So I am doing this because of what just happened to me just yesterday and as a reply to the post: Share your worst broke moments in life:https://www.nairaland.com/6217639/share-worst-broke-moments-experiences. To start with, I am a freelancer on Fiverr.com offering services like content writing, photo editing, graphic design, cartoon drawing, illustration, comics, logo design, video editing, and photoshop document editing. I signed up on this platform in mid-2018. Back then, I wasn't so serious with it until just this year, during the Covid-19 heat about February of this year. I have heard stories of people making money on freelance platforms so I decided to go back and get serious with the freelance of a career. I started posting on Twitter almost every day without fail and with this, my Gig impression skyrocketed to the moon with over 3k impressions and about 5 clicks on average every day. Although the posting helped in a way, what I think really effected the change was my test score on Photoshop and English Language in which I scored 9 and 9.5 respectively on a scale of 10. On my profile, it showed that I was amongst the best 10% who took those tests. So fast forward to this moment, I have started making money which was a dream come true. I knew from the look of things, and all being equal, that I was going to become a millionaire.; well cos I was making about 80$ monthly after the company takes their compulsory 20% off my total earnings for that period and with the projection it would grow to more than a thousand dollars in a month. I was getting 5-star ratings and tips from the buyers. Some requested for my Facebook account, WhatsApp and stuff so they can continue to chat with me from there. One girl even wanted to spark up a romantic "freelancetionship" but I just kept my dealings with her professional. So as happy as a lark, I was seeing a very blindingly bright future unfold before me. I had managed to rustle up some dough to purchase me a MacBook, I bought a charger for the MacBook which for some reason was not shipped since June 3rd till now and which made me buy another charger at a local store for Naija. I complained about this on a post made by someone about Nipost withholding what he had shipped. Chai this country sef. I bumped up the storage of the laptop from 2gb to 4gb and bought an SSD for the lappy. So to say, a niggar done did spend almost 140k; so virtually every penny I made so far was taken by the laptop, phew; I just wanted a very streamlined workflow is all. So promising as things were, man I never knew what was going to happen. So I have already made 120$ in October and was going to make a withdrawal next two weeks as I must wait for a period of 14 days before the funds can be available for withdrawal and for the fact that I am using Payoneer to receive the money, I must have at least 50$ before I can withdraw my funds to my Bank account for Naija. While I was waiting patiently for the funds to be cleared, the money I have with me was fast getting depleted and about this time I have with me just 900 naira... |
Ife ndi ocha na-ekwu bu Emeka Maduka, aiyoo. Chai the good old days of childhood. |
Is the download speed fast for heavy downloads? |
Kestolove:You are a slowpoke but you have no one to tell you. |
Onogueks:Safe journey. |
Dangrace01:A wise man once said to me in a dream in faraway wonderland that all that glitters is not gold. *he stares into the distance and with a knowing smile he takes a long draw of the cigar and puffs into the eventide* |
vickydevoka:Just 1 million naira. Your friend hasn't lost much sef. My paddy paddy lost 6.2 million which he got by selling his two plots of land. What of me? roughly 2.5 million don leave me because of that shit called FOREX. Till today I can't even tell how I managed to survive the trauma. But all in all, I thank GOD that I got hit at a young age. Atleast I still have time to heal the broken heart of mine. |
People who think sport gambling is bad should really ask about FOREX trading. FOREX is one of the worst destiny killers humanity has ever known but some people are still yet to realize that. |
The same issue here. Bought a macbook charger from Ebay. Had it sent to my Planetexpress suite from whence it was sent to Asendia from where it was finally sent to Nigeria but since June 3rd nothing has happened. My mind told me to go report at their office but I didn't go cos I thought it was due to COVID-19 but now I know better. I swear to GOD if I leave this country anyday, there is for sure no coming back! |
Just negodu. Odi egwu my people. Chai! |
Exponental:Are you sure you are okay? ![]() |
He is half and half. Father Yoruba and mom Igbo. |
NaijaCelebNews:Where you from? You sound like Nasty C. |
phinter:You are a bloody fool. How does what you've just said relate to one leaving a cheating wife. All you lots are hoes--more like holes looking for who to trap. |
All those nairaland hoes will avoid this thread like it is a plague. Bunch of retards! |
Generaloluseye:The woman is an ECOWAS staffer not me. Buh I will ask her if the job is still available. |
stanvesco:I will ask the woman. |
nextprince:I'm sure the ones who gave birth to you are as stupid as you are. |
wapadunk:mumu |
Flaghouse1:Guy I thought you were mature buh look at how stupid you sound. Pls why in tarnation won't you let me be huh? |
Flaghouse1:buzz off! |
Flaghouse1:Oh I'm flattered. Try harder next time. |
Flaghouse1:I replied you using the same tone you did me... ciao! |
Flaghouse1:Please try to be articulate ok. If you are finding it hard to speak good English you can at least resort to speaking vernacular. English is not by force. |
calebokey45:Didn't you read where I said that I checked my ‘sent request’ and saw nothing there. Apart from that, If she hadn't accepted me, a button showing that I sent her a request would have still been on her profile. |
Flaghouse1:So why would I waste my time going to Facebook if I had her number. Eh papa oo? Smh. |
pocohantas:They are no longer living there. I have tried to get her number from her friends buh to no avail. You can say whatever you like about me being proud buh I don't gaf. |
God some people's comment for here just tire me. So nah sin to inform someone about something that will help them. So I should have kept quiet abi? Well everybody is entitled to their opinion. |
