Birth alert... My Prince Charming made his grand entrance on the 6th of April, weighing 3.5kg. Both mum and bby are doing great. I don't really know,for me that was what i eliminated from my diet,because my dd is extremely colicky,whenever i take those things,my baby will be fussy while feeding and afterward,even b4 she passout gas na cry,i tried gripe water it didn't work.So anytime she start that colic cry i just carry her,sing&dance round the house lol. burping helps alot too,i learnt they would outgrow it after four month or so.

1. Pls my dd of 3weeks & some days makes this uncomfortable sounds like her stomach is paining her when she's sleeping. she twists, squeeze her face but doesn't cry. she gets relieved when she farts or poos at times, other times she just becomes calm. What could be wrong? is that what is called colic? what can I do to ease the pain?

2. How many times a day is she meant to poo at 3wks old? she poos about 3times a day & my MIL won't lemme hear word like it's too much. She's exclusively breastfed.. thank you all.

In addition,watch what you eat and drink.Avoid beans,eggs,garlic' also carbonated drinks for now.,colicky babies tend to react to these after feeding.

Hmmm. No wonder. So does it mean he isn't always hungry? Cos he will just turn his, eat his hand and squirm till he starts sucking.

My boy is good now. The plastibell fell off yesterday, day 5. He isn't in any pain and i apply penicillin religiously now as directed. How long will that red skin take to heal completely?

My lo is fine,hence the plastibell has fallen off ,it would heal within few days,keep applying the ointments.Welldone momma..regards to baby.

Pls ehn mamas, do babies smell breastmilk? Or do they know when mum carries them? As soon as I'm close or carry my son, he starts turning head and looking for ni..pple but when grandma carries him, he comports sharp sharp.

I heard its caused by the way we sat after childbirth.

I was wondering what was wrong because it was kind of strange to me o,did'nt have such experience with my other two,i was even thinking of taking purging medicine but change my mind cos i was afraid it might affect my baby,so i just settled with drinking plenty water & eating fruits i.e cucumber and carrot,it has reduced small tho.,i hope it stop after six month.,thanks

My Prince came on the 4/4/2018 at 3.28pm weighing 3.5kg via VD. Baby, mom and dad doing fine.

I think this is best time to do it because baby skin is soft and tend to bleed less so please don't worry too much,your lo is brave & stronger than you think,,

About the sitz bath, i understand you but will the water touch my vagi.na or i need just the steam? I need to sit in the water abi?

Your lo should be fine after a day or two but the healing process may take a week or less,and moreover they may prescribe drugs for him,that depends on the hospital
lol how will you sit in the water,make use of a potty or plastic like custard rubber(2kg),u need just the steam,hope you understand?

1.sit on not too hot & not too warm water,.2.Add dettol or salt
Yes it really hurt,(the cry is not for the faint hearted o),it usually takes between 7 to 10 day to heal,do keep the area clean.Apply vaseline on it to avoid discomfort when he wears diaper.also follow the advice that will be given to you there,wish you all the best.
