musicwriter: Tinubu has done the right thing but it has been done late (but there's no good time to do it). The rewards would come later, not now.
This should have been done since the 80's instead of SAP programs and later everyday increase of fuel price by other administrations.
If it was done earlier, we would have gotten used to it and be better off by now.
This is the first time in my adult life that Nigeria has elected a president that not only knows what to do but ready to sacrifice himself to get it done instead of playing politics.
The ancients already studied this and I can see clearly that a natural principle is playing out here. The savior sacrifices his/her life to solve a major problem but would not be appreciated. ZOMBIE |

mrvitalis: There is absolutely no economic theory that justifies APC economic policies from 2015 till date
If you take out time to study the economic situation you find out
1) things haven't gotten expensive Nigerians just got poorer from a GDP per capita of over 3000 dollars to a GDP per capita of less than 1000 dollars that's over 66.667% loss of wealth
2) the currency devaluation situation... APC have lied to Nigerians that our excessive imports is what's causing the Naira to grow weaker... Lmaooo
- a simple look at the trade balance sheet since 2015 shows we are in a trade surplus... So why is the dollar falling? Because of government borrowing
APC government is the biggest consumers of forex in other to build near useless feel good projects that won't make any money
Each time government borrows money to build inflated bridge, road or steal it makes every Nigerian poorer
So the mooping up of dollars to service debt is why naira is falling
Next year thy would borrow 40 trillion which would make naira fall I predict to ₦2250 minimum by 2027 I predict our GDP to be at 150 to 120 billion dollars
APC don't understand the fundamental problem we have so can't even attempt to fix it Well said . Their useless Coven cursed supporters would not like this. |

Most people are not even aware of the costs of whatever they call "free"....
Nothing is really free if you take time to really ponder on it. Somehow, you get to "stake" something.
There's a price for everything. You must give up something to balance the equation. That's how nature works.
Aye, some costs might seem negligible but you don pay mean say you don pay.
Even to beg for road na serious work if you think am well... Lols Well said. Even Jesus told his followers and potential fellowers to take up their cross and carry it. There is a price to pay for everything. Even the grace of God is not free. |

Righthussle: It's certainly going to be an irredeemably colonised African who wants to go to a heaven filled with white angels that have white names like Angel Gabriel and angel Michael and be with a white Jesus with long caucasian hair along side a white father Abraham.
A colonised African is not interested in anything that can connect him with his forebears. Or a heaven where there are angels with African names like angel Ndokwe or angel Fubara or angel Soyinka or angel Sarowiwa.
A heavily colonised African will castigate his forefather's religion on the ground of human sacrifice only to promote the religion of the enslavers of his people that is centred on the human sacrifice of the son of a carpenter in Israel. Gibberish. With the way Nigeria and Africa is, I bet you, you would not want to be in a Heaven that has Angels with names like Wike,Tinubu, Akapbio, and Nigerian and African politicians in it. seguntijan: PBAT PETROL SUBSIDY REMOVAL...A PUNISHMENT TO NIGERIANS?
Obasanjo spent $15billion on subsidy in 8yrs
Yar Adua spent $6billion in 3yrs
Jonathan Spent $36billion in 6 yrs
Buhari spent $50billion in 8yrs
Between May 2000 - May 2023 Nigeria spent about $106billion on cheap fuel
This money could have given nigerians over 80,000Mw of Electricity, Fix all NGR refineries, Fix all the major roads in NGR, Fix Ajaokuta steel & other but it was wasted in Subsidizing petrol not for only nigerians
between 2000 - 2023 NGR Debt equally grew from $28billion to $108billion despite Paris club debt forgiveness of about $18billion.
in 2023 NGR was servicing it's debt with over $18billion annually..seeking to borrow over $25billion on a revenue of less than $20billion.
it took a cumulative number of 3billion Nigerians to consume petrol Subsidy of $106billion in 23yrs
If PBAT continued same pattern it would just take 10yrs(2023 - 2033) to have another 3billion consume $106billion or more of petrol Subsidy raising NGR debt to over $212billion, increase debt servicing to over S40billion with revenue remaining around $28billion(revenue only grew in value by about 70% between Obasanjo and Buhari)
Note our revenue will only be enough for 70% of debt servicing nobody will be receiving salaries again, so teachers , policemen, soldiers, Doctors and others will all go home no money to build any roads, hospitals and others the country will become another banana republic of lawlessness and Chaos
if you think you are in pain today what would have come without PBAT reforms especially removal of subsidy would have been amaggedon Gibberish |
