I had this same problem with my Honda Civic. Got so bad that I developed PTSD driving the car. I spent all my money changing fan belts and dropping engine. When I couldn't take it anymore, I sold the car. It was so painful. Overall, the car is a beauty on and off the road. Fantastic interior but terrible fan belt issue.
Nothing like fan belt. Drive belts which could be a single serptentine belt or multiple belt, timming belt or chain are what we have.
Car Talk / Re: How I Was Able To Stop "Belt Cutting" Wahala In My Honda Civic by Bluffly: 8:17pm On Jan 12
AbelAbdul:
Guys, I almost sold my Honda Civic because of belt. I have spent close to or over 200k because of belt. Gone to different mechanics.
Most of the times when the belt cuts the adjuster bolt will break inside the engine. I will need to drop the engine then get the service of a blacksmith.

They said buy original belt, I bought. Buy new adjuster I bought. Change your pulleys I did but belt was still cutting.

How I solved the problem.

I met a mechanic who discovered that the belt was wrongly fixed.
He told me to buy Belgium belt size 2160.

Before I have been using size 2130.

I bought the Belgium belt 2160 gave it to him you fixed it in the proper way.

I have been driving for two months now I have not experienced any cutting.
DIY must be encouraged in Nigeria as it will go a long way in stemming knowledge mining a.k.a research.
Drive belt must not be too tight not loose.

Family / Re: Please How Do I Handle This With My Wife And Her Brother. by Bluffly: 4:42pm On Jan 10
Freethought:
My wife loves the comfort that comes with a car(i mean, who wouldn't) , she talks about it everytime. Last year, i made some savings and decided to get a car buh unfortunately, with the help of a trusted mechanic, i made a bad buy which i sold at a loss shortly after i bought it.

This morning , my wife told me her younger brother wants to get her a car and she told him she has 1.5 million naira ready (she was asked dou). The guy promised to get the car for her this weekend as long as the 1.5 million is readily available.

Now my issue is, this 1.5 million she told her brother she has is the money i got from the sale of my bad purchased car. The boy did not know the source of the money and probably think his sister actually have 1.5m to add to what he has to get the car.

I really do not know what to do rn cos i know getting the car will make her very happy and i do not want to hinder that, but I'm not really comfortable with the whole arrangement. I really don't know what to do.

The car he wants to get, according to my wife is valued at 5m.

Learn to always come real in life. Which one is to make her happy. Car brings comfort at the same time it is a liability. Will she be the one maintaining it.
My friend, explain the situation and make una no dey do any how.

Why not? because they keep roaming up and down, causing public nuisance, making themselves vulnerable to cattle rustlers and using their cows to kill and seize lands.

Well I don't see anything wrong with stating the tribe of a person who did wrong, the only issue is insulting and demeaning a whole tribe because of an individual's offence, so pls be specific.

Also, we are yet to see your stance on Anti female, insultive, degrading comments and threads, because if you notice, most male tend to term women generally for the offence of one, and as a result of that, most of us rarely comment like before, pls look into it.
Stop crying. Females do the same for males.

Kobojunkie:
A mother could equally ask at what age should mothers stop bathing their boys, and you get an idea of what the issue really should be. When doing things for your kids, you do it to teach then them how to do it for themselves eventually. The child should be able to let you know when he/she can do it for herself when that time comes, or at least that she would like to try it for herself then. lipsrsealed

This is what PBAT should look into. All regulatory agencies increasing charges and introducing new ones unscrupulously should be looked into. Customs, NNPCL, Quarantine, etc should be looked into. Their actions are increasing prices of goods and commodities.

Nothing like that. As long as Sim has challenged him, speak up against him, he can never be in charge. What he has left is hanky panky.
I do not know how some people reason. You all are expecting a sitting governor to cave in? Haba. Wike himself knows that is a dream. Did Wike cave in for his own benefactor?.

Those soldiers are not even responding because of the media. If those three should respond they will die but will take 27 raise to power seven from FRSC along.
