First bull run wey you go enter, na vibes and hype go carry you. You go dey chase green candles anyhow, dey buy this and that thinking say e go explode. Before you know, market go turn, everything go crash, and your portfolio go bleed finish. Na here many people lose almost everything because dem no get plan, no get patience, just pure FOMO.

Second bull run come, you don calm small. You don feel pain before, so you no go rush like before. You begin dey learn, you go understand things like market cycles, narratives, when to enter early, and most importantly, when to take profit. You no dey follow crowd blindly again. You go still make mistakes, but this time, you dey more calculated. Na here you dey build real experience.

By the third bull run, na where things dey sweet. You don see the pattern already. You sabi when market dey hot, you sabi when to sit down. You dey enter projects early, you dey avoid useless hype, and you dey secure profit like person wey know wetin e dey do. This na the stage wey people dey actually “make am”, not by luck, but by experience and discipline acquired.

The painful truth be say, most people no reach the third stage. After that first wipeout, dem vex, dem lose hope, dem say crypto na scam, then dem comot. Meanwhile, na the ones wey endure, learn, and stay consistent dey chop the real money later.

So if you dey this space, understand say no be quick money scheme. Na game of patience, lessons, and survival. If you fit last long enough, your time go come.

Depending on the lense you view the market..
From a 4yr cycle perspective we can all say it's a bear market with a top at 126k in October (but what the 4yr cyclist fail to see was that BTC never had any real impulsive move to the upside, the only impulsive move I recall happened right before trump assumed office, with the top coming in when trump was sworn in.. the top in October was more of a slow grind to the upside. No real impulse.. why do market participants want a traditional bear market when we never had a traditional bull market? Do market give extreme price to the downside without there being first an extreme move to the upside? And vice versa?
From a classic Elliot wave perspective with a 5 wave move with wave 1 starting from the lows at 15k.. the recent correction to the downside from 126k was the 4th wave of classic Elliot wave movement with a wave 5 just starting ( I'd say we're in a micro wave 1 move of a macro wave 5 upside)

So either way you look at it the bear market is done or the mid cycle correction is done..


As for alts I'd say after 5 years of bleeding against BTC I expect your statement...
But I don't think a $160b asset class is dead.

I can't believe what I saw on my gt today despite the massive green this week. During red days around last week or so, the loss was massive on a daily, now it is green days, they are adding like 0.01%.

1. Used another person's image to forge an airline ticket.
2. Used same persons image on a billboard in the busiest road in Awka to advertise his product. Same product the reviewers have claimed is defrauding them.

The victim of all these went to the police to make a report (as he lawfully should). But the aggressor declined all invitations at multiple attempts. He was eventually arr3sted and TAKEN TO COURT, where the presiding judge sent him to prison.

Yet, some are spinning it that the victim is the oppressor. Make it make sense.

The moral lesson of this epistle is to start somewhere and build up your risk tolerance.

It is not even only about risk tolerance, there was so much misinformation on the mutual fund thread about equity, which discouraged alot of persons. It got so bad that EquityM/ CSblackpink had to create this thread & thanks to him for creating this thread. If not for this thread, I don't think some of us would be investing in equity by now, even if we have built some level of risk tolerance. Because they painted equity so bad in the mutual fund thread, like a place u just put your money & it is gone the next morning.

For paramount they will process your subscription on Monday if u deposit today, deposits are processed next business day. For zedcrest your subscription will be processed immediately if u deposit before evening. I think interest will start counting from tomorrow.

For GTB equity holders have your profit been updated or GTB equity not on profit today. because with what I'm seeing on my gt portfolio I seems not to understand it.

Gtb & stanbic seems to be in the same WhatsApp group. Both performance have been poor these past few weeks. From next year I'm only focusing on paramount & zedcrest for anything equity.

Equity fund is even cheaper than mmf
Most fund managers only require 1k naira or 1000 units which is less than 2k. I think only zrosk does around 5m, the rest are between 1k to 5k naira.

If it is not big, the 90 days wait is not worth it. The 10% or 20% fee is only on interest & not on your deposit. Stanbic equity was doing really well in February/early March, I really don't know what is responsible for the recent relapse.

On your dashboard, click invest after the save button. Then click mutual fund, u will see all the mutual funds. Equity is last. Top up your wallet before u can invest & u can only invest from tomorrow morning. I think subscription is already closed for the day.

I think paramount was the leading equity fund manager for last year, probably they are going to be leading this year too. Stanbic equity is now almost like savings account. Money market fund better pass stanbic equity now.

bro wanna ask a newbie question ..coming from a crypto back ground I know to set stop losses and remove capital when I 2x to continue playing with house money... but in an equity fund , even if I want to invest say for 5 years ..when the portfolio reaches say 2x in a good stock market run in say 6 months ...how do you lock in that profit so when the market corrects you dont lose say 30 to 40% of your gains already since your using a third party and not directly controlling the trade? or since the goal is long term you just sit back and go with the ebb and flow for the next 5 years through bull and bear ?

Yes equity is best suited for long term, your best approach for this will be trading individual stocks. Individual stocks have faster growth than equity. The two individual stocks I bought since January have almost done x2, that is what most equity will do till the end of the year. The only thing with individual stocks is u need to keep yourself updated if u are trading, unlike equity, u are more relaxed, because u have people trading on your behalf.

Someone complain about this same issue some weeks back with GT fund manager. I have not made any recent deposit to gt. I think u should copy SEC since they are not responding to emails. Since March 30th is 2 weeks already. Name on account number is GT squad right?

I use Gt fund manager & they don't use customer ID, temporary deposit account number is generated for every deposit, no id or narration is required. Stop making s!lly excuse for incompetence here!
