Visa alert!

10 years visit visa granted to me, my kids and my cousin (she has been living with me for 9yrs)
I am a single mother btw.
Current visa is 2 years and will expire end of July 2023 but traveling for summer so had to apply early.

12th May : online application
15th May : Biometrics (paid for prime time and keep my passport option)
22nd May: call from UKVI to submit our passports at TLS. Submitted same day as my office is close and I’ve had the passports in my car since 15th.
23rd May: TLS email for passport collection. Quickly rushed there and picked them up.
10yrs visa granted for all of us.

I work for the government and salary is less than 150k after tax.
Submitted 6 months salary account statement with balance of less than 800k
Dollar account of about 6000usd but transaction of over 40k usd in 3 months.
Employment letter and staff ID card
Accommodation booking
That’s all for myself.

For my 3 kids
Birth certificates
Consent Letter from their father
2023/24 school fees receipt (I pay per annum not termly)
Result sheet from school showing their grades
Accommodation booking
Submitted same account statements for 3 of them.

For my 19yr old cousin
Added our family picture from 9yrs ago when she started living with me
Added our pictures from numerous family vacations in other countries.
Admission letter showing she resumes university in September this year.
Her account statement (I give her 15k monthly allowance)
My account statement etc

Previous history
I have had 5 UK visas including one student visa
My kids had 2 Uk visas aside my last baby who had 1
Previous US visas and numerous trips in the last 5yrs
Unused Canada visa (aside my cousin)
I visit minimum of 2 countries yearly mostly for fun and I hardly go anywhere without my kids

Hi Dami any luck with your Italian visa? How many days has it been now? Got a call from British embassy yesterday asking me to submit my passport to TLS contact. Exactly a week after biometrics.

Must I include a tax clearance receipt in my application? Also I was denied UK Student Visa in 2009 do I need to indicate that as it is over 10 year? Or better still can someone help with what and what I will be attaching to get a better chance.

My only advice is to please declare that you had been refused visa in the past, state why. They like honesty. If you leave out this information it may lead to them banning you for 10yrs.
Regarding your business account, please open a personal account then pay yourself a monthly salary from that account.

Good morning house, please I need you opinion on this matter, I applied to spend 7days vacation though my trip was suppose to be on the 15th May and I pick up my visa yesterday 16th.

Now I intend to travel June 10th. My question here now is if I book ticket to do 3 weeks (21days) as against 7days in my application would there be any challenge at POE?

Must I booked for that 3weeks or like how many days is advisable bcuz I gave friends that can accommodate me though I didn't mention them in my application.

You can travel anytime within your 6 months visa and 3 weeks is perfect. As long as you don’t overstay your 6 months in the Uk, you have nothing to worry about at all.

It clearly said 28 working days on the paper I signed. I suspect the visa will be ready before then but like you said, I didn’t want to risk it

Please house, do you recommend the 'Keep my passport' service? I am considering using this service because I might have another visa application to another country very soon and don't want any hindrance.

I did this today as I have plans of traveling to France on 8 June. Submitted my biometrics at tls Abuja and paid for keep my passport. It’s worth paying for because I applied for 10yrs visa, imagine if they delay and I have to withdraw the application so I could travel with my passport, it means I’d lose 1100usd I paid. Lmao I dey play? Moreover it’s not expensive

I haven’t got any update. When they called to request the passports, they didn’t give any timeline. They have called twice so far.

Hi Dami I submitted today and from the document I signed for KMP, it says you have 28 working days to resubmit your passport or risk losing your visa. Hope this helps. All the best

I am about doing same But submitting to UK first on Monday May 15 for 10yrs standard visa with my daughter. Then june 8th to France embassy. Hoping UK comes out before my June 8th appointment. Was hoping you ask the TLS people how long you have to turn it in?

We have now been asked to resubmit passport for UK decision making (in just one week) meanwhile Italy just received our application not too long ago.

What can I do? Anyone with suggestions or similar experience please will be appreciated.
