aasog1: Rossik is the only guy who makes Nigeria fell like a real country, and not all the Negative rubbish its been painted as. I wish the Nigerian press can temper their negative outcries and do something similar....Like I said, GEJ should employ this guy....Not all those f**ktards who cant even spell, and who curse everyone who ask logical questions from them; but since the president is a total racist, I wish him the best with those his village people working for him. Nice one bro!How is the President a racist? believe me, this is one honest question! Please enlighten me. |
agbameta: You are still parading around with fake drawing? See ya life..At the end of it all.....you are only a typical bad belle Black African, who doesn't like to see other's progress. Nothing do you, you are just being true to form. The original Abroko prototype! |
What u've stated above is completely in error, false n misleading, n gives d impression dat u're a paid propaganda agent of d govt, except u wanna tell me u landed in akwa ibom just recently. In as much as i salute and commend Gov. Akpabio 4 consolidating on d infrastructural developments which his predecessor started, it will be very uncharitable 2claim & insult d intelligence of a proud Akwa Ibom son like me dat d transformation in Akwa ibom started just in 2007. In specific terms however, Akpabio may be commended 4d developments dat have taken place in ikot ekpene zone & in some suburbs of Uyo, includin all his ambitious signature projects. But it is on record dat all major civil works in uyo including major dual-carriage roads, new housing estates in osong ama, shelter afrique et al, as well some other signature projects like Uyo-Plaza, Le Meridien hotel, et al; were on ground even before 2003. But d difference lies in d fact dat d former governor did not showcase his deeds 2d outside world as akpabio is doing thro his "uncommon transformation tv-program" showing on national networks, as well as d guided-tours which he conducts for all high-profile guests 2d state. So pls desist from makin such annoying comments dat are false.
Does it matter who built what in Akwa Ibom? The governorship of any state ought to be like a relay race....you do your lap(as best and as fast as you can) and hand over the baton to another athlete without dropping it. Development is not a one off event, it has no terminal, it is forever on-going. |
Abrantie: Yawnnnn.... B O R I N G.Why do you even bother yourself? Ehn? If you are tired, go and find somewhere to sleep. Give room for others to gbadun themselves. |
Babasessy: President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, as part of the activities of his participation in the United Nations’ General Assembly, Wednesday, met with several world leaders. At least for a change, its nice to have a President with ONE wife. I got tired of the old Agbada wearing leaders who seem more like tribal chiefs with their plenty harem |
Callotti: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!Bad belle.....no be small! |
Don't mind them jare. . .how can these old people have these small kids as children at this time of their lives.patience is still pregnant and yet to deliver.can't you see how her tummy looks like a calabash ?
o It seems most Nigerians have a craving to be comedians, Internet do something o, some people use the facelessness of these blogs to be crass and ugly. I have one word for them......HYPOCRITES If Jonah and Pat were to say, come to Aso Rock for an oil contract.....there would be a stampede. |
wealthlift: What about their villages? As soon as you show us yours....lol. |
fynewaka: Beautiful city, poor people! Why are consumed with food for your stomach? So so chop chop! |
Eko Ile: A very drab, souless and colorless city. A colossal waste of resources...I beg keep quiet, the city is not even 50 years old, typical naija, always having a moan, Mr so so so and so finds fault.....he said the sea too salt. which one you do? |
bloggernaija: A soulless city. Just like Milton Keynes in the United Kingdom , Abuja lacks character and is nothing but an emblem of waste and corruption. A capital city that has no correlation to the plight of its people.no wonder it empties out on weekends and during public holiday. You keep deceiving yourself....the rest of us are marching on. |
huptin: All these pictures are meant to deceive people who havent been to lagos right? And how many of those buildings are actually government owned? How many of these pictures were taken in Ajegunle, Alimosho, Ojo, Okokomaiko, iyana Ipaja,Egbeda etc( where most lagosians live any way). lagos ia a former Federal capial city, if it does not have all these buildings thenthat will be very strange. My friend , do keep quiet and find somewhere to sit, you are nit-picking, when the Government built Abuja, your lot said, it is a soulless city, it was made for the rich, it was built for corruption. Some people are never satisfied. Love or leave Nigeria. |
asorocker: Can somebody post the real pictures of Bariga, Shomolu, Ojota, Ketu, Alausa, Ajegunle, Ajah, Mushin , Ladipo, Oshodi , Mafoluku,Mile2 for the world to see.Exactly what difference would that make? That would still be a fraction of what Nigeria is all about. When we celebrate Lagos (and Nigeria) it is not just the attempts to modernise the cities or copy "western" culture, it is the exuberance and vibrancy of us as a people, where we can embrace ideas and international concepts and readily marry them to who we are as Nigerians, this, in effect is what makes us Africa's giant citizens. South Africa may have superior infrastructure than we have, Namibia and Kenya, may have better landscapes and architectures , Kenya and Egypt may draw more tourist visitors than we do, and Ghana and Rwanda, may be more orderly and cleaner. But not one of them is our equal in sheer talent, enterprise, culture and cuisine. Yes, we have had wasted years under those awful military regimes, but levels don change now, watch Nigeria go in the next 20 to 30 years. |
Desola: *rolling eyes*Don't roll your eyes, I know your type, you ran from Nigeria because you thought it was a dump, you ran to Europe and North America and now you cant imagine the society you left behind is making waves. I don't know what you mean by "Western", I much prefer the term "Universal" Don't forget there was a time when Europeans themselves lived in caves. That they reinvented themselves , often times with ideas borrowed from other cultures, does not mean they must now monopolise it. Some people are never satisfied shaaa! Nigeria, carry go I beg. |
dblock: The real LagosI have never had to laugh at a statement, the way I laughed at yours, for a start, Slums are not a natural phenomena, they are not built by Governments or institutions, they are not planned for, indeed slums emerge when governments and civil societies make no plan for the populace and lose control of town planning. Years of military rule, where government officials ,particularly state governors, were appointed, often times having no affiliation to the state they were posted to, meant that local governments at the grassroots were moribund and completely ineffective. The posh parts of Lagos are a testimony to what Lagos and Nigeria can be. Slums are not the real Lagos. |
Keneking: Most of these pictures are on the Lagos Island...show those from the mainland areas. Anyways what is the intention of displaying the pictures? They have been there before AC-N took over power! In addition, there are no single government /public property in the images posted...all are private investments. No matter how you treat him.....a man is never satisfied. Lagos, carry go. |
ndiofeajoka:You are just waxing lyrical....the over intelligent Nigerian, that misses the point altogether, but take heart, history is littered with naysayers like you. |
Abuja is an example of what Nigerians can do, when they put their heart into it. Sadly some slum born and raised slum-dwellers think that that slums is the true Nigerian reality. |
