I started pushing around 3:30am Bt baby no gree come out o. I became so tired Bt all the midwives were very encouraging with hubby, told me I was doing well. Eventually, I gave the last push and baby was out at 5:37am.My baby was put on my chest Bt I was not seeing her at all, I was just crying cos of that pain wey Don enter my brain and out of this world. I eventually opened my eyes and could see my baby, pain all gone.
I bless God for the whole journey cos it was all a success .
This is my first baby, na only me and hubby dey here.... We will be doing omugwo for ourselves

Thank God for a successful delivery, congrats once again mama. Baby girl is blessed oh to have both mommy and daddy doing omugwo

I had a smooth pregnancy journey, did not fall sick for a second, no vomiting nothing at all but a big stomach.

As soon as they opened my legs they saw the bulge. So they burst my water and I was told to push with the next contraction that was how he peacefully came out.
They named my baby sharp sharp in the hospital.

Sharp sharp, I pull cloth, was given hospital gown, wore my socks, they ran the IV, filled all the necessary forms & was wheeled to my room - induction don start, no food, only ice. Na so different Drs & nurses were coming in, then came the insertion of balloons - my jajaina hear word that day. I could only get to 2cm with the balloons after almost 24hrs, they were removed & then they inserted cytotec after almost another 24hrs again took me to 4cm, then they opted for pitocyn (drip) na so I begged for epidural which was administered & I stopped feeling any pain all these while I had machines attached to me/my body reading heart rates of me & baby, I didn't exceed 4cm, after some few minutes, I was given a mask to wear for oxygen supply to my Angel, I think after about an hr or two, different Drs surrounded my bed, my BP almost blow their monitoring system o, then the leading Dr said, we would have to take u in for a c-section as each time we apply the pitocyn, the baby's heart drops, do you have any objection? See this dr o, I'm ready o!!!! Are u against blood transfusion blablabla, if the case becomes severe, your uterus might be removed blablabla sermon............ Dr, let's go o!!! I was prepared immediately in less than 15 mins for the Surgery, off I was wheeled into the theater. Within 3mins I heard her cry, tho it would stop intermittently, I wasn't even able to see, touch or hold her as she was taken away immediately to the NICU. They did all the repair work & I was wheeled to the recovery room, it was at the recovery room I was able to ask a nurse, who told me she was in the Nursery cos of her weight but I should be rest assured that she's doing fine. After about 4hours & I was stable, I was wheeled again to my room, where I was for 3days (Sunday-Wednesday) & was discharged with my lil munchkin, but not after been scrutinized by many tests & screening (had CT & EKG done to ascertain my BP), had blood transfusion (2units). It's day 12 already after child birth & my tummy still hurts, Gyn says it's the #enemy# fibroids as my abdomen feels tender & my belly button hurts like it wants to tear open, but in all, God's been faithful, yellow pepper is doing just fine & Dad is happy back home in 9ja.

Thank God it ended in praise, congrats once again ma'm . God bless the baby and quick recovery to you dear.

Currently on admission. Had a bike accident yesterday. I was thrown up and landing I hit my bum bone on a thick iron at the back of the bike. The pain is something else, I also noticed reduction in fetal movement
I reported at the clinic this morning and they put me on bed immediately that I need to be observed

Plz who has used dexamethasone injection?
I was told it's to speed up baby's lungs maturation in case of emergency.my baby is 30weeks old

So sorry dear mama for the accident, thank God it's not worse than this. God will keep you and the baby well and it shall end in praise.

To the glory of God & shame of the devil, I welcomed my real oyibo princess on 7/8/18 via EMCS, with baby weighing 2.5kg. BS in a bit!! Tho I'm still recuperating from the wound, fibroids pain & belly button pain. Sorry for the late alert!!!

DH then came to tell me what he doctor said but I immediately took him to go back and tell him that I was not going to wait for even 10 minutes as I was ready for the surgery ASAP. The doctor came into the ward and I told him that I wanted to discontinue the drip and go for the operation immediately, he didn’t argue with me and did as I said then called my husband to come and sign the consent form, I forgot to mention that the doctor has broken my water since 5pm. I walked into the theater and said to my husband and mom that I would see them in a jiffy. I was given an injection in my spine to numb from my waist downwards. Not up to 15 minutes into the surgery my Son was brought out with his eyes wide opened and him screaming at the top of his lungs. He was taken to be cleaned and weighed. DH and my mom were screaming and taking God , I could hear their voices from the theater. I was stitched back and taken to the ward. I got there and still saw my LO eyes still wide open wondering where he was.


