I almost died this afternoon,no I wasn't involved in an accident neither did I mistakenly ingest poison, so what almost took my life you may ask.

No light for the passed how many weeks,even when they manage to restore power,it would be at odd hours(sorry minutes because the light no dey reach hour), no one would be at home to enjoy the light.

Back to my near death experience,I took my bath after doing my chores this morning,dressed up and drove out in search of fuel (for Pete's sake,it saturday,person suppose flex light even if na small). I visited all the filling stations I know, No fuel, the ones I don't know nko? No fuel.

I drove back home,dejected and disappointed,the look on my kids face totally killed me.
I felt like hitting my head on the wall,I hate disappointing my kids.
Chei! Which kind wahala be dis?

"Abeg,cari these young men,make una go swim"I instructed,throwing the car keys and some money at him

He was overjoyed and showed it by busting a move

Three of them kissed me goodbye,soon the house was quiet,I was left alone and that was my greatest undoing.

I glance round the whole room,nobody!

"Ha! I reject it in Jesus name"I shouted,swinging my hand over my head and clicking my thumb and middle finger at the back(the 'God forbid' sign)

"Oya Irene stand up,stand up,the devil and his agents are liars,stand up!"I spoke to my spirit man,my flesh was obviously weak.

I got up,took a long shower,without towelling my body,I wore a bum short,a bra and carried my mattress to the cashew tree in my compound.

Thunder fire heat,frustration and fuel scarcity.
