You just exposed yourself as an indomie kid. Tinubu became a senator in 1992, the presidential candidates in 1992 were Olu Falae (SDP) vs Yaradua (NRC). MKO did not contest for presidency until June 12 1993. You know nothing about political history of Nigeria in the 90s. Ask your parents to give you details.

We should not misinterpret Awolowo. He was not telling the rich to train children of the poor, he was rather addressing fellow politicians by laying emphasis on the importance of free education which he introduced during his time as the premier of western region. During Awolowo's time, there was no specific school for the rich or the poor, children of both the rich and the poor attend the same school, sat together in the same class and acquired the same quality education for free.

But today, quality education has become too expensive for the poor to acquire. The rich send their children abroad to study while the poor attend dilapidated schools. This is very dangerous for everybody, most especially the rich.

Unfortunately, Nigeria is still running around the same circle, over and over again. Just as it happened in 2023, religion sentiment is playing out again in this coming election. Even the so-called clergymen are as guilty of playing dirty politics as the politicians they condemn. I see no difference in any of the two.

I've said it on the other thread that came up few days ago that Rivers State people are always the biggest loser. With all the brags they always make about their ruggedity, just one man alone, Wike, is controlling every Tom, Dick and Harry in that state.

Some private schools award outrageous marks and grades anyhow; just to please the parents and make them feel happy. The best way to know if your girl is academically lazy or not is to reassess her by yourself, using the same question papers they gave her at school. Schools normally attach all examination scripts of their pupils with the report sheet. If they did not attach it to yours, ask for it and reassess your kid by yourself.
