troubleshoot, or build upon.

Some Redditors described AI coding like this: “The drunk uncle walks by after the wreck and gives you a roll of duct tape before asking to borrow some money to go to Vegas.”

Security is another problem. The growing adoption of AI-generated code could be seen as a live opportunity for exploitation, as it potentially leaves many security loopholes.

Hackers are also targeting vibe coders by offering them a malicious extension for vibe coding. One of such malicious extension has been downloaded 200,000 times. However, instead of providing any useful features, the extension runs PowerShell scripts, giving attackers remote access to the infected computer.

Yes, how dare those illiterate Nigerians complain instead of celebrating the newspaper "achievements" of the sub evolved entity who rules over them from the comfort of his perch in Aso Rock!
Imagine having the audacity to complain about malaria medication increasing by 3 times in less than 2 years!

Difrent:
Exactly.
Many Nigerians are financial illiterates , in times of economic hardships like this some ordinary folks will still be forming and be rubbing shoulder with the rich instead of adjusting, then go on social media to rant.

There are many cheap ways to treat malaria, one obvious cheap way is to buy insurance, the person that posted that news didn't do health insurance for their staff , yet will come online to grandstand

PoliticsTinubu Developing South, Neglecting North-kwankwaso by BlackViper(op): 7:54pm On Jul 24, 2025
The strongman of Kano politics, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has criticised the President Bola Tinubu administration for what he described as the neglect of the northern region of Nigeria and the concentration of the nation’s resources on developing the southern part of the country where the president comes from.

“Let me advise the Federal Government on the distribution of federal resources,” the former Kano governor said on Thursday at the Kano State Stakeholders’ Dialogue on the 2025 Constitutional Amendment.

“From the information available to us, it’s like most of the national budget is now tilting in one direction in this country.”

Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of lopsided allocation of scarce resources between the two regions of the country.

He said, “Let me advise those who are struggling by all means to take everything to remember that some of the issues that we have in this part of the country today have to do with the lack of enough resources and mismanagement of the little that comes in.

“That is why we have insecurity, we have poverty and so on. It is happening here mainly, but like a desert, it would go everywhere.”

Kwankwaso said most roads in the northern region remained in deplorable condition, whilst the APC government continued to allocate lump budgetary allocations for infrastructural development in the southern region.

“Yesterday, I was to come by air, but unfortunately, my airline decided to shift our takeoff from 3pm to 8pm. I had to come by road. to Kano was a hell. Terrible. Very bad road. This is a road started many years ago, right from the beginning of the leadership of the APC.

“Now, we are told that there is a road from the South to the East. We support infrastructure anywhere in this country…and any other thing that is good for the masses but a situation where government is taking our resources and dumping it in one part of the country and other parts of the country are left just like that, I don’t believe that is the right thing to do by the government itself.”

He urged the Tinubu administration to change for the better and ensure the equitable distribution of scarce resources for the development of all parts of the country.

“This is the time for the government to change, to convince our people that the government is not just on one side of the country,” he said.

Kwankwaso As The New Bride?

With the 2027 election less than two years away, Kwankwaso, who commands a cult-like following with his red-capped socio-religious group known as Kwankwasiyya, has seemingly become the new darling now desperately courted by political parties — from the ruling APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Kwankwaso’s Monday meeting with Tinubu at the Aso Villa has further widened the optics that the president is seeking an alliance with the former Kano governor to trounce the ADC opposition coalition that has his closest rivals Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi and win a re-election in 2027.

Historically, since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999, the northern region of the country, especially Kano, always had the highest voter turnout at presidential elections, making it a darling of politicians jostling for Aso Rock top job.

For instance, in the 2023 presidential election, Kano, a major battleground state, had about 1.7 million cumulative votes. NNPP’s Kwankwaso scored 997,279, APC’s Tinubu polled 517,341 votes, PDP’s Atiku got 131,716 votes while Obi of the Labour Party got 28,513 votes. Interestingly, of the 44 local government areas in Kano, Kwankwaso won in 38 of them.

At the 2023 presidential election, Kwankwaso secured 1,496,687 total votes and came distant fourth in the election won by Tinubu who garnered 8,794,726 total votes. Atiku came second with 6,984,520 while Obi came third with 6,101,533 votes.

At the moment, Kwankwaso’s godson Abba Kabir of the NNPP is Kano governor but the APC controls two of the three senatorial districts in the North-West state.

CelebritiesI’m senior to Pete Edochie in acting — Yemi Solade by BlackViper(op): 5:44am On Jul 24, 2025
Popular Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade, has disclosed that he started acting before veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie.

Solade said this while sharing experience and history on his journey in the Yoruba section of the industry after his episode on a show called ‘Father’s Path with Tope’.

“I’m senior to Pete Edochie, I started acting before him, though he’s older than me. I was 17 in 1977 when I represented Nigeria as the Youngest Actor, and I’ve done 48 years in the industry and still standing,” he said.

