YOU ARE IMPORTANT

“And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.” (2 Kings 5: 2)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, the Syrian forces went to war and captured a little maid who became a maid to Naaman’s wife. An entire army came together to capture a harmless little girl. One or two soldiers should have been enough to capture a small girl, but for the Hebrew maid, an entire army came against her. She was harmless but faced a huge opposition.

The Hebrew maid later became the channel through which Naaman got information about Elisha. She was a small girl, but she had strategic information. She looked ordinary, she was small, but she carried divine deposits and divine information that would later transform Naaman’s life.

Friend, the magnitude of the opposition against you is indicative of divine deposits in you. When the enemy comes against you despite your uprightness, just maybe you are a threat to him; there is something about you that scares the enemy.

When your colleagues, neighbours, haters, mockers, etc always conspire against you or tell wicked gossip about you despite your innocence, cheer up, there is something big in you that unsettles them and attracts the opposition.

You may look small but you are loaded with treasures; you may seem deprived and disadvantaged, but you are the next big thing that God is about to manifest. You may be the target for the conspiracy of haters, but it's all a sign of your importance.

Celebrate the battles, conspiracies, gossips, opposition, etc that have come against you despite your uprightness. If the enemy fights you, it because you are highly important.

Prayer : Lord, I declare that every opposition against me is a sign of my importance, in Jesus’ name!Amen

BREAK THAT LIMIT

“Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable... ance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.”

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Naaman’s life presents an irony of some sorts: he was a great man but was also a leper. He had areas of strength, but also had a weakness that had the capacity to ground him. He had a major advantage, but he also had a disappointing disadvantage.

Naaman may have chosen to sit back and be a miserable leper, but he chose to be an outstanding warrior. Instead of accepting his fate and live with what life threw at him, he made a higher, tougher choice to stay on the grind despite his misfortune. He broke the limits of his condition.

Friend, life may have thrown limits around you, but God says, break out of the limits. Break out of your disadvantages; break out of the boundaries of your weaknesses, limits and setbacks; don’t live your life according to what happened to you; don’t allow what happened to you to limit your march to greatness.

God says, don’t allow poverty to stop you from dreaming big and thinking big; don’t allow rejection to stop you from trying again; don’t allow unemployment to stop you from taking vital steps that will be ultimately rewarding; don’t allow your background to confine you in obscurity. Step out of your limits and do what you have to do.

Naaman remained a warrior despite his leprosy, and with time, he captured a Hebrew maid that connected him to Elisha. What he got by breaking his limit empowered him to move completely out of his limit.

If you keep building on your strength, your weakness will go into hiding. If you stay on the grind despite your disadvantages, soon, the yoke will be taken off your neck.

Prayer : Lord, give me grace to break out of the limits of my challenges, in Jesus’ name!Amen

YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture presents two sides of Naaman's life. Naaman was a successful warrior, and was important to his master; he was a mighty man of valour; he was famous and did exploit. There was so much in Naaman’s life that any man of his generation would have desired, but he was also a leper.

No man willfully chooses to become a leper. Leprosy is a health challenge. Leprosy was a setback that happened to Naaman. It was his chapter of pain. Despite Naaman's leprosy, he became great. Despite his setback, he attained greatness. What happened to Naaman did not stop his manifestation.

Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: whatever happened to you will not stop your march to greatness. The disappointments, setbacks, rejections, pain, misfortunes, ill luck, etc that may have come your way will not stop God from making you who He wants you to be. The enemy may have planted roadblocks on your way to stop you, but God says, no destiny roadblock will stop you. You will rise above whatever happened to you.

God is bigger than every setback that has come your way. God’s plan for your life is bigger than the misfortunes that may have come to you. If Jehovah is involved, your setbacks may still be there and you will attain greatness, and whatever happened to you will be a lone, isolated chapter in the success story that God will make out of you.

Instead of focusing on what happened to you, focus on God; God is able to make you who He wants you to be. Hold on to God, and you will rise above what happened to you.

