The Indian Authorities on Saturday Deported a Nigerian National named Idoko Fablan Ojigichi after his bid to smuggle cocaine to Singapore was foiled by a courier firm in Kondhwa on June 26, TimesofIndia reports.

Idoko was in the city on a business visa. He had given the parcel containing drugs to a 17-year-old and asked him to dispatch it to Singapore via a courier firm.

When the boy took the parcel to the courier firm at Jyoti Chowk, the manager got suspicious.

“The parcel contained an old pair of shoes which seemed to cost around Rs1,000, but sending it to Singapore would cost Rs6,000,” a police official said. .

The manager alerted the police and on further inspection, a small packet was found concealed inside the shoes. A kit used to test narcotics confirmed that the packet contained cocaine. .

During questioning, the minor told the police that Idoko gave him the parcel.

Police searched Idoko’s residence and his passport was recovered. .

Investigations revealed that he was residing in India for the last six years and is an active member of an organized crime syndicate involved in drug peddling.

The Rivers state Police command has arrested a man named Uche Ani for possessing 12 Stolen Cars, He was arrested alongside his accomplice Andrew Atuse who's an ex convict.

The 12 Cars all Toyota brands, were snatched from motorists in Rivers State.

According to Him the State has said that hardship forced him into robbing people of their vehicles at gunpoint.

Confessing the suspect said that he was able to rob people of their vehicles and sell them immediately through his friend Atuse who poses as a fake soldier.

“I went into car robbery because of hardship and the devil pushed me into it. When we snatch the vehicles, we give it to him (pointing at the fake soldier) because he always posed as a soldier.

“We snatched majority of the cars in Port Harcourt. We snatched some of the vehicles at gunpoint while others were taken away where they were parked with master keys.

“The military man (fake soldier) carries the cars. It is the Army man that brought us into this business. Like I said, when we collect the cars, we give it to him (pointing at the fake soldier). I am an undergraduate,” he said.

Also speaking, Andrew Atuse, who claimed that the identification card and the Army cap he used in parading himself as a soldier were given to him by a soldier.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Zaki Ahmed, explained that apart from the stolen vehicles recovered from Ani and Atuse in the Location area of Port Harcourt, the FSARS operatives also recovered one locally-made pistol, two cartridges.

The Police in Niger State has arrested a man named Basiru Audu for sexually abusing and raping his own daughter in his house at London Street, Minna, the state capital. The 30-year -old man on July 16, sneaked into the children’s room and had raped her while the wife traveled to their home town, Daura, Kastina state.

Confessing the man said that he had been having sex with underage girls before he sexually abused his own daughter.

He said,
“I blamed my wife for not being around when I needed sex, she travels a lot and that was why I had to sleep with my daughter; what a shameful thing.

“That night, I was having a burning sensation to have sex and since my wife was not around, I had no option but to sleep with my daughter to ease off tension,” he confessed.

He was arrested after neighbours observed that the victim was walking awkwardly and on inquiry, were informed by the girl that her father “put something in her private part.”

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, said the suspect had confessed to the crime and regretted his action.

Nollywood veteran asctree Eucharia Anunobi, has revealed that she being a Pastor still doesn't stop her from Acting roles given to her, While speaking with Sunday Scoop the Actress said she never thought she would one day become an Actress as she came from a very strict home.
She said:

“Some people think that when you become a minister of the gospel, you are not supposed to have a career. However, being a minister does not stop you from working.

Since I started acting, I have never taken a break and I am not going there. I think what caused this misconception is that because of the activities of pirates, many movie producers were not publicising our works. So when people don’t see you in movie adverts, they think that you are no longer on the scene.

As a matter of fact, I just got back from set. Even as a pastor, I can still act a movie like Glamour Girls because my individuality is different from whatever character I portray in a movie. I always tell people that undue exposure of the body that does not add to the story doesn’t make sense.

I watch some movies where people bare skin for no plausible reason. Being a pastor does not stop me from acting any role, as long as there is no undue exposure of my body. I gave my life to Christ in 1997; so, even at the peak of my career, I was a born again.”

Reminiscing on her foray into the entertainment industry, Anunobi said,
“Growing up, I never thought that I would become an actress because I come from a very strict home. I remember that we used to watch Michael Jackson on TV then and my siblings and I were captivated by his dance steps.

At that point, I thought if I ever did anything in the entertainment industry, I would be a dancer. Even then, it was just a dream at the back of my mind because I knew my father would never allow me do that. I actually started my career as a model and I got into acting by chance.

