Music/RadioRe: Rock Music Is Satanic? by bluespice(f): 10:51am On Aug 30, 2009
tunjitsu:
Oh dear me, I guess its pretty obvious to everyone now that the satanic "rock music" picture that was bandied around the churches and schools in the mid to late nineties here in nigeria was a sad, sad, sad period in our entertainment history. Its the major cause for the stupid blight of "hiphop and r&b" music that we so readily claim is "african"(?).

Wake up and smell the coffee.

King Sunny Ade was described as a rocker in his time. cheesy

Most gospel music is rock music. what should that tell you? Or are u suggesting that the instant you add "jesus" to your lyrics, the whole genre instantly becomes sanctified for that particular song alone?

Expressing an opinion does not change the fact that such an opinion could be founded on wrong assumptions, so that is not an excuse (no offense intended O, lol).

anyway, thanks for the post though, as it goes to show just how many nigerians have broken free from the oppression of our misguided, xenophobic, illiterate and unfortunate miseducation on music in general.

Viva la rock.

Oh yeah!, and before you claim that gospel rock is not "the type of rock you are talkin about", i suggest you do some research, and listen to flyleaf, avenge 7 fold, three days grace, and other gospel rock bands, and you'll see what i mean.
sorry man, i was with u until u said the highlighted bits
im a huge a7x fan and i tell u they ARE NOT in anyway gospel

rave, the C in  LMCAO stands for cute wink
chiogo, lol i didnt tell my folks i just stalled tongue
and yeah i did wild out in my first 2 yrs of college lol im still a party animal i better accept it tongue
rave, i dont neccesarily think about happiness, i do have intense emotions some might call happiness, joy, anger, whatever u wanna call em
happiness might be that giddy feeling we all write and read about, but to me, its that feel-good ummph i get that makes me smile (even for a short while) like a fool.
again i'm rambling. . .
let me try to explain what i mean,
people generally have emotions,
a few have their emotions transcend the metaphysical into things they can actually see
another few display their emotions in exaggerated ways that we term a display of passion
whatever has the power to create this display of passion must have a value to the person displaying . . .
hence, when people display exactly how they feel in whichever mode they feel aptly makes for the full expression, i believe they must have a sense of satisfaction and release if u will,.
okay i know i lost u a long time ago,
happiness is the feeling generated from an intense display/feeling of (an) emotion(s).
It's forcing the 'accepted' definition of happiness into a cart wheel, but u asked for my definition. . .
FashionRe: Hair Questions! Post Them Here by bluespice(f): 1:57am On Aug 30, 2009
laniks, u said this
If you want to moisturise daily then sealing the tips before you go to bed is your best bet if your hair is not in any 'protective style'. Then deep condition every week , very important

some people also have spray bottle of honey in water or a light oil or conditioner that they spray unto their hair during the day
but i wanted to know what quantity of honey and water to use, conditioner n water/oil
i guess all im asking is what are the measurements for this spraying bit?

rave i honestly still cant believe u remembered my programme!
this even feels better than when i screamed like the ultimate groupie when i saw omarion on tv yesterday tongue
and y'all think your weird? well, i listen to metal, so think about the looks i get when people yank my ear phones out n the uber loud 'brain banter' (oooh i just heard this n i love it! ) comes pouring out in waves tongue

chiogo, i can bet u ive read more than people my age a reason i dont tell people my age initially is cos i so hate to be judged by what i supposedly am rather than what and who i really am. i did indeed go to college shoot! im in my 3rd year already  cheesy and i still got a lot of reading left in me
know what would be my dream? if there could be a course or program that incorporated all my passions and loves i know it culdnt ever exist seeing as i'm just too weird that weird looks normal around me, but what a thought that would be. . . .

as to your question rave, im sure im a bigger hedonist tongue as much as i have the utmost disgust for many things, i believe i should do only things that make me happy and cause me pleasure.
i once asked on facebook why i never had a long lost aunt who dies n willed her estate to me with no catch, majority of my friends laughed at me but i really want that to happen. my journies around have spoiled me or wired me silly (whichever floats your gondola) i cant stay in a place for long so ill travel the whole world AND still do what it is i do. sure life would be a whole lot easier and better but il do what i do.
i want to own something that i built with my own hands. i want to climb that ladder n seat at the highest rung and know i have money (yes i love money tell me who doesnt) and i derived satisfaction getting that money

FoodRe: White Bread Vs Brown Bread by bluespice(f): 6:44am On Aug 29, 2009
4spade, ill really love to hear of wherever white bread was better than brown bread

ibk, as a child i went to school with packed lunch, oneday i forgot my lunch which was brown bread n fried eggs in my bag n attempted to eat it after school, needless to say, it tasted horrible.
i vowed to avoid it for the rest of my life but as an adult (that feels weird b.t.w saying it), ive gotta say, apart from its being the more healthy option it actually does taste good. wink

raven i see ur work wink
heya err one else sorry im quite lazy rite now been blogging for 6 hrs str8

okay. . . my thoughts

well, grew up around different crowds at different times cos i was always moving from place to place, so i never really in the true sense of the word had a 'normal' childhood. i mean my relating with 'other' people made me realise i was quite odd and endlessly weird. I settled down for the 6 yrs of secondary school and went full out to be 'normal' listening to hard core rap, trying to talk 'normal', learning pidgin in my final class, doing the whole girly bidness, well, u know the whole 9. Funny enough my efforts never seemed to pan out into the scheme of things, i mean i went thru pretty much the kid with a constant question mark hovering over her head.
gap year was awesome i spent it prett much around friends n travelling actually i had 2 years as my gap year, by the second year i refused to go to college, stalled on my application processes, lied to my folks, did everything i could do to avoid college i guess in my lil world, i was trying to avoid the inevitable.

To be continued

illd assume u mean which is the more healthy option
so ill rank them as i think they should be
fish (depends on the type, other the omega3's u get care good. . .)
snail (i think snail n fish are on the same level)
turkey (smoked i'll assume)
chicken (without the skin n ur gravy)
beef( cos its red meat)
pork (well, cos its got loads of fat but without the fat, its the same level as beef IMO)
