Anonimoux: honestly it's so pathetic. More pathetic is the fact that the government doesn't know that they can make more money. For example.
Everything in Nigeria is working all infrastructure are in place and the average citizen earn let say ₦1,500,000 a month and pay an income tax of kets say ₦150,000 now multiply that by let's say 50 million gainfully emoloyed then multiply the sum by 12 months. That's what the government would have been earning in a year and we wouldn't have been having budget deficit every year.

Sir exactly, necessity but that is to those that uses it and not all Nigerian will use the 2nd Nigeria bridge or the coastal super highway. Costal highway links states with rivers only ( about 7 states) and close to the sea. It has higher level of economic value, it's only a visionary government that can embark on such huge projects. Just imagine bringing the sea to the floor or road side by side. It will help the ports in Nigeria. If am not exaggerating, I can say only Jagaban can do this successfully have successfully initiated and commissioned similar heavy related projects like free trade zone, eko Atlantic, brought dangote refinery to ibeju lekki, it was on record he was super insulted by Lagosian that time, that he was selling inheritance to outsiders for his selfishness, but being a stubborn and focus person he facilitated d development of the corridor but today Lagosians how market?. Litmus: A project to repair 1000 roads offers more opportunity to embezzle money than a project aimed at constructing one single 1000 mile long road. Besides, a legacy project such as the Lagos Calabar road has social values in addition to the economic one.
1) it creates a discussion point
2) it will provide years of content for those that have created work or extra revenue streams for themselves by vloging on social media. Some of these Vlogers are also indirectly going to advertise Nigeria to international investors.
3) it can provide society a sense of progress and optimism. Note how the Lagos Rail project, energised many sections of Nigeria. It excited Nigerians, largely, regardless of tribe or social status. The Lagos transport revolution also empowered the citizens of other states, providing them with direction to channel thire frustrations, which was at thire own state governments.
4) it can, if handled well, provide a sense of inclusivity for all sorts of neglected groups. Gosh!!! See points. Are you that slow? God what kind of ppl did you give me citizenship with? Wahala. 1 Like |

We are in Global Petrodollar System. Thus for naira to gain value, it must be defended with Dollars. Nigeria have the resources to do that abundantly but because your Polithiefcians prefer suppression of the masses, they refuse to keep doing that. They instead opt for Borrowing money we do not need from I.M.F and World Bank. Furthermore, they refuse to make state owned Refineries work which means they prefer what British Royal family via SHELL want for Nigeria to our detriment in view of Value of Naira against Dollar.
Shell, Chevron, Texaco etc. all prefer Nigeria to always import processed Crude Oil. This is why they refuse to Help Nigeria repair our refineries when Invited by President OBJduring His Glorious Regime. And the crop of Polithiefcians we have now prefers that as they choose to Weaponize POOVERTY than paving way for High Standard of living there fellow Country Men and Women-Old and Young.
Nigeria is extremely wealthy to the extent that naira can be made to be at least #1 to $2!!!
However there is a way out for every Common Nigeria via Banks in and Outside Nigeria. Those Banks in Ghana, Benin Republic, Cameroon, Uganda, Tanzania, Egypt Rwanda, Kenya South Africa, Kuwait, Oman, England, China, Russia etc. can all be interconnectedly used to Harvest the thrown away Value of your own Naira. Also, there is now Alternate Dollar or Crypto Dollar that you can use your Naira To Buy on Crypto Centralized Exchanges like Bybit, OKX, etc.

ivandragon: Hmm...
Why are some persons upset when the failings of government is called out especially when the people in government today where the first to criticise the previous people in government.
When dollar was exchanging at 216, BAT and Co harrased and insulted GEJ, organised protests, shut down the country and insulted. Nobody lashed out at them then except for those in government.
So why are some persons on social media suddenly hostile towards criticising the government that has taken it to N1,300? Is this a case of psychological disorder or just a case of being a nuisance on social media?
How can someone take something at N216, which he condemned, to almost N1900 and be behaving as if all is well. When sane Nigerians complained, he brings it down to 1200 and is expecting accolades and some clowns are saying it is an achievement. You destroyed a fine duplex and built a rickety shack and say you have done well. Isn't that madness?
Besides, the history of apc in power has shown they cannot be relied on. That is how the clowns supporting bat today, hailed buhari even when it was glaring that the country was nosediving. Today, that just a fraction of the recklessness of Buhari's government has been exposed, they are introducing tribal sentiments.
If the clowns had being reasonable enough to know that Buhari's government was bad, maybe we could have joined forces to keep them on thier toes and save nigeria from nosediving. Today, sane Nigerians continue to ask for an acceptable level of impactful management, yet, the same touts that supported buhari to brutally damage the common man are again at thier antics of supporting reckless and insincere management of the Economy.
What the economy needs right now is sincerity of purpose. There is nothing wrong if government openly admits it is defending the naira and the extent to which it would do so. This would allow for stability and openess.
Then go after the cabals that create problems. Don't shift the burden to Nigerians.
And to those always praising without thinking, realise that any so called improvement is a farce until the government is able to get things to pre-2015 levels.
In essence, the exchange rate needs to come down to N361 to $1 which would be the equivalent rate they criticised of what it was in 2014 at $1 to N216.
Then we can say they have fixed thier own mess. Anything below that can now earn them fully deserved praise.
Well Said. Abeg ask this Idiots |

Genesis 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Genesis 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: Genesis 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. 1 Like |

People like us kno for a fact that infrastructure is the bedrock of a vibrant economy. Infrastructure is what is making people want to visit Dubai and the likes. If you want a sound economy, you start with longstanding infrastructure. The road might mean nothing to you, but it’s a great way of opening other state’s economy. Good economy should not centre around Lagos and it environs, due to companies not wanting to expand because of our dilapidated road network. With this kind of project , it’s easier to expand company branches an entities along that corridor, thereby increasing job and economic opportunities for coastal regions. More crap and propaganda. |