Prayer : Lord, whatever happened to me will not stop me, in Jesus’ name!Amen

SERVE GOD'S PURPOSE

“Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria...”

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Naaman was a great and honourable man, he was a noble soldier, he made progress from being a mere recruit to being a captain in the army. Naamam was relevant in his generation; he achieved fame as a soldier; he rose to the limelight.

Naaman’s greatness came because the Lord used him to give deliverance to Syria. He became great because God used him; he was great because he served God's purpose; Naaman fulfilled a divine purpose/assignment, and greatness came to him.

Friend, your greatness is tied to the fulfillment of God's purpose and assignment on your life. Greatness will come your way naturally when you learn to do God’s will and fulfill God’s plan and purpose for your life. Greatness will not come only by your abilities, but it will come when your abilities serve heaven’s purpose on earth. Greatness is when heaven finds profit through you.

When you discover and fulfill God’s purpose for your life, you are on the highway that will eventually lead you to honour and fame. When you fulfill God's expectations from you, greatness is inevitable. Your greatness is tied to an divine assignment that God wants you to fulfill. Aligning yourself with God’s plan is the only way to be more than you are.

Naaman’s master may not have planned to make him honourable, but what God did through Naaman made him honourable. Your honour and fame does not lie in the hands of men; it lies in God’s hands. Seek God, seek to fulfill His plan and assignment for your life, and you will naturally attain greatness.

22nd OCTOBER 2015 “ OH GOD REMEMBER ME ” - Part 4


Memory verse: Nehemiah 13 v 14 - Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.

When God remembers a man, there is always a visitation from God and whenever God visits, there is always a testimony.

It doesn’t matter how long the situation might be, a day of visitation from God can settle every long lived problem in a man’s life.

The man at the Pool of Bethesda was there for 38years without solution but when God remembered him, Jesus showed up at the pool and his story changed for good.

For years, Hannah had been going to Shiloh without visitation but after her prayer of vow in I Sam 1 V 11- And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head. God remembered her and her story changed from a barren woman to a fruitful woman.

God is still in the business of remembering his children, God remembered Abraham, he remembered Sarah, He remembered Jabez, he remembered Joseph, he will remember you today, no matter what the enemies had said about your destiny.

What matters is not the matter on ground, but what the God of Elijah says about the matter and the one that the matter concerns.

If God decides to remember any man, whatever any other person is saying, becomes noise making.

This month of October will not pass you, you will be remembered by the God of Elijah and a his visitation will bring forth an uncommon testimony in your life, in Jesus name.

Scriptural case study: 1. - John 5 V 1- 9- The story of the man at the pool of Bethseda

THINGS TO NOTE FROM THE STORY OF THE MAN AT THE POOL OF BETHESDA
1. He was at his place of visitation- 1John 5 v 2- Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
2. His hope on man failed him-1John 5 v 7-The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me
3. He never gave up- 1 John 5 V 5 -And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
4. God remembered him and sent Jesus to help him- 1 John 5 V 6- When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
5. He testified about the good works of Jesus - John 5 V- 11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

GO FOR CHANGE

Naaman’s leprosy didn't disappear by wishful thinking; Naaman was healed when he took a shot at his healing; his story changed when he met Prophet Elisha. Naaman was a Syrian; Elisha was based in Israel. Naaman crossed the borders of his nation and went to another nation in search of healing; he moved towards his desire.

Friend, it’s not enough to have positive desires; God says, walk and work towards the desires of your heart. Things may not change on their own; play your part to make things change. Miracles may not happen on their own; lay a foundation with prayers, confession of God’s word, seed sowing, consecration, dedication, etc before the miracles come. Aim at your target, and move towards it.

Work towards the change and improvements you want to see in your home, marriage, relationships, career, business, character, etc; take strategic steps that will make your dreams a reality; step out of the comfort zone of wishful thinking and move to places that hold the resources you need. Whatever you need to become, work towards it and take your best shot at it.

