Also, Blaskril, i wanted asking the minimum balance required for opening a micro account with Alpari. Also, would you advise I open an account with the UK branch, the .ru, or directly from Naija? What advantanges do I stand to get opening with the naija branch? Also, can you do mobile trading on a windows based phone with their platform, and lastly what is the minimum lot size you can go on a micro account?

hey dude, yeah i made a terrible error was in a rush n went in for a smaller time frame without confirmation. My bad. Anyways wit regards your question, alpari uk has neva disappointed me.They seem so perfect n its comfortable knowing dat Uk has the best Forex regulatory body in d world. U can actually write complaints nd get a reply.This is besides the fact dat diplomatic relations btwn naija n Uk is gr8  n it takes only 6 hrs to get to d country jst in the event of a problem.
I use Alpari Uk. The minimum balance is 200 USD. The Alpari in nigeria is Alpari Russia not Alpari Nigeria i.e Its more like an agency nd does not actually trade ur funds. Funds paid here r transferred to Russia. Its a different entity from Alpari Uk. I trade with my wm based fon(samsung omnia). Dont know d advantage of opening an acct wit d naija branch of Alpari(russia). The minimum lot size is for a micro acct is 0.01.Hpe dis helps. Cheers.

Thanks Blaksril, your answer was very helpful. However I have one more question. How cost effective is trading on your phone since you need to log on to the internet to do so against using a blackberry which costs about N 5,000 per month to subscribe. I'm asking because i'm thinking of committing myself to purchasing a BB soon because of trading on the go. Asides forex i wouldn't be thinking of buying one as i'm not big on BBs. So if it won't be worth my while then i can buy another type of smart phone. Thanks once again.

Personally, i love meta trader mobile platform cos of its ease of use. Unfortunately, it works only with windows mobile powered devices. I work with only stuff i am comfortable with n have reservations for bb cos of its lack of efficient touchscreen capability n each broker seems to have its own version for their bb platforms. but meta trader is universal. U also hv to consider d fact dat bb cant act as a modem for your computer n smetimes u nid to check a large computer screen to see d full pix n for strategizing.I subscribe to mtns 24hr internet service N10k strictly 4 fx  while my bb N5k is jst 4 networking. But if your budget is tight wit regards d monthly subscriptions u cud get d bb n i cud give u trade entry n exit points. Choose a broker wisely n see wat mobile platform dey offer.

Yes u cud trade using a smart phone. the best r windows mobile enabled smart phones cos of the touch screen and the use of meta trader 4 mobile platform(which is one of the best platforms for forex). I use samsung omnia(cos the screen is wide) n htc pro to trade while i'm on the move. It can be pretty cool but it cud cause u to overtrade if u r not disciplined. hope it helps