I recall that I used to watch people like Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Genevieve Nnaji on TV because they got into the industry before me. However, I was blessed because right from when I started, every movie I featured in was a blockbuster. I always tell people to be original in whatever they do as that is what would make them stand out. Humility also helped me to rise and remain relevant.”

raders from different ethnic nationalities on Saturday morning broke down in tears following a fire outbreak which gutted the popular Terminus Market in Jos.
The market which is mostly populated by Igbo businessmen was said to have been destroyed some years ago following a bomb explosion which was allegedly linked with the Boko Haram Islamic sect.

According to NAN During the latest fire incident which was said to have started last night, several warehouses were burnt to ashes.

The total amount of money lost to the incident could not be ascertained as of the time of this report.

Emmanuel Okolo a Lagos based Doctor has appeared before Epe Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State after he allegedly slapped and flogged a nurse that works at his Hospital.

The 35-year-old doctor was arrested on June 20th after he slapped Dorcas Adeyera, 23, for admitting accident victim without his consent.

The police charged Okolo with a one-count charge of assault. Moses Oyekanmi the Police prosecutor told the court the accused committed at about 2 am, at Awoyaya Hospital in Ibeju-Lekki.

Okolo was said to have initially summoned Adeyera into his office and ordered her to kneel down. When she refused, the doctor was alleged to have dealt her several slaps and also flogged her with a belt.

The nurse, in her report to the medical director of the hospital, said she was humiliated by Okolo. “My Lord, the accused caused bodily injury to the complainant. .

He slapped her just because she worked for him. He should be punished for it,” prosecutor Oyekanmi said.
The offence contravenes Section 172 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. (Revised) .

After pleading not guilty, Magistrate O. A. Fowowe-Erusiafe admitted him to bail at N50,000. Fowowe-Erusiafe adjourned the case till August 19 for trial.

A man named Wadatau Lawan, has been arrested by the police in Kastina state for snatching cars.
The 49yr old was arrested by the Police Patrol team attached to Malumfashi Area Command, Katsina while on routine patrol in Malumfashi town.

The car, a stolen Toyata Camry, 2000 model, green in colour, Chassis No.4TIBG22K6Y495726 with registration KJA 432 EG was recovered.

However, during the course of investigation another motor vehicle Toyota RAV4 Jeep, ash in colour, Chasis No. JT3HP10V7X7146904 with Reg. No. RSH 719 AM, was also recovered.

The suspect will be arraigned in court immediately investigation is completed.

Madagascar, also known as the “eighth continent”, boasts of rainforests, beaches, historic burial grounds and plants that are found nowhere else in the world. Since the arrival of humans on the island in 350 BC, the island has witnessed the stages of civilisation and different cultures.

One of these is the 17th-century burial rite known as Famadihana which literally translates to “turning of the bones”.

Famadihana involves the digging up a corpse to dance with it. The burial rite is done every seven years by the family of the dead.
The celebration kicks off with music trumpets and chants of joy. While this is being done, digging commences. An elder, preferably one from the family, takes up the duty of invoking the dead body to join the living. This act is important: it is the only chance of the dead to revisit the world and relive his activities which they sometimes invoke through black magic

The body is cleaned and wrapped in expensive clothing like silk before they are raised high by relatives to dance around with it. Women who are not able to give birth cut a patch of the cloth and place under their bed with hopes of blessings.

Relatives also avail the opportunity to tell the dead the happenings they have had since their departure. Natives claim that the dead respond in acknowledgement.
After this is done, the bodies are turned upside-down as a seal of their journey to the spirit. It is only after this is done that the body can finally go to its resting place.

Like I said, it's a core part of relationships to stay in touch, but there are times all YOU NEED IS UNDERSTANDING. I have a friend whose babe starts calling him from 4:30pm. Where are you? Are you still on the road? Why didn't you pick your call? Are you sure you are at work? Are you not supposed to have closed? Can you video call me? Blah blah blah. Then he met one who doesn't stress him. She will leave messages. How was your day? Hope the work load is not too much? You have been so busy, try and get a massage this weekend. Should I send you lunch? Should my driver bring you orange juice? Once you give a guy the impression that you are not concerned about his career, you are on a long thing. This also goes for men who, short of putting a tracker on their babes, monitor them like they are on Parole. You may be more beautiful, richer and sexier... but understanding your spouse's career is KEY...