I bless the name of the lord for a wonderful journey and I pray that God Almighty grant other waddling mamas a safe delivery and make our children be great people in the society. Thank you very much mamas for a wonderful journey, we are porting to the new born thread.

1. I'm having cramps.... Is it part of the show?

2. I have infection and couldn't treat it properly cos i was already Preggy. Attached is my test result. I've been praying to God cos i was given amoxicillin, folic acid and flagyl. I stopped using it but my doctor said I should continue using the medications today cos they are mild antibiotics. Please, is it safe to continue using those antibiotics. Does any mama here have same experience?

3. No MS for now except tiredness and cramps. I pick food too. What fruit juice and fruits can I take at this early stage?

4.whats the best sleeping position for early pregnancy?

5. When is the best time to register for ante natal?

1.Yes mild on and off cramps are part of the early preg package.
2. I'm not sure of treating infection while preggy, sabi mamas will chook mouth when they come online.
3.take cucumber, oranges, watermelon, moderation is the watchword! me I took lemon and water cause of nausea and spitting (still taking lemon because of spitting) no pineapple if you are amongst the set that it purges normally, no zobo, no unripe papaya because i learnt they cause uterine contractions. For more on fruits sabi mamas will help you out.
4.sleep anyhow you want until you become uncomfortable but for 2nd trimester, you sleep on your sides, preferably your left. You can start practicing now so you get used to it.
5. If you are high risk, pls do register early if not wait till your 13th week to register.

Good day to all the mothers in the house,God will remember us very soon in Jesus name, pls mamas I did HSG this month, after it the doctor said everything is OK, but he gave me doxycline, flagy, vit C, and Parafen. to take, I couldn't finish the drugs bks it make me to vomit and feeling sick,I took it for 5days then I stop, he said I should BD in the same month, at the middle of my cycle I started feeling breast pains till this days ,my period will due on 23 of this month.
my question now are, while on antibiotics is it advisable to baby dance and while I mine having sorebreast for so long ,going to two weeks hoping it will stop when Aunty flo show?

Ok pregnancy can cause tender nipps and sore breast pms causes sore breast and tender nipps too but stops after af.

Yes just wait till Saturday if AF didn't show then do a blood test b4 inducing AF, but sha me I'm praying that AF will not visit, let it be positive.
Scan may not detect anything now since its too early.

Hello mamas, hope we’re all fine? I finally checked baby’s sex today and it showed. It was so touching, the sonographer showed me in 4d and I was able to see baby well, she couldn’t stay one place, kept moving her body and opening mouth like she’s laughing abi crying, the sonographer said she’s laughing that maybe she knows I’m looking at her(LOL ) I almost cried I really can’t wait to hold my princess, November mamas how are we doing, we’re gradually moving to the permanent site.

Awww such joy, see me feeling like I was the one that saw my baby The last time I checked the baby refused to open up and I couldn't find out the sex, I decided to forget it but this your story is tempting, like I should go back again and do 3d or 4d to be clear. So happy for you teamie.

My princess made her grand entrance yesterday on her due date via a successful VBAC after 3 and half hours of labour with tear. Baby’s weight was 3.4kg & it was indeed a sharp sharp delivery. Father and son rejoicing. God be praised. Birth story later.

Hi, I'm a first timer and I'm new here, EDD November, I have been reading from page to page and I've learnt a lot, I have a question for the house, is it true that taking citrus fruits like pineapples and oranges is not good during pregnancy?

Welcome on board teamie, pineapple just like mama WhyworryPh explained should be avoided me I avoid it like plague because it makes me do number 2 very well b4 I got pregnant as in purge me so I'm scared of going close.
As for oranges, I take sour ones very well o because I love sour things now and it reduces constipation, it doesn't purge me like pineapple, I just go normally and I haven't experienced any problem at all but you can limit it to once a day as WhyworryPh advised, body differs.
