My take: you will just have to explain yourself well to the CBP at POE giving a valid reason why you couldn't show up for the wedding. As per going to Texas by road from NY, the trip alone will take like 2 days. Na long journey and if u decide to go by air it will set you back upwards of $500 dollars for a round trip. So weight ur options well. ethnicgirl: |

Okay, my POE experience. I flew Ethiad so my POE was Abu Dhabi. Great entertainment on Ethiad by the way. 7 hour layover and 14 hour flight from Abu Dhabi to JFK, New York. Apart from the long flight time, the flight was smooth and enjoyable. Great entertainment and good meal. I made sure the hostess kept coming with wine So at Abu Dhabi with Custom & Border Protection officer CBP: Your passport please Me: Handed it over with the white n blue declaration form. CBP: Why are you going to the US? Me: Holiday & Vacation CBP: Where are you going to? Me: New Jersey CBP: Why New Jersey Me: I have family there. CBP: What do you do? Me: I work with ......and I'm into IT CBP: Oh do you do cyber security too Me: not my speciality but I knw the protocol. CBP: How long are you staying Me: 16 days CBP: place ur fingers on the screen and he takes my fingerprint and stamps me in for 6 months. Enjoy your stay. Me: thanks I tell you something, I saw people that were stamped in for only 2 weeks and some a month after so much interrogation. I guess your story just has to check out or you may have issues. Got to JFK and just got my luggage, no security check again at all, we were treated like a domestic flight. Cheers 9 Likes |

Attraction: I really can't say bro. The VO would obviously assess your application based on many indices. But I would advice you get a schengen visa and visit 2 countries in Europe. That would greatly boost your chances. Best wishes |

So here's my interview story. I stumbled on this thread about 2 weeks ago and I'm grateful to all the contributors here cos you all prepared me for the interview. I assessed my application based on the info here and I realised the merits n demerits of my application. DEMERITS 1. Single 2. Low income MERITS 1. Employed 2. Travel history. Here's the transcript VO: Why are you going to the US? ME: Holiday, Vacation. VO: Where are you going to? ME: New Jersey. VO: Why New Jersey? ME: Because I have an uncle there who is willing to accommodate me and be my tour guide. VO: What do you do? ME: I work with (I name the federal agency and state what we do). I am an IT analyst. VO: Have you travelled before? ME: Yes I have been to the UK and Republic of Ireland. VO: Can I see your previous passport? ME: (hands him the passport and he flips thru it o verify the UK and Ireland visas). VO: Your visa has been approved (Hands me the white paper) pls pick your passport at the designated center in three days. ME: Thank you. I believe travel history won it for me. If indeed you studied English & Linguistics, then you are a disgrace to the course and whatever school that u studied at and Ur qualification is as shoddy as the Web page you attached because you should know that 'cost' is an irregular verb. By the way, i'm a science major that works in IT, but the little I know in English language definitely trumps your expertise. Now find attached real snapshots from the web slightlyMad:

Its you that need to check your dictionary illiterate, cos the past tense of cost is still cost and not costed as you erroneously put it. The fact that English is our lingual fraca means you should at least have a grasp of it and not ridicule yourself here. FYI I have attained mental and physical freedom slightlyMad: |

Politics / Re: Buhari Is Turning Nigeria To A Fascist State -balarabe Musa by Blizzle(m): 11:26am On Dec 09, 2015 |
It should be noted that the Nigerian voters register is plagued with so many under-aged voters, inanimate objects and multiple registrations even in the same polling unit. Now INEC tried to clean up the register as much as possible but couldn't do an effective job because the software they used is an Open-Source software (in otherwords FREE software). Inasmuch as there has never been a 100% turn out at any election worldwide, it would be close to impossible to attain turnout of 70% in any election in Nigeria because of the reasons stated above. Thus it would always look like there is voter apathy in any election conducted using the 2011 Voter Register and Card Reader because the card reader wont allow inanimate objects and multiple registrants to present themselves for accreditation. |

I was worried when my birds contacted it then, but they recovered fully so much so that all the swellings and blackheads on their comb totally disappeared. I dont consider fowl pox a life threatening disease and it doesnt stop the birds from eating or being active. Someone suggested squeezing bitterleaf and effirin (i dont know the english name) adding to their water and applying the spent leaves to the affected area and it worked. If you are still administering the fowlpox drug, u can wait until u finish that b4 giving lasota. But i would advise that you suspend the fowlpox drug now to be able to administer the monthly lasota. Cheers apexquest: |
