I went to scan yesterday and i was told the weight of the baby is 2.2kg at 35 weeks, please what can i do to increase the weight? What food should i be eating?

Please treat as urgent, dont ignore.

Mama your baby's weight is ok, at 35 weeks the weight shld be between 2.2-2.4kg, so relax but you can still up your protein intake if you want, Have a lot of proteins like eggs, chicken, beans etc it helps with the growth of the baby and always sleep on your left side so that the baby receives maximum nutrients from the placenta. Have at least 3 litres of water everyday.

I went to hospital after work and they did scan n d senographer said the baby is no more and we have to evacuate. I am so not myself and I don't know what to do. My elder Sis said I should go for second opinion. Pls mamas pray for me let my joy not be cut short. Ya Allah

No not here, no bad news and not after waiting for 8 years? God cannot lie, no loss! There shall be none barren nor cast their young, I speak life into your baby, mercy mercy mercy Lord......
Just have faith and go somewhere reputable for another scan mama, your joy shall not be cut short in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Congrats to all the mamas that have put to bed. Good news everywhere!! Pls mamas,am yet to go to d hospital cos of some certain circumstances.

I woke up with a little cramp and when i went to pee i noticed very light pinkish discharge. When i was having my bath,i wiped again and it was a clear reddish discharge with mucus. I dont know if i should be very worried. Am going for scan soon.

This happened to me at week 18, I woke up with severe cramps and brown blood when i peed and wiped which dried up almost immediately but I really stressed myself the previous day, we hosted some fam and friends and I was busy bending and serving without drinking enough water and ate very late.
We rushed to the hosp to see my obgyn then but everything was fine and baby is doing great now to the glory of God.
Pls try and see your doc now and get a scan done to check the baby, he/she may use doppler to check baby's heartbeat to put your mind at ease, you don't need stress y'know, they should also check your cervix to make sure it's still closed.

Make sure you drink a lot of water, rest, eat well and take your prenatals, I'm quite sure baby is fine don't worry too much because God has got you both in the hollow of His hands.

My prince charming was born on 23rd of Sept at 9:25am.
Baby weighed 4.2, I had massive tears but it's all worth it that it ended in praise. BS coming soon after I get a bit of relief.

OK o. so one over sabi sonographer told me some weeks ago babies gender as xy even though I didn't want to know before I told him to hold it he already spilled. so this week I was curious and asked the gender to be during scanning another told be xx. lol I don't know who to believe. edd 13/10/18.

OMO it was Afang soup i ate and i started purging non stop for 2days and i really panicked.. i had to do a scan to be sure all is well with my princess. Since den i just keep the soup for one side.

Ejor mamas , can I eat my afang soup? Please someone say something.

I heard from mamas when we were in calabar that Afang soup is not good for TTC because it makes womb hot to hold baby, that I better eat editan which cools the womb but I don't know about eating Afang when one is pregnant.
The best deal is to avoid it or eat a lil since body and pregnancy differs you know but me I switched to Editan since then and Atama, I haven't tasted Afang for 4 years now.

When it comes to treatment of malaria on pregnancy there is a lot of different schools of thoughts on the matter..
Depends on the Dr .....

This chloroquine people seem to swear by can actually cause abortion in some people esp in the early stages in addition to the fact that there is an increased resistance by malaria parasite in some places and the thing with allergy..... though some schools of thoughts swear by it during pregnancy....


Artemeter lumefantrine previously nor thought to be safe can now be used also......
Schools of thoughts change everyday....
When asking Google be mindful of the site u check and also check current guidelines cos even things done in the 90s are still left there...

When it comes to safety of drugs in pregnancy there are different categories category A to D n X ranging from safe to absolutely contra indicated.....
So I would give my patients....
Lonart wc is a type is the only antimalarial I take for treatment even when pregnant

True talk mama, i took amartem at week 5 didn't know I was preggy, my obgyn gave me artemether/lumefantrine at week 7 and I repeated at week 16 b4 i started fansidar and to the glory of God, baby is doing great.