The actor explained how other sections within Nollywood had been documenting their works in cassettes and advertising them for other people to purchase.

According to him, that the Yoruba industry did not start documentation earlier does not mean others should take credit for starting the Nollywood industry.

He said, “The first Nigerian, Ade Ajiboye ‘Big Abass’, the first home video in this country. We’ve been doing it, there was film, the celluloid and everything. We had the likes of Ogundes, we had Baba Salas, we had Ade Afolayans, Kunle’s father; we had Dr Ola Balogun, who is still around, and so many other big names, most of them are gone now.

“Even when home video was starting, it was just an experiment that was carried out by the likes of Muyideen Alade Aromire. We were all doing this drama, and then they just brought this camcorder, let’s record what we are doin,g which was documented in a cassette and was arranged in bookshelves. So, you as a shop owner, would introduce the cassette for people to buy; it all started like that.”

He further explained how the Yoruba industry didn’t document their work earlier, which made others think they’ve been in the game for long.

“My people in the Yoruba setting didn’t document anything; that was why the other people in the industry just stepped in to say they started it. ‘Hey shut up’; when people like us are here, we will let you know you didn’t start anything.

“They could say that because they romance the media but the Yoruba industry was just acting. Most of them weren’t schooled; they didn’t know anything about the media, and they enjoyed themselves. Adebayo Salami is alive; he will tell you a deeper story that I’m telling you, he’s older than me. Jide Kosoko is alive, we all work together.”

How does this even make sense and how is it relevant to what OP said? Are the people languishing in Asian jails denying their criminal liability or are they holding any elected office in Nigeria?

Chivisee:
But did you know it’s way different from people that poverty has driven to atleast each member in their region to be languishing in Asians jail for one drugs case to another??

Hmm. Something about this is not adding up. How did Nigeria's banking system allow itself to become complicit in this?

CrimeMadagascar Sentences 24-Year-Old Man To Castration For Raping 6-Year-Old Girl by BlackViper(op): 2:48am On Jul 21, 2025
For the first time in Madagascar, a court has ruled that surgical castration be carried out on a sex offender, who raped and murdered a six-year-old girl.

The 24-year-old man has been sentenced to surgical castration and life imprisonment with hard labour – the first time the law will be applied since it was voted through in parliament more than a year ago.

"Today's decision is a strong and significant response from the justice system, intended also to serve as a warning to anyone with similar malicious intentions," said Didier Razafindralambo, attorney general at the Court of Appeal.

According to Madagascar’s justice ministry, 133 cases of the rape of a minor were reported in January 2024 alone – more than four per day.

The offender in this case took the six-year-old girl to his home in March 2024, where he beat, raped and strangled her and burnt her with cigarette butts.

Surgical castration is a permanent procedure involving the removal of the testicles, or ovaries, to stop the production of sex hormones.

It is a rare form of punishment, only used in Germany, the Czech Republic, the state of Louisiana in the United States and that of Kaduna in Nigeria – and now Madagascar.

Chemical castration involves the use of drugs to stop the production of sex hormones. The punishment has been introduced in several US states, and several countries.

Madagascar's Justice Minister Landy Mbolatiana Randriamanantenasoa said that the introduction of the law enabling surgical castration was necessary due to increasing cases of child rape.

Surgical castration will be the default punishment for those found guilty of raping a child under the age of 10, according to the new law. Cases of rape against children between the ages of 10 and 13 will be punished by either surgical or chemical castration. The rape of minors between the age of 14 and 17 will be punished by chemical castration.
'Cruel and inhuman'

The country's Catholic bishops have condemned the law, saying it goes against ethics and morality. They described castration as an act of "torture", contrary to human rights and the principles of the Church.

"The human body, as the work of God, is sacred," they said in a statement. "So nothing and no one has authority over it, not even the law."

The law has also drawn criticism from several rights groups. At the time of the law's proposal, Amnesty International called castration a "cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment" and said it was "inconsistent with Malagasy constitutional provisions against torture and other ill-treatment, as well as regional and international human rights standards".

However, Jessica Lolonirina Nivoseheno of Women Break the Silence – a movement against rape culture in Madagascar – told RFI that the punishment will act as a deterrent.

"Rape culture is so present in Madagascar. Sexual violence is normalised. The punishment is a way of telling potential offenders that there are consequences for their crime."

Foreign AffairsRe: Putin’s Soldiers Killed ‘in Mass Poisoning By Laced Bottles Of Water’ by BlackViper:
Putin really overplayed his hand in starting this conflict and now his arrogance, lack of intelligence and lack of principles is keeping his country in it.

Russian casualties are rapidly approaching the 1 million mark and it will all be Putin's fault.

Russia can NEVER win this war because Ukraine is a proxy for NATO and EU members all of which are far wealthier than Russia's glorified camel jockey allies from the Middle East and Africa.

Even China that would have supported them is dealing with the repercussions of Donald Trump’s tariffs and the possibility of their own looming conflict over the future sovereignty of Taiwan.
