Having a totally anonymous username that cant be linked to you in anyway just so you can post whatever you like, whenever you like 3. Liking and sharing your own posts with your other usernames 4. boosting your one post with another of your username 5. begging for likes by typing popular opinions and asking people to like if they agree Truthfully I'm only guilty of 2 and 5 Click like if you are guilty of any of the above |

simplex2: Wow! Nice thread. There are loads of issues we can discuss in-house. Was thinking of starting a thread about certain things but decided against it; since the obvious religious felas will invade it with their fanaticism.
This is the first issue bugging me: My girlfrnd. We've dated for yrs now and we're planning on getting married next year. But one thing has always lingered in my mind: religion! I'm agnostic but she is a devout christian. We started dating long time ago when I was still a christian; but after my mum's death, I realized all the promise of ask and it shall be given were false. That was the spark to my quest for answers: and I discovered I've been lied to ALL MY FVCKING LIFE!
I was supposed to see her parents this xmas but I developed cold feet and called it off. I'm yet to tell her I've left religion; she's yet to understand why I backed-off. Don't get me wrong, we love each other like mad! This is our 4th year dating. I do love her but the issue of spending the rest of your life with someone of contrasting believe scares the shit out of me; what happens to the children? What if she believes she can rope me in and then turns to a nag thereafter? I know I should tell her, but I'm still scared of loosing her. I wouldn't want her dumping her religion because of me so its kind of complicated.
What do you guys think? Just tell her first and go from there. I got married before I came to full, realisation of who I am,and what I,want for myself and my,children. I'm taking it one day at a time. I go to,church but for me its like going to the movies, it only possesses entertainment values to me. And I have very opposing values from my husband but we always, work things out one way,or the other. So if your love for her is real...believe me, you will find a way...goodluck |

Romance › Re: No, We're Not All Pea Brained Whores. by bluedaze(f): 5:14pm On Feb 18, 2015 |
Kimmo: This post is directed to people whose opinions of Nigerian women/ladies have been colored by the incessant threads that do nothing more than make the ladies look like complete idiots who spend their time thinking up new ways to cheat their men. No, we're not all pea brained whores.
When I first joined Nairaland, it either was a more mature forum or posters just thought hard about what they typed online before they did.
I just read another thread about the things girls get up to in NYSC camp and I decided to create this thread to correct attempt to correct a few impressions.
A -- Believe it or not, ladies can think for themselves and are very capable of saying NO to men who want to get laid. We have to do that a lot of the time.
B -- Some of us make the effort to earn our own money via legal means and not depend on the men in our lives.
C -- A good number of women actually stay faithful to their men throughout the course of their relationship.
D -- Several ladies spend their NYSC year, not just 3-week camp celibate.
While there are girls who deserve every bad impression bandied about on NL, there are others who live their lives the best way they can, work hard, pay their own way, and do not automatically fall on their backs because some guy asked them to! LOL! Like seriously, you felt the need to do this? You just made yourself a target for all the pea brained idiot males on nairaland...evidence nebucad ...obong...dont worry, they'll all show themselves real soon |

