Anyone supporting UN/US/UK/French intervention in Libya would gladly embrace the same scenario if it were their own country. I wonder why people see righteousness in the acts of the West and fail to think for themselves.

I wonder if some people like you actually understand what is going on. You probably didn't realize that the so called rebels were peaceful protesters that were being unnecessarily gunned down by Qaddafi's gun totting thugs, and as it is in all human natures, the instinct to survive and fight back kicked in and we are here we are today, Qaddafi is the terrorist and the so called rebels are the real Libyans, the opposition is made up of intellectuals and well respected members of the Libyan society compared to this lunatic and egomaniac Colonel and his sons.

Survivalists carry guns to fight the government when diplomacy is on the table. I agree Ghadaffi's forces were wrong to gun down the protesters. But this is not the only country where dat happened. Have u heard of what happened in Bahrain, where 2000 troops from Saudi arabia were imported to deal with protesters with many dead till date. U think if Bahrainians carry guns against their king and do the same that happened in East Libya, they won't be suppressed by killings? But there are better ways of solving situations rather than going on with violence and renouncing ur country's government. Diplomacy is on the table, that's what im advocating for. Violence never yields good.

On the opposition, please remember Libya is a Nation of about 7 million people. The population of the East where the revolt is going on are less than 2 million. So you wanna tell me those who are not fighting Ghadaffi are dumb?

The UN is only going to make the situation worse. Ghadaffi's trying to put his nation under control. He is not killing civillians, he is killing the rebels. If u take up a gun and fight against any government, u're like commiting suicide. If he was massacring his people how come it's less than 2000 dead so far. Now the UN supported by the world's superpowers now invovle themselves in this conflict that could worsen the civil war that is almost over.

I am not a Ghadaffi supporter, but I have a conscience to differentiate good from evil. If Ghadaffi was a madman, the west termed him to be why did he abandon a $500 million nuclear project for peace in Libya. He's got his problems but his country is far better than 75% of all African countries. Would a mad mothafucka achieve this.


The UN's act is killing civillians and is therefore no better. I hope Saif, Ghadaffi's first son, convinces his father to give in. These counties are far more powerful than Libya

Supporting UN is being dumb and accepting whatever the world powers say and letting them give you a conscience. Diplomacy MUST be engaged to ease this issue.

The missiles were fired at strategic military targets in order to enforce a no-fly zone. Gadaffi is busy slaughtering people with his jets and heavy ammo and you want everyone to keep looking at him. Watch any international news station for 1 hour before you make more comments.

You sound like someone who'd defend westerners even if they bombed your hometown, due to inferiority complex.

There's a civil war in Libya and civil war has casualties. He's not slaughtering his people. If you take arms against the government anywhere there is bound to be consequences. Why dont you arm people in ur village with guns and say u're fighting against the FG, u guys would be massacred in no-time. That's why there's diplomacy that the rebels should have embraced.

Gadaffi's side: Kill civilians and remain in power for life.
UN side: There can be no justification for killing civilians indiscriminately and civilians must be protected.
