23-year-old Seun Isaiah McMillan was stabbed to death in Southgate, London on Tuesday night, May 2.
Homicide detectives believe he was attacked four miles away in a playing field at Masefield Crescent, close to his family home.


Witnesses said they alerted police after an argument broke out "over money" between a group of young men gathered in the park.

A post-mortem examination on 4 May gave his cause of death as a single stab wound to the chest.

On Tuesday, 2 May, police were called to Barnet Hospital at about 19:30hrs to reports that a man - later identified as Seun - had self-presented at the hospital, suffering stab injuries. Seun was later pronounced dead at around 20:20hrs that evening.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating. Detective Chief Inspector Lee Watling, who is leading the investigation for the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said:
"We now believe Seun was stabbed in Cowper Gardens in Southgate and at that time there would have been a number of people there that had attended in cars.
"We are keen to speak to everyone who was there, and would appeal for them to contact us. We would also appeal to anyone who saw what cars were in Cowper Gardens at the time of the incident to also contact us.
"We continue to appeal for any witnesses to the attack, or anyone with any information about it, to contact us.
Meanwhile, two men - aged 27 and 25 were arrested in the early hours of Wednesday, 3 May, in connection with the murder. Both have been released under investigation.
Friends and relatives believe Shea, as he is fondly called, lit candles at a tearful vigil at the senes on Wednesday night as police officers searched drains and checked beneath vehicles in a hunt for the murder weapon.

A cousin, who spoke under anonymity told Evening Standard that he was just so bubbly, he is just a normal guy and he didn't deserve what happened.
"The last time I saw him at the park we were playing football, he loved it and played centre back. I have no idea what happened to him. His mum is just trying to cope. Everybody knows him around here they all liked him. He was a popular guy."

In a note, Seun's grandparents said :
"Such a wonderful and caring young man taken away from all of us family and friends. You will always be in our hearts forever, rest in peace."

The fire at the palace of the Oba of Lagos on Tuesday has nothing to do with the Lagos’ monarch’s relationship with the Ooni of Ife, an official has said.

The spokesperson of the Ooni’s palace, Moses Olafare, says the Ife monarch, Enitan Ogunwusi, is unhappy with the fire incident.

“We are not happy over the fact that the palace of Lagos king got burnt, we can only sympathise with the palace on the development,” he said.

The fire incident at the Lagos monarch’s palace, occured about one week after a video showed the Lagos monarch, Rilwan Akiolu, snub the Ooni.

There have been rumours on social media that Tuesday’s fire was caused by the snub, reports denied by Mr. Olafare.

“People are entitle to their own views,” he said. “But what people say doesn’t mean that is the position of the palace. What happened is mere coincidence and should not be traced to the incident in Lagos, we send our sympathies" he added.

The woman who was captured on camera stealing from the bride at a wedding has confessed to being responsible for the couple not having kids.

They were married for 2years with no kids. The couple's friend randomly saw this video he recorded 2yrs ago at their wedding. They apparently confronted the woman and she confessed to doing something diabolic to her to cause her to not have kids! May God help us!!! Such a wicked world!!! Vivacious singer, Yemi Alade, has practically conquered the African continent and it seems she won’t rest until she adds the rest of the world to her empire.

Alade is known to sing in different languages including Yoruba, English, Igbo, French, and Swahili, among others. Expressing her love for African culture, she told Sunday Scoop how being from two different tribes has helped her career. “You cannot underestimate the importance and role of tribes in Nigeria as it is taken very seriously. I am very proud of my heritage as an African and I try to portray in every way that I can and everywhere I go. Being partly Yoruba and Igbo is a big plus for me as it has helped me to connect with both cultures. However, I believe that both cultures are inextricably intertwined because they share a lot of similarities,” she said.

Yemi also stated that her first hit, Johnny was released by mistake. She said, “I was in the studio with Selebobo and we were just goofing around trying to come up with a nice sound. The first line for the song just came out playfully and I continued. I never thought that it would become a hit and if not that the song was leaked, I may never have released it.”