Namman’s efforts were not fruitless; he played his part by seeking out Elisha, Elisha played his part by giving a prophecy, while Naaman completed the cycle by obeying Elisha. The result was an amazing miracle. Complete the cycle that will bring your next results.

Arise, step out in faith, run towards your goal, aim and move towards your target, contribute any success ingredient that is yours to contribute, and if Jehovah is involved, He will play His part to bring your success and results.

Prayer : Lord, I choose to play my part to make my results a reality, in Jesus’ name!

POSITIVE KNOWLEDGE

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Naaman was not an Israelite; he belonged to an ungodly nation that had a history of troubling Israel. He neither shared a relationship with Prophet Elisha, nor had a habit of consulting the Prophet on any matter.

Eventually, Naaman met Elisha when he got new information and knowledge from the Hebrew maid. New knowledge pushed Naaman to Elisha and he got healed. Naaman was fed with new knowledge, and he soon began to conform to the knowledge he got. The knowledge he got pushed him into a certain level of conformity.

Friend, be careful about the knowledge you feed yourself with. There is a tendency for you to become more of whatever knowledge you feed yourself with. If you feed yourself with positive knowledge, you will become more positive; if you feed yourself with negative knowledge, you will become more negative in all your ways.

If you feed more and more on God’s word, you will become more and more like God; if you feed yourself with knowledge that sets the stage for sin, be careful, you may be trapped in the cycle of sin. If you feed your mind with gossip, lustful and hateful thoughts, pornography, etc, don’t be surprised when you eventually manifest what you fed yourself with.

Instead of gaining negative knowledge, go for positive knowledge. Go for knowledge that will make you better without making you worse; go for knowledge that will edify you; go for knowledge that will cause your path to shine brighter and brighter. Go for positive knowledge.

Job 28 vs. 28 says: “...Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”

Prayer : Lord, give me wisdom to seek positive knowledge, in Jesus’ name!Amen

GO FOR KNOWLEDGE

Before Naaman was healed of his leprosy, the Hebrew maid in his home advised him to visit Elisha. The Hebrew maid gave him insight into the possibility of healing; she told him who to meet to get healed. Naaman’s recovery began with the knowledge he got from the Hebrew maid.

Friend, what is your level of knowledge? What do you know about God? What do you know about your career/business/ministry? What information and knowledge do you have about your operating environment? What knowledge have you acquired to help you advance to the next level? What knowledge are you feeding yourself with?

God says, grow your knowledge base. Strive to learn new things; learn new ways of doing things in your career/business; learn new ways of getting the right results without doing anything wrong; learn new, efficient ways of getting your work done; learn new things in other people’s fields; gain new knowledge about the things you want to achieve for yourself in life. By all means possible, never let a day pass without learning something new.

Knowledge linked Naaman to his healing and pushed him to the next level. The difference between where you are now and where you will eventually arrive at, is knowledge. If you know nothing, you will be nothing. If you hate knowledge, you might as well be content with your ‘leprosy’.

In Psalm 119 vs. 66, the psalmist prays thus: “Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments”. Ask God for grace to increase in knowledge; ask God to show you the new knowledge that will increase and prosper you.

Prayer : Lord, open my eyes to strategic knowledge that will improve and increase me, in Jesus’ name!Amen

AWAY FROM DEFORMITY

(2 Kings 5: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Naaman was a mighty man in his days; he was important to his master; he was captain of the Syrian army. Naaman made remarkable progress in his career as a soldier, he had risen up the hierarchy in the military, but there was one blemish on his awesome credentials: he was a leper.

In Old Testament times, leprosy was synonymous with uncleanness. Naaman made progress but lived with uncleanness; he was a shining star, but there was a deformity and uncleanness in him that took the shine off his spectacular successes. He was mighty, but yet deformed.