I have always prayed to God for a very easy delivery and He did it.On Saturday 15th sept i started having cramps.so i didnt take it seriously becos it wasnt painful.its started by 9am.i was even watching my africa magic.so by 12pm i decided to call my bro dats a doctor.i told him i m having cramps but its not painful so he adviced me to go to my hospital for check up.i took my bath,applied my make up,cat work enter transport.lolz...as i got to d hospital doc checked me and said madam you are already 5cm gone.i was like u are not serious.how can it be.the doc said i should call my husband to go get my bag.so i called him to come to d hospital first dat i dont know what dis doc is saying .Hubby came to d hospital and doc repected d same thing.i followed hubby home to go carry my bag.we came bk to d hospital.i was just myself cos i wasnt feeling pains just the cramp.within 10mins i was feeling pressed.when ever d cramp comes i will feel like pooing so i called the doc that i m feeling pressed.she decided to check me again if i m up to 10cm.as i lay down to be checked,d force to poo came again.i was like doctor ooo i want to poooooo,i cant hold it again ooo.as d doc put his hand to check my cevix,he was aleady touching my baby's head.Chai,both the doc n d nurses started running around.d doc was like....were is the sccissors....bring the hand cloves....as all these were going on my baby's head was already coming out.just one push and the whole body was out .He was screeming down d hospital.it was like a movie to me.every things was so fast and painless.no single tear.Its can only be God.
Observation!!! When i was 36weeks i started inserting evening primrose capsule into my virgina.i also did it for my first pregnancy n it really helped to ripening the cervix n i dilated very fast too.
I pray for those still pregnant,yours will be easiler n faster.You will go in and come out safely in Jesus Name.Amen!

Part 2...
At home, I continued my pee ministry and asked hubs to keep massaging the inside of my thigh. I kid you not, I thought my vjay was going to fall out! It ached like mad, I promised myself I won't kpekus for 3 months if God delivered me from the pain. Hubs got tired and called MIL that "omo yin ti fe pa mi o, o ni idi n ro oun (your daughter wants to kill me o, she said her puna is aching). Momsie shout for him to take me to the hospital sharp sharp. On the way, my water broke in the car, Hubs still had mouth to be telling me that the car wee be smelling now. The evil eye I gave him sealed his lips till we got to the hospital.

Long story short, we got to the hospital around 4pm... I was checked and found to be 6cm gone. MIL met us there (bless her heart) and made me promise not to shout or cause trouble. She even promise me Hot Amala ontop (see longer throat). I started to form macho girl, I no make sound but the pillows get dent. One ogbanje nurse still coman chook hand inside person yansh, dey speak English.... I dey look am. Around 6:15, I started feeling the urge to push, they checked again and I was fully dilated. With just 3 pushes, my bobo slid out...he didn't even cry for long. He was just looking around. The matron said "alakowe lomo yin o, ko tie pariwo". I couldn't stop the tears, for God gave me laughter for my sorrow.

I gave him ZURIEL meaning "the strength of God"...God has indeed been my strength through all the trials. IDIOPEMIPO... because I have enough reasons to thank God.

4/4 The nurse said, since the only pain was in my rectum, I should push the next time I feel like pooing. So I kept pushing. After a while, she had to cut me to create more room. By 11.45, my beautiful baby boy came out screaming and was handed over to me...... To God be the glory. Ladies, please get ready for your babies from week 36, I can imagine what would have happened if I didn't pack my bags a night before the baby decided to show. That's​ my babe, do quick and pack yours too u hear. I also used two different bags during my first but didn't like the aftermath while going home, the load was just scatter scatter but now i got my size 2 box and put everything inside, baby's one side, mine the other side.

Oh really is it not the midwife o, always telling us at anc to pack baby's delivery bag separately and our own with extra gears for baby separately.
No be small load like one is travelling for hols, but they keep stressing it, even this last Tuesday I went for anc, the nurse kept hammering on it.
