To eradicate BH in areas influence is not rocket science. Just follow the template of the US army and it's conduct during the guerilla war in Vietnam. Fire patrol teams at different forward operation bases with patrol areas overlapping each other inside enemy held areas, these fire patrol teams should come complete with medics, medevac, comms, air support when called in and C-rations for the men and officers who will be in the bush for weeks on tour. If every Nigerian soldier does at least two tours of three months per shift then the whole might of the Nigerian security infrastructure would see action and smash BH once and for all.
The Nigerian security architecture knows this. They have the resources and the strategy but ogas are making money from the sad situation

What is the secondary gain of these attacks ? There has to be an associated monetary gain, they are not opening fire to steal yam and rice !

Who sponsors these attacks ?

Where do these people come from ?

If government is paying traditional rulers salary....they should use that network as a resource to gather intelligence on who are the troublemakers in the locality. Every small community has a leader, even if its just 20 people in that community, talk to these people through delegates.

I still believed we are not attacked by spirits, these people eat, commute, marry, have children, have in-laws, they dont live in the bush on trees. They live within our midst.

Tighten up the rules, Its going to be a long tough fight.
Yet we have NIA, DIA,DSS, Force intelligence Bureau and sponsors behind this barbaric acts cannot be unravelled. SMH

Nairaland / General / Re: Is It Too Late To Know How To Do This As A Young Man Like Me? by Bluffly: 10:47am On Mar 09
Drella:
Hello people.
I'm in my early twenties in a tertiary institution. I am this gentle guy that is mostly quiet.
I noticed that there are many financially okay guys as young as I am that are doing well unlike me. Now, I'm talking about the ones hustling legitimately.

I also want to be okay financially, but they tend to share information only with those they are close to.
There were updates about Arbitraging, Web 3 airdrop and testnet stuff that I only got to hear when it was too late.
I talk to these guys, roll with them, but they never see me as close enough to carry me along.

Even for those freelancing, they know techniques to get orders fast and constantly but will not share with me. One said I should bring 250k when I'm ready to start freelancing. I don't even have 50k in my name.
Whenever I tell them to "show me way" knowing they do legit stuffs, they tell me they too are looking for way.

Growing up, I was restricted so I suck at making friends and socializing. I have been trying to get better since I left secondary school but my social skills barely improved.

I researched online on my own to get updates but many were scam, overpriced classes/courses e.t.c. Though I have picked up a skill to learn but before I get good and start earning, I'll need sustenance.

Is it too late to improve my social skills in my early twenties? If no, how?
How can I move from just acquaintances to a friend that can be carried along in important things?
You are in your early twenties and your are asking if it is too late. Don't worry it is too late already

Romance / Re: She Took My Number And Now Claims To Be In A "Serious Relationship" by Bluffly: 11:01am On Mar 08
DorianD:
There's this pretty lady I have been crushing on. We are both students of a Nursing college, although she's my junior (first year). Shes got the Mercedes Bends, a likeable personality, and seemed like someone I would really want something serious with for the long haul.

Just about the day I planned on getting her number to let her know my intentions, to my greatest shock she asked for mine, and questioned why I wasn't in school the previous day. This thicked all the boxes for me and felt like "the green light" was on, for a lady who wasn't in my cohort to notice my absence from school. Note that we have been acquaintances before this time, because I do engage her class in after school tutorial sessions.

To my greatest shock, she told me she's in a serious relationship, which got me confused. I have a feeling she's trying to play the "I am not unemployed card". I could press on, but dont want to be seen as a creep or stalker, so then I told her if we could just be friends as I already exposed my vulnerabilities, which she agreed.

Well it's not in my thing to be friend zoned so i discontinued my chats with her, but each time she notices my silence was becoming long, she would initiate a conversation on WhatsApp. I really can't wrap my head around this.

Do I just cut her off as fish plenty for water, or keep up with her games?
Tell her your intentions and ask she be sincere with you instead of living in limp mode

Crime / Re: Police Officer Hiding During Kogi Bank Robbery (video) by Bluffly: 9:52am On Mar 08
GistMedia0:
In a daring and brazen attack, a group of notorious armed robbers struck two commercial banks in Anyingba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, today, Thursday, March 7th. The robbers, armed to the teeth, stormed the banks, sending civilians and bank staff into a panic as they shot sporadically into the air.

However, shocking footage has emerged showing a police officer hiding behind a fence wall during the chaos of the robbery. The video, captured by a bystander, shows the officer crouched down, seemingly unable to confront the armed assailants.

Why won't he hide. He is outnumbered and there is no backup. That is what he must do

As long as it is NURTW CSR initiative, it is welcomed. My stand is whoever that is found wanting for criminal activity should be arrested and prosecuted according but some dimwit police officers will take this kind of initiative as personal support and will start patronising and worshiping a criminal donor.
We have a long way to go in being humans

Some people will say mind your business, but the truth is that she did the right thing no matter the outcome.

In fact, this particular outcome is a result of the flawed system we have in Nigeria where you need some form of documentation before stabilizing a patient.

You may be healthy today, but you don't know tomorrow. Imagine you needed emergency medical help, I'm sure you wouldn't want people to mind their business and leave you to die.
Don't be fooled. Try it in the UK and see for yourself. Without cameras everywhere, justice can't be served.