Friend, God’s plan is not for your successes to exist side by side with deformity and uncleanness. God may have allowed you to become a success in your field of endeavour, but He won’t be impressed if you lead a life of sin and immorality.

Your business, career, finances, etc may have become shining examples of success, but it is no excuse for sinful ways and wrong attitudes in you. The progress you have achieved is no licence to live in deformity and uncleanness.

Naaman may have been successful despite leprosy, but the leprosy in him was a dent. Any imperfection in you is a subtraction from the success God has given you. If Naaman had remained a leper, his leprosy would have taken a toll on him, and he may not have remained a successful soldier.

Your successes and steady rise to fame and prominence is not an endorsement of your deformity. Never mistake your consistent advancement in life as an endorsement of your bad habit. Ask God to remove every uncleanness and deformity in you.

Prayer: Lord, I discard every uncleanness and deformity in me; my success will not exist with sin, in Jesus’ name!Amen

There were so many testimonies in tabernacle yesterday as the God of Elijah was attending to people one after the other ...
After the service the servant of God instructed some people to do Rpp ,while some feet washing /prayer walk,after that every one line up in a single file for God to attend to them..
Water was bless and put in every ones hand and the servant of God prayed to God to start attending to his children one after the other ...

A lady that God has delivered before in cct from spirit husband ,started shouting as the demon is back again and he was saying I told u I will come back again ,that I won't let her go because she is mine...
The servant of God ask the demon the door that was open that made him to come back ,he said because she don't pray ,she don't go to church so why won't he return to the body ...
He also said she was suppose to go some were next week but no money to go there ,that her traveling papers r ready ,visa is ready but no passport ..
That she will marry a very rich man but she won't give birth ,that dey should ask her if she is not dating big big guys but no one will help her instead they will just dump her ...that she will be struggling but no result ,that the parents don't have money to eat or pay their children school fees...and so many things ,after he has said so many things the servant of God told the most high God to let his will be done and let the daughter of Abraham receive grace ...
So she can go and do feet washing again to separate herself from any powers holding her down..

Another lady case file was also open ,as the demon inside her was a white demon from a very big sea in a foreign land,that she has been given to him before she was born ..he also said she belong to him that no one can take her from him..
He also said that he is a king and that she is his queen ,she is the umbrella of the house but he has destroy the umbrella so that she won't help any one in the family.
That she was not suppose to be in this country now maybe in uk or usa ,that she won't marry or have any relationship ,that if she do he will kill the guy .
He also said she don't have a mother on this earth ,so the servant of God ask him who is the woman that both of them came together ,the demon said he don't know her because he has put the spirit of hatred between the two of them and that he want to wipe out the whole family very soon ,so he can take his bride back...
After evrything the servant of God ask his father to allow his will be done and let the daughter of Abraham receive grace ,to do feet washing also...

Another lady that her case file was open last week and the demon was caged ,it was the father that came yesterday that the servant of God should release his son ,and that the lady glory is too big and shining so he won't allow her to go ,because she has been dedicated to them in her grand father house...
That she is their daughter ,that he will kill her very soon ...
So the servant of God ask him about her job, and key to her car ..he answered that all her property has been buried in the grand mother grave ,that he won't return anyone..
Later he kept quite and refuse to talk ,that except the creator of the whole universe comes before he will say anything again,that was how the servant of God went on his knees and start singing( I have no power of my own 2x, God of Elijah I look upon u help me I have no power of my own..
Come and see shouting in the tabernacle as all the demons were shouting don't sing again ,don't call that name again ,shut up shut up...
Then all the three demons started saying different things that dey all work together in the spirir realm ,one said he is from the land and air ,another said he is from the sea ..
And that all first daughters are for them and the thing that kept me wondering in evry thing dey were saying is that all this ladies don't know them self ,one is yoruba ,the other two r cousins and all of them are first daughters of their parents ...

