I see your point. Maybe travel with what you are comfortable carrying - enough to meet your cash needs for the first few weeks while you find your feet. Like someone earlier advised, there are a few people on this thread that could help you when the time comes - Lexusgs430 (Baba Jack of all trades grin grin), mamatukwas (GBP to NGN only), and omopapa (same as Lexus), to mention a few.

Thank you

Convert your naira to pounds. Keep in a dom account. Bring along to the UK a reasonable amount that you can survive with for a few months. You can always transfer from your dom account to UK once you have an account in the UK.

Will do just that. Thanks a lot

I’m assuming you are still in Nigeria. If so, why not convert your Naira to Pounds before leaving Nigeria? That way, you will have one less thing to worry about when you get to the UK.

Yes I will
Be travelling in a few month. I’m asking because I learnt there’s a limit of 10000 USD/7500£ On international travels . I don’t know if it’s safe to travel with that amount of cash in hand.

Your experienced input is required. Thanks in anticipation for your response.

I have a Bsc in Biochemistry 3.68/5-2014
Masters in Env Mgt (course based) 4.51/5 -2019
Worked as an administrative asst/customer service 4rm 2017-2020
Currently working as a production chemist (grad trainee) since feb 2021

No publications only final year research

I plan on trying study route gal 2022 these are my considerations.

1. Thesis based MSc in Env chemistry/bio assessment and monitoring claiming research/thesis is my reason for a repeated masters as It will enable me to proceed for PhD
2. PhD but with no In-depth research experience, no publications and a course based Masters etc feel my chances are slim

3.Pgd/pgc in chemistry technician claiming career progression and knowledge gap since I currently work in the laboratory as a chemist.

Please advice on the most effective path that will secure me Visa.

Hi all.
I am a first time mum and about 9weeks 5days pregnant. I don’t know if this is normal but I am very sick. Stomach cramps vomiting and strong nausea. I am also very weak.

I spotted for about 3days and the Gynecologist prescribed progesterone tablets. I dunno but I feel it makes me feel worse

Is this how it feels or there’s something wrong with me. Ps I am the first child and the first pregnant person amongst my friends so I don’t really have anybody to ask.

Thanks for your response

Mamaroon:

If you resign before AOR, your personal history would clearly state the end date of the job you got ref letter for as well as the start date of your new job. This clearly shows the issuer of the ref letter as a former employer. I don't see the need to add a resignation letter. Your choice though.

The tense used in the ref letter doesn't seem like a problem to me....you WERE their employee WHEN it was written.

Hi all,
I received ITA on the 16th of September and got my reference letter on September 20th also
I am yet to submit my application as I'm still gathering document which I know will be ready in a new week

I recently got a job offer in a new firm which means I will resign before I submit my profile.

My reference letter addresses me as a current employee but I won't be anymore at the point of submission.

They HR insist I won't be getting another reference letter because it was a huge struggle before I got the initial one in IRCC format.

I will be provided with letter of resignation once I resign.

Should I add it to my documents when submitting or submit then notify them shortly that I no longer work there with the resignation confirmation from my company.?

Guys is it an issue if my father gives me totality of my POF. My father will be transferring ALL of it and will be writing a gift deed. Would it raise an eyebrow with IRCC?

No, you don't have to pay for verification. Just send an email to unilag records and include your Wes reference number, matric number and the date Wes sent your verification. Having a contact in records office might also help. My report was ready 3 days after verification.

Good day house,
For those of you that evaluated your certificate from UNILAG, did you pay for verification? I am seeing verification fee on the records website but I don't know if it applies to the WES verification process.

Good day house.
Please I need second opinions. This is a sample of my reference letter from my company.
Does it satisfy the NOC code for administrative assistant -1241

help make adjustments where necessary.

My company also refuses to address it to whom it may concern. They insist for an address so I provided that.

If this is your current employment, I would advise you wait till you get ITA or about to get ITA (when you have enough scores). If it is a past employment, please get it now and keep

Good day house.
Please I have a few questions.
1. Does the date of issue on reference letter matter. I want to start requesting for it cos of the so many process involved. Should I get it before I clinch ITA, would it pose a challenge?

2. My employer also insist for an address, they refuse to use TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN alone, does this invalidate it. Every other thing aligns with CIC format.

Stencil:
Scores are locked Post AOR.
If you get married after you submit your application, your scores are not affected.
There are several posts on this topic including tweets from IRCC confirming this.
The only downside for those applying from Nigeria is that your application might move to Accra visa office, and they're notorious for unnecessary delays.

Wow, I didn't know of this method. I was looking to apply then sponsor my spouse (soon to be married) when I get PR, mainly because I'm below 30, I have a masters and I had lots of time on my hands to study for IELTS.
We both agreed to this method and he is the one financing the whole process since he tried ielts and his results wasn't too good.

I decided to read up online following this information you posted and saw you can include your spouse after AOR and it wouldn't affect your score. Does that mean I have to wait till after the AOR before we get married to avoid any discrepancy? Please enlighten me on the appropriate path to follow.

My simulated score with my ielts is 478 adding him with his band score of 6 in ielts is really dropping the score and oga has given up on ielts.

Thanks in anticipation for your knowledgeable response guys.

What are the challenges ACCRA poses as regards to this method?

quote author=Stencil post=91506792]Apply as single, lock your scores
Get married, add your spouse
Scores remain the same since you got married after ITA.
Final and most important step: Pray against Accra, or get involved in something (school, new business venture etc) that even if you land in Accra, it won't affect you that much.

1. No. (Or not to be to assertive, I don't think so). What's most important is the ECA report number. It's on the pdf report and that's what you need when creating your EE profile

2. Yes, always.

Please guys help me out with this. I'm confused

Hello guys, I am currently applying for WES and I see that there is a suspension on international delivery for recipient(me). It cannot be mailed to me via courier that can be tracked currently but I can select the option of standard mail via Canada post (no tracking)for $10.

My questions are

1.Is there a difference between the hard copy and online pdf version?

2. If hard copy is important ? can I apply for it later since there's no option for delivery
