Sure it was very painful for me tho I get crisis almost 4 times in a month it was very painful couldn't even do anything about it I wanted to kill myself cuz I keep buying drugs even when I no get money to chop I go still dey think of money to buy drugs it was toughest moment of my life until I start taking immunozine drugs everything just happened like magic it no longer bother me although I still do take malaria and pain relief drugs you know

Always stay hydrated and ALWYS have your Antibiotics and malaria drugs very close to you at home so you won't have to go to the pharmacy or another location to get it in cases of emergency..A warrior lost his battle 2days ago because he didn't have access to these meds when the crisis hit him around 1am and in a few hours it became so bad and he passed on the way to the hospital..Keep the antibiotics and malaria drugs close to you,preferably injections rather than tablets because the work a lot faster,and time matters a lot.. the longer the crisis the bigger the damages internally..God is your healer stay strong

Please join a sickle cell association on his behalf and update yourself with new developments. There are better ways of managing it now. Some children do bone marrow transplant for a cure. There was an experimental drug/supplement used by a cousin and a family friend years ago. It worked for them.
