CelebritiesRe: There Is A Quest To Islamize Nigeria And It Is Happening Slowly - Verydarkman by Bluna:
What VDM said there is true to an extent.

I remember when I was growing up in the 80s, there were only 2 mosques in the entire city I lived. The old central mosque was just a small building that couldn't accommodate more than 100 people. Later they built the new central mosque which was just a little bigger than the old. Only few people worshipped there because Muslim population was very very low.

Fast forward to today, mosques are now scattered everywhere in my city; there are at least 2 mosques in each street. In fact, they are now competing with churches in their numbers. That's not my worry though (I'm not against the spread of Islam), my worry is that those mosques are mostly occupied and used by the northerners, not the indigenous people.
Sports2026 World Cup: Iraqi Striker Detained For Seven Hours At Chicago Airport by Bluna(op): 7:59pm On Jun 06
Iraqi national team striker Aymen Hussein was detained for about seven hours by U.S. border officials at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. The detention occurred as the Iraqi squad arrived in the United States for the 2026 World Cup.

Hussein was held for approximately seven hours while undergoing routine security screening and background checks. He was eventually cleared to enter the U.S. and rejoined his teammates to prepare for the tournament.

According to Kora Plus, several other Iraqi players experienced shorter entry delays of one to two hours, while the team’s photographer was denied entry following a phone inspection.

Merdhas Doski, who was held and questioned for approximately two hours. Zidane Iqbal, Youssef Amyn, Ibrahim Bayesh, Fahad Talib, Zaid Tahseen, and Hussein Ali, all of whom were detained for roughly one hour before being cleared.

Despite the rolling administrative delays at the airport, the entire group of players has successfully entered the United States.

The team is expected to move forward with their scheduled itinerary as football officials breathe a sigh of relief that the operational hiccup was resolved without further incident.

The Iraqi Olympic Committee reported no immediate statements from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or the Department of Homeland Security regarding the interrogation.

This incident comes as Iraq prepares for their World Cup return after 40 years, set to play against France, Senegal, and Norway.

You are the one that is ignorant. Because if you are not ignorant you won't be asking for just intelligence gathering alone.

We are saying the states should be made to be able to solve crime cases themselves. Not waiting alone for the FG. And if need be,they can call on the FG. Even countries collaborate.

But instead of empowering states to be able to fund its own security because security is local. Have a stand by and efficient police force. I mean the budget of new York state police budget is bigger than the entire budget of Nigeria.

But instead of calling for that, you ignorant person is asking that they should only be able to do intelligence gathering while they will still have to call on the federal police that is inefficient before they can do anything.

Don't you see you ignorance is raise to power 100?

Abegi
Whether you like it or not, nobody will hand over the entire security apparatus to any state governor. Your advice is very worthless and inconsequential. You are on your own. Continue to be delusional

It is you that is ignorant. Very very ignorant. Because if you are not you will know New York doesn't wait for the FBI before storming a crime scene because they have an NYPD.

That US doesn't have an inspector General of police who policies the entire nation where a commissioner of police reports to

You my friend is the G.O.A.T of ignorance and the greatest ignorant person I have ever seen on this forum

You can keep on talking to yourself
You are trying to change the narrative. Stick to your initial argument. You said entire security apparatus of a state should be handed over to governors. Nobody does that; not even in the United States. And I insist you are ignorant. You don't have to agree with me. It is just a fact. You are very very ignorant. Bye

I said "nothing concern us with intelligence gathering ALONE". That is exactly what I'm saying

What is the essence of intelligence gathering alone when you can't go and capture them or storm their hideout without still waiting for federal police that will still wait to hear from Abuja

We are asking let the security of lives and properties be handed over to the Govornor 100percent. He can purchase whatever he wants for his state in terms of security of lives and properties. Is that not how it is done in Europe and America

Why is that hard to do? Why?

Instead of that you dey talk English

Nonsense
And I say you are ignorant. Security has nothing to do with your emotions. You are sounding too emotional. Nowhere in the world the entire security of a state is handed over to governors. It is rather a collaborative efforts involving community, state and federal security agencies. Learn and stop arguing blindly.

Nothing concern us with intelligence gathering alone. Even in the US intelligence fails. We are saying the security of lives and properties of a state should be placed directly in the hands of the Govornor where he will be able to invest in security and order his police anywhere and anyhow to safe the lives of his residents

And if they want to pass it into law this month, the FG can do it and not all these dilly dally..
Your opinion about intelligence gathering tells a lot about your ignorance. FBI, CIA, KGB and many others are intelligence agencies. You don't always have to carry bombs and guns before you fight criminals. Intelligence is very very crucial. It is the bedrock of antiterrorism operations.

Even if their function is restricted to intelligence gathering only (to start with), it will still go a long way in curbing insecurities. The laws can be amended later to broaden their functions and permit them to use sophisticated weapons. Amotekun in the southwest is already a good benchmark for state policing. Let's take it up from there.

Many years ago I was in a queue inside bank. A guy wanted to withdraw 800k but he did not know how to spell the amount. He asked me to help him fill the teller. He had already filled other parts except where he will write the amount in words. Another guy beside us was trying to make jest of him, saying "ordinary 800k he can't spell, his handwriting is very funny, how did he make money? blah blah blah.."

I took a peep at his own teller, I saw 5k. I just hissed and look away. I will rather respect someone who knows how to make money than the one who can only spell money.
