How would you rebaseline from 2024 September to January 2025 and you come to announce that as your headline inflation. Did inflation in Nigeria stary from September 2024??

They claimed there was a need for rebaselining because 2009 baseline was too distant. For comparatives, US inflation rate is still using 1982/84 base period. Canada is still using 2002, those are 2 massive economies with high sensitivity to cyclical disruptions. How come your own is then too far behind when your economy is reactive to cycles in those other economies? Lol
