I received alert for my ngxgroup dividend & the amount just dey make me laugh. When I see people shouting dividends on Nigeria stocks it always sound funny to me. If u don't have good millions on any Nigeria stock the dividend is uselesss. Maybe it is different for foreign stocks |

CSblackpink: Most folks should do DCA; it's not advisable to just leave equity all alone without regular top-ups or DCA. Yes, DCA is good, it helps one to take advantage of any dip. |

dammiecool: I'm tired of running between all dis fund managers. I think they are all the same. The ones doing well now will soon show their colour. No need of moving funds from one to another. They all have their green & red days since they don't trade on same stocks. Just spread your funds across different fund managers to balance the gains & loss. |

They’ve little or no choice than dance to US tune. They have become so powerless & helpless ever since this blockade started. |

No wonder Trump refused to lift the blockade after the ceasefire. This blockade is even more effective than bombing them. Iran is losing serious money as a result of this blockade. |

But their withdrawal is fast. Their NG stock wing is affiliated to Cardinal stone & u can buy stocks with as low as 500 naira. Unlike cardinal stone u need certain amount before u can buy stocks. |

auschris: I get what you are saying but this will hold true if all investments reset at the end of each year. I believe the reported YTDs are for reference purposes and can help the prospective investor in choosing a direction. For the investors, what matters is "how much has my money grown by?" You need to understand my comment, there is no time frame to invest in equity, but if u are talking about maximizing your capital, best time is January, because equity is not mmf, it works with unit price & comes with risk. Reason u see investors waiting for Spartacus to come before they buy. If u are buying a unit price for 2 naira this month because the market is bullish & someone is buying a unit for 1.2 naira next month because the market is bearish, u didn't make more money than that person. But someone that entered in January will always have more advantage because they have more units. Most fund managers have already done 50%, bear can come today & what will serve as your buffer is the profit u have made from January till date & by the end of year, u still get to exit with around 50-70% profit. You aren't same with someone investing today & bear is eating into their capital, at the end of the day their prayer is to break even. But that doesn't mean people shouldn't top up, but considering best time to maximize the best out of your capital is January or when there is Spartacus. |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by Bluearrow: 11:51am On Apr 24 |
auschris: The year is barely 1/3 gone. Waiting until January is like betting that the rest of the year is going to be bearish. With individual stocks, one may opt to time their entry based on careful research but with funds, they can take position at anytime in order to take advantage of overall positive performance of the current market. I don't recommend waiting, I bought equity few days ago. I am only responding to his comment "Best time to buy", which still remains January. Most of the equity fund have already done 50%, bear can come at anytime & these guys will struggle to maintain that range. Investing in January makes the best out of your funds when it comes to equity. |

auschris: Why not? Are you suggesting that Zedcrest has hit the limit already? How does this play into the current bull run of the NGX? I'm aware of the relative position of Zedcrest compared to other funds in terms of YTD yields. Right now, the fight for the top is between CSOF and Zedcrest. However, my question has to do with the cut-off period to subscribe to benefit from the expected gains for today. No @bold, I only meant they are performing extremely well. I really don't know how the daily gains are calculated, if u get in before 12pm, maybe it will count for the day. |

Since I have been able to withdraw funds from Stanbic anyhow I want it
I just decided to try withdrawal from gtfund twice this week and both were canceled I dont know why, my withdraw account is opay that has been approved , could that be the reason? Cos I don't have a gt account Maybe u should try any other commercial bank like first bank, uba etc it must not be gtb. |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by Bluearrow: 8:55am On Apr 23 |
BelieverDE: When EquityM was advising I invest with CS I didn't listen; now see me stuck with Stanbic at 39 %, while CS is 54% Stanbic will pump too, I have been there before. Around February/March I wanted to move all my funds from CS to Stanbic because CS was performing badly. I moved part to quantum zenith & left part. Today CS is doing great & Stanbic is slow. Imagine if I had moved all of my funds to stanbic because it was doing better. My advice is regardless of the amount u have, ensure u spread your funds across at least 3 fund managers for equity. That way u can balance the loss & gains. |

Elui2: Hello all. From my research so far, I understood that equity growth is recorded over a year period say from 1st January to 31st December.(YTD)
Let's say an equity YTD for 2025 was 45% and one invested 100k beginning of the year and ended with 145k.
If it's starts from 1% 1st Jan 2026 what happens to the 145k from the previous year?
Is that 145k reinvested at 1% profit in the new year? Yes, your 100k investment has made a profit if 145k for the previous year. |

DoctorShomo: I still can't believe I supported Trump for president.
That guy is a modafuckin' idiat!
From the launch of his coin and subsequent manipulation of the market by his son to his careless comments which cause disruptions in the markets to starting a stupid war in the middle east which has caused more chaos in crypto, forex and commodities markets...
That guy is just bad news You are very correct! I have already concluded this cryptto market can only reset after Trump leave power in 2028. The man is bad luck to global economy. Too erratic to lead a country like US. Reason I laugh at those still hoping on clarity act. Even if Trump signs that bill today, he will still crash the market with his unstable behavior. The only time I believe we will have a proper bull run like 2021 is 2028 when Trump leaves office. Until then I don't see anything reasonable happening in this market till Trump leave office. |
