The Poco is indicated global version and was sealed with transparent film.
The Pad 4 was sealed with tamper proof tape at the sides. Only official version is Chinese with English.

I first heard this on the last Nigerian Idol; the performance was enough to make me eagerly wait for his next album.

US tv's receive NTSC video. Nigerian stations broadcast in PAL.
If your device(s) like DVD or Decoder or game console has option in setting to change tv type to NTSC, do that.
For regular stations, you must buy a video systems converter with inbuilt tuner. It has RF in for antenna, AV in for devices and AV out to the tv. They are not easy to find in Naija.
Also get a step down transformer if you haven't got one already. Most likely, the voltage input for the tv is 110v. Naija supply is 240v.

For loss of steering controls, I mean the Cruise controls, horn and radio volume/search buttons. The red illuminations under these buttons will be off too.

Good day Siena, Hope you can help here 'cos I've just about had it.

PROBLEMS (and not limited to the below)

a) At times, (25) you feel that the gear is not changing as it should. All of PRND432 illuminated.
b) Most times, drives ok, but still all of PRND432 illuminated.
c) All the time, a heavy/serious THUD is heard and felt when moving from stand still (especially at stop lights/ hold ups) and also on downshifts. Gear oil has been changed, brake solenoid () changed, brake switch etc. Need to mention here that in attempts to fix this, gear/engine sitting has been worked on, gear brain box opened and other things the mechanic may not have the liver to tell me 'cos I raised hell of the repeated promises and same issue re-occurrences.
d) Recently, Air bag fault pops up on info screen, even after scan check and wipe. Air bag never deployed before.
e) (41) Feels like only left side of brake pads engaged. I have changed all 4 pads a few times
f) After 2 hrs of rugged driving, brake pedal feels flat on ground, even though brake fluid is at full. No Break fluid leaks at all.
g) Check engine light always pops back on (and stays on) less than an hour after oil change.
h) Right back door lock does not work with central lock (windows work ok).
i) Right side mirror does not auto-fold with control switch.
j) Recently, a small fuse for the AC, horn and all the steering controls keeps burning out, with or without the AC on.
k) Dash display is not steady, contrast changes on its own with some pixels/bits dark on not there at all.
l) Water leaking into car (not from sun roof), floor carpets wet.
All issues have been attempted to fix at least twice with separate mechanics

Car handling and control is superb when all ok, but that's becoming far in between.
What do you think?

I am no expert but can say this:
TRUE: Original parts are costly (like any other brand for that matter).
TRUE: Fuel consumption is higher than the Jap cars but not THAT much.
TRUE: Mechanics are uncomfortable just looking under the hood (u would too, but with amazement)

However, for a car built between 2001 and 2004,
It is a pleasure to look at (inside and out).
Definitely a pleasure to drive (road handling and access to function buttons).
Fuel consumption is made up by performance.
And when you do get/fix original parts, you can forget about that part giving you another problem.
The body is near rock-strong. Over-all durability so much better than the Japs.

If your stomach is strong enough to handle the "higher costs" of maintenance, its a VERY alright car. It may take a little longer fixing issues in/around the engine because you have to remove the bumpers and radiators (V6 model). Seems the engine is slid horizontally INTO place from the front, not dropped in from top. You should just see my mechanic in action (thats where most of the expenses go- labour charge).
It also helps if you are the only one using it. That way, you'll quickly notice any changes/abnormalities, limiting your trips to "engineer" to REGULAR servicing. Note the word REGULAR.

Bottom line; only a mechanic who knows his onions (that of VW/Audi/Skoda) will make you enjoy the car. Wrong mechanic and you'll regret owning a car (and thats general advice for ANY car). More Jap mechanics out there, because more Jap/Korean cars out there. And thats because of massive marketing by Jap/Korean auto makers. Check the papers, European cars are'nt half as advertised as the Asian cars. (Thats another story).