Family › Re: Was I Wrong Handling My Niece? by bluedaze(f): 2:35pm On Jan 13, 2015 |
allycat: My post may be long just bear with me. I have a 12 year old niece who lived with me for 3 years until August last year. Her dad was a distant relative of mine who died some years back and I got to hear that the mum was struggling with 4 kids and not coping so had resorted to sharing her amongst relatives. So I took in this child then aged 8. She was not a house help. I have a set of twins who are still young and my job is unpredictable so I have always had a minimum of 2 househelps, adults paid more than minimum wage. She was in a private school, the kind where they do ballet lessons and learn to play the sax. We had our own share of spats in the house some I believe she was acting her age and some I believe we're as a result of earlier exposure to things like sex. But generally I thought all was well. This was until I came across her diary in May where she wrote about not feeling like part of the family and regretting the fact that she couldnt remember anything about her father, her mother or even her younger sisters name. I felt really bad for her and a bit upset myself. I then made sure she got admission into a school close to her mother and during the long vacation moved her back to her mums place. I am totally responsible for her upkeep, fees, allowances and all. She spent part of her Christmas holiday with me and will continue to spend some vacations with me. However I can't help feeling like I have abandoned her somehow. Had I known what I do now, when I heard of her mothers plight I would have looked for a bulk sum and given the mother to help her business and chipped in whenever I could. But now I feel like I have disrupted her life somewhat. In my house as the only girl she had her own room, she was allowed a phone and a tablet during holidays and I tried as much as possible to give her the best I could afford. Now her mum is complaining that she complains of everything, her mums house, the neighbors, her sisters accent, the food they eat, the lack of some forms of entertainment she was used too and her Mum is getting frustrated with her. My husband is of no help he just says she is your niece do anything you want I will support you. I think this Isthe best for her to grow with her mum, but I can't stop wondering if returning her to her mum is the right thing to do. Let her stay with her mum and continue to support them just like you are doing. The things she is complaining of are material things. She should learn to appreciate the kind of life her siblings live. But you also need to talk to her about the diary you read... |
Family › Re: Best Way To Divorce Or Get Rid Of My Wife by bluedaze(f): 8:31am On Jan 08, 2015 |
We got married late last year after 3 months courtship. I saw her in a dream before I met her physically so I was sure that it was all God. To the glory of God we have a very handsome son that is less than a month. To say I regret that move is an understatement. I have been praying for her to cheat on me. I went to even do a DNA test on our son but result affirms I am the father. She just orritates me as she lacks talking manners, she is a spendthrift, cannot think on her own, very dependent on others inshort she is spoilt in all ramifications. She is nt even pretty and I wonder what the hell i was thinking when I proposed to her. To tell you how much I loathe her, I refused sending her abroad for the delivery of our son in the hope that she may die during child birth since she have very low tolerance for pain (God forgive me). But as it turned out, my desire was not granted. I am really tired of the marriage as I just loathe her the more on a daily basis. I cheat on her with reckless abandon and really don't care if I am caught. I really need advise on what to do. I must admit she is putting in a lot of efforts to please me and she adores me but sometimes I am so irritated that I just want to hop into a plane and jet off to another continent and never return. I have even thought of arranging a lady to claim we have a child together so that my wife will divorce me. Please, if you have a good idea, do let me know. coward, in case you are still reading this, just man up and divorce the woman already. Stop being such a biitch biiko! |

Nairaland General › Re: My Ordeal With Nigeria Immigration Officers by bluedaze(f): 11:46am On Dec 30, 2014 |
Fadelex: sorry for the way you're treated, this is a common practice in Nigeria. most of my colleagues do this, I was forcefully transferred when I stood my ground against it in maiduguri, I've fined a foreigner b4 because he doesn't have papers but I've never collected a dime from a proven Nigerian, I always advice people to move around with a means of identification because of the peculiar situation we found ourselves. I know someone will ask y I should collect money from illegal immigrants. 1. when you arrest them, there's no logistics on ground to repatriate them. 2. when u eventually take dem to office, d boss will collect d money and release them. 3. most of them are purely for business purpose, so y not allow dem to do their biz and leave.
next time, tell such officers that you're not parting with a dime in ur own country, demand to speak to a superior officer and make dem interrogate you. speak out, don't keep quiet. no-one should be extorted in his/her country i like some parts of your comments and dont like other parts. You said you fined, but if the money entered into your pockets then it means you took bribe, not "fined" as you delicately put it. Where could possibly be worse than maiduguri? and finally there are no half measures, if you dont do it to nigerians, then dont do it to foreigners, arrest them anyway and let all the other logistics you mentioned be someone else's headache. btw, why are immigration officers armed? inside the country and not at the border.....na wa oooooo |
