President Bola Tinubu has explained why some of his administration’s policy decisions are painful and unpopular among Nigerians.
The president called for increased cooperation among government agencies, the private sector and international partners to boost economic growth, enhance competitiveness, and maintain stability in the country.
Mr Tinubu made the call while speaking at the 30th edition of the Nigerian Economic Summit on Monday.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, outlined his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to create an environment that fosters sustainable economic growth and shared prosperity.
Blizzy9ja: You guys are a joke!! Who takes the shameless justice Lifu seriously? A judge on vacation issues a fraudulent judgement via zoom, after the disgraced former acting national chairman was suspended for his shameful anti-party activity... That judgement is an exercise in futility.
In spite of the moves by leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to save the party from implosion, following the suspension war engaged in by members of the party’s National Working Committee, there appears to be no respite yet for the leading opposition party.
Feelers from across the state indicate that some influential members of the party are still hell-bent on removing Ambassador Umar Illiya Damagum as acting National Chairman.
The Nigeria national football team, the Super Eagles, have vowed to boycott Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Libya’s Mediterranean Knights, citing inhumane and despicable treatment by their hosts.
According to a statement by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the team’s delegation remained stranded at Al Abraq Airport for 12 hours after landing in Libya.
The chartered ValueJet aircraft was mischievously diverted from Benghazi to the smaller Al Abraq International Airport, typically used for hajj operations.
Where is the fake news here?. Thanks for the explanation though
Exousiang01: This is how you people spread fake news up and down. Nigerians are terrible people....
The RRs are definitely not his own...
When a pastor travels out for a program like that it is the host church that arranges for logistics from the air, it is also the. church that arranges the hotel.
Nigerians were early on Sunday morning raising a stir over the post on social media of London pastor Matthew Ashimolowo’s use of three Rolls Royce cars and a private jet in his trip to Abuja ending up at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton.
The trip was for a leadership conference organised by fellow pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA.
The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the 2023 election, Omoyele Sowore, has been barred by the Nigerian Immigration Service from leaving the country because his name is on their watchlist.
Sowore stated that he was being subjected to harassment and violation of his rights.
“The Nigerian Immigration Service #nigimmigration continues to subject me to unwarranted harassment and abuse. Violating my rights repeatedly.
“Today, again, they stopped me on my way out of Nigeria, claiming I am placed on their WATCHLIST!”
This video shows Sowore questioning an officer of the Immigration Service, requesting to see their superior.
Recall that in September Sowore was arrested at Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State.
Impeachment is out of the case. He can foil their attempt. If the supreme court upholds the decision of appeal court, the will frustrate his govt. Second tenure will be impossible.

A member of the House of Representatives, Ikenga Ugochinyere (PDP, Imo), has said the judgement of the Court of Appeal on the political crisis in Rivers State has not changed the situation in the state.
The lawmaker, who is an ally of Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, said this while reacting to the judgement.
He said the 25 members of the Assembly, loyal to former Governor Nyesom Wike, remained sacked because the Court of Appeal ruling was not on the main substance of the matter.
