What do you mean by that - you're Igbo... period!
Oga calm down... I know who I am and stop being unnecessarily hasty to comment.

I drive from Lagos to Enugu to spend two or three days with colleagues I worked with at Enugu whenever am on my annual leave.

They are always happy to see me and I always look forward to such visits to see my brothers and enjoy the meals.

Okpa di oku and Pepsi na regular breakfast.

Abacha with ugba and the small bitter garden egg with fish by the side for lunch

Ofe nsala with mangala fish and pounded yam completes the menu for dinner.

I plan to embark on another trip this year.
Oga you be complete package.

Your full day's meal na local delicacy... Enjoyment no go kii you oh.

I love that you eat those meal with relish.

Nsala with mangala on pounded yam is a richman's delicacy... During new yam festival it's the meal of choice in my village especially at nights after we must have had roasted yam with palm oil and ukpaka/ugba!

Okpa can serve as an intermediate meal or even a snack served with chilled soft drink.

It was our staple back in Secondary School.

It's a pity how people without a functional knowledge of history and geography are here trying to correct the Op who has rightly and knowledgeably pontificated to them that Eastern Nigeria is not South East and that there's no such thing as South South or North North!

Eastern Nigeria comprises of South East and Niger Delta.
Southern Nigeria has both South West and South East as component parts.

A sizable part of Ogun state was sacked and most of it's people living like refugees in Benin republic and this misbegotten slow poke has the effrontery to talk about a little skirmish that has been effectively checked.

You are the one that lack the knowledge of true history, Go back and learn how Igala invaded Igbo land colonised and sold your forefathers as slaves
Your gullibility is novel. Now you're putting up somebody's thesis that can easily be countered, challenged and refuted as the be it all of all intellectual discourse.

I am not going to try to correct your obvious gaffe as it is a reflection of your lack of depth and discernment which ofcourse is a product of substandard education.

KingOdart:
Have you forgotten that ordinary Igala a minority tribe colonised your forefathers and sold them as slaves?

Even in that your tiny south east Igala still live on the lands they took from your wimpy forefathers, I even heard rumors that the governor of Anambra is an Igala man

Even Asari Dokubo an Ijaw man bragged about how Ijaw sold Igbo as slaves and your elders couldn't do anything other than beg.

If any tribe in Nigeria want to slander Yoruba about cowardice it is not Igbo, you are descendants of slaves that got colonised by a minority tribe lol
Your lack of history is already a handicap. The relationship between Igbos and Igala's is one that your little mind can't comprehend... I speak and understand Igala very well and should know better than to peddle beer parlour gossips like you just did. Obiano is from Aguleri.. A simple google search would have cured you of this ignorance.
Asari claims his fathers sold Igbos as slaves yet most of the ethnic groups around the coastline speak a variant of Igbo... The Igbani's, Opobo's, abonema's, Okrika et al. Please, you can verify this and then tell yourself who the Boss is?

Coward Omonile calling himself lord... Your mumu is eternal. Na the mumu gene Awolowo and co passed down to you and your ilk that I blame.

No part of Igbo territory is in the hand of the enemy.

Try installing an Oba in Ilorin if Sultan of Sokoto won't come for your entire race..hahahahahaha.

The Yoruba's have two enemies and it's igbo and fulani/hausa.......zik fought hard for ilorin not to be given to the south west....... what's happening today is karma and more igbos will die for ziks actions....more will die.
Zik is a persona non grata... We have lived through worst decisions and we are still thriving.

My grouse with your tribe is their lack of courage to face their worst fear which is the agenda of the Fulani's to keep them subjugated in perpetuity.

When the igbos were fighting for their collective destinies and you guys were busy calling them wailers...
Now the Yoruba Nation has unwittingly but surely began their wailing hence the uncomittal indifference from the Igbos.
The chicken has finally come home to roost.

When my ancestors were building empire's yours were still in the jungle mating with gorillas.... grin
Mr historian,

Kindly explain to us how come there's an emirate in Ilorin and no where else in the west?
Where are the Gambari's from?
Where are the Saraki's from?

