Please school me to the airline/website where you can get such a deal.

seyewest:
A roundtrip from New York to Houston will never cost $250 let alone $500.
Before the poster travel.. he should purchase a ticket from New York(JFK) to Houston as of today it cost $90 but it will go down by next week tuesday and wednesday to around $55. Be patient
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Blizzle(m): 2:22pm On Nov 04, 2016
My take: you will just have to explain yourself well to the CBP at POE giving a valid reason why you couldn't show up for the wedding.

As per going to Texas by road from NY, the trip alone will take like 2 days. Na long journey and if u decide to go by air it will set you back upwards of $500 dollars for a round trip. So weight ur options well.

ethnicgirl:
good day forum members, pls i'm a little confused on some things and i'd appreciate it if you guys can help with answers.I got my visa in September to attend my uncle's wedding but due to some personal circumstances,i couldn't make the wedding.now,i have decided to travel after my exams in December for Xmas. but here's why am confused;

1.would i have any issues at POE just because i didn't travel for the wedding when i was supposed to since that was my main reason for applying for the visa?

2.the wedding was meant to be in texas but i have decided to use newyork as my POE. Texas is still going to be my final destination but i want the travelling experience and flights to newyork are relatively cheaper than flying to houston, texas.

3.Is it advisable to travel by road from newyork to houston for a first timer?if so,how do i arrange and pay for bus/train tickets.if not, would i have to book a connecting flight from newyork to houston before travelling?
pls guys i would love if you can really help me with this.this is going to be my first time travelling and i dont wanna make any mistakes especially at the POE.thanks

Okay, my POE experience.

I flew Ethiad so my POE was Abu Dhabi. Great entertainment on Ethiad by the way. 7 hour layover and 14 hour flight from Abu Dhabi to JFK, New York. Apart from the long flight time, the flight was smooth and enjoyable. Great entertainment and good meal. I made sure the hostess kept coming with wine grin

So at Abu Dhabi with Custom & Border Protection officer

CBP: Your passport please
Me: Handed it over with the white n blue declaration form.

CBP: Why are you going to the US?
Me: Holiday & Vacation

CBP: Where are you going to?
Me: New Jersey

CBP: Why New Jersey
Me: I have family there.

CBP: What do you do?
Me: I work with ......and I'm into IT

CBP: Oh do you do cyber security too
Me: not my speciality but I knw the protocol.

CBP: How long are you staying
Me: 16 days

CBP: place ur fingers on the screen and he takes my fingerprint and stamps me in for 6 months. Enjoy your stay.
Me: thanks

I tell you something, I saw people that were stamped in for only 2 weeks and some a month after so much interrogation. I guess your story just has to check out or you may have issues.

Got to JFK and just got my luggage, no security check again at all, we were treated like a domestic flight.

Cheers

About my ties; I'm a banker and don't intend staying in US cos I want my gratuity on my 10th yr, I'm already 7yrs counting. Travel history : Indonesia to represent Nigeria in a pageant last year. Wdy think

I really can't say bro. The VO would obviously assess your application based on many indices. But I would advice you get a schengen visa and visit 2 countries in Europe. That would greatly boost your chances. Best wishes

Congrats. Yes I agreed that your travel history did the magic. And don't forget the content of your DS160 form also played a major role. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks, I intend to.

God I claim this kind of blessing. Can I say if asked why New York? Because I have a friend who is willing to accommodate me and be my tour guide? My salary is 234k monthly I know it's pretty small. I really will love a Christmas in New York.

Yes I guess you can provided you include that info in your DS form and obtain a letter if invitation from your friend to back it up. But the most important thing is your ties and travel history

I'm in a Ado-ekiti there is well know farmer here call METROVET I source my birds through them, I'm also using their feed from day 1. But on the carton I could observe nastech was written, so I'm sure the got them from nastech.. The birds are Isa-brown. They started laying at 18th week and 6days exactly, they reach 50% output at the end of 21st and 80% at their 24th week.

Just 300 birds as I was advise to start little since I had no experience, going for more 500.

Well done bro. You have done really well. 90% production in deep liter, that is amazing.

I reside in ado too and would like to interact with you.

If indeed you studied English & Linguistics, then you are a disgrace to the course and whatever school that u studied at and Ur qualification is as shoddy as the Web page you attached because you should know that 'cost' is an irregular verb.

By the way, i'm a science major that works in IT, but the little I know in English language definitely trumps your expertise.

Now find attached real snapshots from the web

slightlyMad:

professor blizzle, no amount of words you string together will make what i typed incorrect, unfortunately for your sorry white-ass, i studied English and Linguistics
whether i speak good or bad english should be none of your generation's business

here is a snapshot i culled from the web for your sorry a55

Its you that need to check your dictionary illiterate, cos the past tense of cost is still cost and not costed as you erroneously put it. The fact that English is our lingual fraca means you should at least have a grasp of it and not ridicule yourself here.

FYI I have attained mental and physical freedom

slightlyMad:

yes! costed, check your dictionary professor of english
the queen doesn't know your language exists yet you major in her language, slave boy!

Your topic would be better worded "What is the benefit of the Buhari administration to Nigerians"
Politics / Re: Buhari Is Turning Nigeria To A Fascist State -balarabe Musa by Blizzle(m): 11:26am On Dec 09, 2015
It should be noted that the Nigerian voters register is plagued with so many under-aged voters, inanimate objects and multiple registrations even in the same polling unit. Now INEC tried to clean up the register as much as possible but couldn't do an effective job because the software they used is an Open-Source software (in otherwords FREE software).

Inasmuch as there has never been a 100% turn out at any election worldwide, it would be close to impossible to attain turnout of 70% in any election in Nigeria because of the reasons stated above. Thus it would always look like there is voter apathy in any election conducted using the 2011 Voter Register and Card Reader because the card reader wont allow inanimate objects and multiple registrants to present themselves for accreditation.

I was worried when my birds contacted it then, but they recovered fully so much so that all the swellings and blackheads on their comb totally disappeared. I dont consider fowl pox a life threatening disease and it doesnt stop the birds from eating or being active.

Someone suggested squeezing bitterleaf and effirin (i dont know the english name) adding to their water and applying the spent leaves to the affected area and it worked.

If you are still administering the fowlpox drug, u can wait until u finish that b4 giving lasota. But i would advise that you suspend the fowlpox drug now to be able to administer the monthly lasota. Cheers