Another guy God attended to again and every thing that was taken from him was fully restored back to him yesterday..
The demon responsible for his progress was summon to the tabernacle and he was saying he shd be left like that ,that he don't need to be rich ,but after the servant of God commanded the demon to return all that he has taken from him since he has done his deliverance...
The demon was trying to play planks in the tabernacle,that was how the spirit of angel enter into one of the workers that was commanding the demon to return back his glory ,his devine connection,keys to his breakthru ,his blessings was restore back to him ....

Another girl that her case file has been open since last week ,the demon said he won't return her glory .
That if her glory was restore she will become a medical doctor in the future and he don't want her to go to school ..the demon said she will spend many years in secondary school until she is 20yrs,that he want her to waste all her years ,by the grace of God once they all do renunciation on thursday the God of Elijah will do that which only him alone can do.....
Father than you Lord for all this revelations and testimonies ,to you alone be all the Glory....WHo DID THIS? Jesus

TRANSFORMATION PATHWAY

(2 Kings 5: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture tells the tale of Naaman, captain of the host of Syria. Naaman was great and honourable, he was important to his master, but he was afflicted by leprosy. Leprosy was not the form that God originally gave to man; it was a deformity; so Naaman lived with a deformity.

Naaman’s miracle began when he was referred to Elisha by the Hebrew maid. He got information that triggered his departure from deformity. Naaman washed in river Jordan, he conformed to Elisha's instruction, and was healed. The information he got and conformed to led to his transformation.

Friend, your life may appear stuck in deformities and anomalies that God did not plant in you, but you will be on your path to recovery and transformation if you conform to the right information. The bridge between your deformity and transformation lies in the information you are yet to act on. Your story may have begun on a note of deformity, but if you find and conform to the right information like Naaman, there will be transformation.

For every deformity in your character, and every stagnation in your career and business, find scriptural principles that can facilitate your transformation and conform to it. For everything in your life that you don’t want to see anymore, find new information that can move you out of it.

Naaman’s transformation came by the finger of God, but he was first informed, and he conformed to the information he got before he experienced transformation. Walk the transformation pathway; if it worked for Naaman, it will work for you.

Prayer : Lord, help me to discover and conform to information that will transform me, in Jesus’ name!Amen

Gen 19 V 29 - And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
PEOPLE GOD NEEDS TO REMEMBER
1. Those who obey God instead of man - Acts 5 V 29 - Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

2. Those who have chosen to worship God in spirit and in truth – John 4 V 23 - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

3. Those who are ready to walk before the Almighty God – Gen 17 V 1- And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

4. Those who are testifiers and also give glory to God, all the time - Luke chapter 17 V 13-19, 2 Kings 5 V 1-15 –

YOU'RE COMING BACK

“...and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.”
(Ezekiel 37: 10)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the hand of the Lord brought Ezekiel to the valley, it was full of bones; but eventually, the dry bones came back to life. When a human body is reduced to bones, there is no hope; the case is beyond redemption. No human discussion can bring a dry bone back to life, but in our Focal Scripture, the dry bones came back to life. They were finished, but God brought them back to life.

Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: you’re coming back. You are coming out of the graves men pushed you into; you are coming out of every health challenge that has reduced you; you are coming out of every hopeless situation that has caused men to mock you.

You are coming out of every destiny sabotage that happened to you; you are coming out of every challenge that has reduced you to nothing; you are coming out of every setback that has pushed you down.

The dry bones may have been forgotten, their case may have been closed, but God brought them back. It doesn’t matter if men have forgotten you. Your case may have been closed, but God says, you are coming back. Men may have written you off, but you are coming back.

Those who murdered the men in the valley of dry bones may have done their worst; but at God's time, He raised the men back to life. Relax, God is on the way; He will raise you in places where you were buried.

Even if people have done their worst, you will bounce back; God will bring the miracles of restoration with compensation.

Micah 7 vs. 8 says: “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.”

Prayer : Lord, raise me from places where I was buried; I’m coming back, in Jesus’ name!Amen