For your info those names have Hausa/Fulani roots hence their meaning?

Why Saraki and Gambari and not Adewale or Ayanwale?

Know your history and stop spewing thrash online.

Read more about the crusades of Uthma Danfodio and stop showing your folly online.

Sincinnati:
So a jobless yoruba yoot was fortunate enough to stumble upon a colonial document and found out that despite the huge revenue his brainless fathers made for the British they were only giving less than 1% of their revenue to cater for their hopeless selves.

He then turned it against Igbos as he doesn’t have the mental capacity to confront the British for the worst kind of slavery his fathers were subjected to. He then brought the news to Nairaland, and behold a host of his fellow ethnic zombies drooling at the mention of Igbos. Pray, tell how this was the fault of Eastern Region or Igbos who were also marginalized? Is there anywhere in the document where it seemed like yoruba revenue was been allocated to Eastern Region? Wetin come make this gutter water guzzling and amala chewing irritants dey bleat about the thread crying Igbos everywhere?

Igbos living rent free in Ibadam, Oshobo, Akure, Abiokuta, Lagos, Lagoon, and yorubabrain.
It's really funny how a cowardly tribe like the Yorubas thinks the Igbos are their problems. How so undiscerning of them not to see the glaringly obvious conspiracy to keep them perpetually subjugated.
The Western region generated more but the British and their Fulani task master ensured they always got the short end of the stick. This narrative is their present day reality in the Nigeria of today. Tinubu can't go against his Fulani Bosses reason why El-rufai can come to his backyard and insult him without the fear of retribution. The last time El-rufai tried that in Anambra State he spent the entire day under lock in his hotel room. Osibanjo has been reduced to the commissioner of condolence visit and he can't even as much as let out a whimper. Ilorin today has an emirate instead of an Oba and yet the Igbos and not the Sultan of Sokoto is their problem. Dangote has almost bought the whole of Lagos beach front and this myopic tribe doesn't understand what economic annexation is. The Igbos run all the major markets in Lagos and other major towns in Yoruba land and they don't have any in the East. Be wailing until we install an Igwe in Ile Ife, Abeokuta, Ibadan and the likes like the Fulani's did in Ilorin. Ours will be a bloodless economic revolution/annexation and not through the barrel of the gun.

But you ignore the superiority of your Yoruba lord that you love to insult. This was before the discovery oil n today Igbos are still flocking into Yoruba to scavenge from the wretched east, no wonder Azikwr wanted to be premier of western region by all mean.
A conquered tribe that willingly relinguished it's heritage(identity) and part of its patrimony (Ilorin readily comes to mind) to Uthman Dafodio during his crusades now has found their withered voice.
Tinubu still pays obeisance to the Fulani's with all Yoruba race in tow and you're here muttering gibberish.
Tivs & Jukuns resisted the jihadist like warriors, reason why they are still trying albeit futilely to annex their land till date but your cowardly tribe couldn't as much as put up a defence in defiance or even put up seeming show of pseudo bravery instead they capitulated like they always will and today the result is that Ilorin has an emirate and not an Oba.
Shame on your forbearers who have passed on that cowardly gene to you.
Osibanjo can't even let out a whimper of resistance even when he is obviously treated poorly... Recall how Atiku resisted Obj (a retired Gen) but your Prof can't do that. Yoruba's will always seek the validation of their Fulani masters before they become anything worthwhile in the Nigeria of today.
I would rather remain a proud 5%er than be the weeping baby of a ruthless Fulani task master from Futa Jelon!

Yes the north got the highest.....but check the revenue generated by the north then....still far higher than that of the east, the north only short changed themselves out of greed by chasing after oil.....the numbers tell the story, igbos are useless noise makers.

No much has changed. If you compare land size, population and revenue generation, the east is still getting x5 of what it should be getting.
Your obsession with the East will be your undoing...

The North gets favoured even far above the West and all you could say is that the East gets 5x what it should get.

Your hypocrisy stinks to the high heavens. Rid yourself of 'igbophobia' and live a healthy life free of BS!
