Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has said that those who ruthlessly attempted to end his administration undemocratically, and to quickly boot him out of office within one week but have failed woefully.

The Governor said he had not only stayed in office more than one year and counting, his administration is forging on strongly with sterling leadership, focused on delivering social services and quality projects to Rivers people.

Some civilians, apparently the governor’s political supporters, also walked along with Mr Fubara as the police continued to fire teargas and water cannons towards the governor, who appeared undeterred.

The governor wore a brown ascot cap and a grey T-shirt.

The courts didn't stop the election, the courts has no power to stop elections they only asked the police and DSS not to provide security for the elections and INEC not to release the register which was as late because INEC had already done that before the judgement.
