Hello house Please has anybody been involved with building an estate preferably in Abuja? I will appreciate if anyone has rough idea of the estimate of building infrastructure to high, medium and low level in Abuja (flat land) on a one hectare, two-hectare and three hectare land. Details will be appreciated but not compulsory. Kind regards |
plz, whoever can insert this video should help. Thnks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKFugpr4EH0&NR=1 |
Death sentence should be retained and enforced for anyone convicted of mismanagement of public fund. Until corruption is completely phased out of our polity and institutions, nothing whatsoever will work in Nigeria. |
@Justgood, i observed your tense. You "knew" him as a gentleman just as Lucifa was an angel |
I am discussing with a Chinese coy in importing solar panel for some property developers in Nigeria. I also wish to supply to other interested buyers. I wil apreciate your update on progress made in your research so that i wil work more with nigerians, but that is after I'v seen their previous jobs. |
I look forward to the day our movie industry will come of age to act some of these events that 'reshaped' Nigeria without being hunted. We need more of this investigative journalism as we need investigative movie industry |
A-town:UK is a different place my dear except you are a citizen. I personally detest working for people,''all paid jobs absorb and degrade the mind''. While I was registering a company in UK, I found out that except you are a citizen, you can not run a coy in UK except if you have £200k capital, I had to make my brother in-law who happens to be a citizen a borad member. If I break down my wage and bills here, you will understand why UK is not a 'land of opportunities'' like US. I can categorically tell you that a £22,000/annum earner goes home monthly with about £1250 with average monthly bill of £600-£800 and personal monthly upkeep of £100-£200. A £32,000/annum earner goes home with the average of £1700. I think Nigeria needs me more than any country. There is a big gap in service delivery, utilities, in Nigeria and that happens to be my field and am going back to put in my best. |
gentlegg:Good question but have you ever wondered what America would have been if the likes of George Washington ran away for better life in Britain in the eighteenth century. The democracy enjoyed by China today was fought by their citizens inclusive of students movements who stood their grounds even as their colleagues were killed in cold blood. The China of 20years ago was worst than Nigeria of today in terms of the impact of public opinion, yet, their fight was fruitful. why cant we do the same? America and Europe were not created with the ''21 questions'' provided in abundance, their citizens, like you and I, provided them. We must desist from these our negative notions and think positive about the country. If I may add, if you know you have not gone out of your way, your normal life, to add value or contribute to Nigerian growth, maybe by giving scholarships and/or buying new cloth for orphans, providing borehole to communities, teaching/lecturing in schools for free, then you should keep your complaints to yourself as you are not different from the political class who do not have the interest of Nigeria at heart rather their own selfish interest |
The recent suspension of the General Managing Director of Transcorp by the board of Governors comes out of the play book of Vice President, Jonathan's plot to take over NITEL. As previously reported by Ukpakareports.com, the Presidency had acted to settle Goodluck Jonathan since he (Jonathan) had been relegated to the back burner of the “loot sharing bonanza” in the Yar'dua presidency . This is as Tanimu, the Economic Adviser to the President, had been settled with the control over Nigerians Power Holding Corporation (PHCN) and Nigeria Railway Corporation. For being a good sport and a team player, over the JTF invasion of the Niger Delta, the vice President is said to receive NITEL as a reward. But Jonathan’s move to assume control of National Telecommunication entity has not gone smoothly as observers of the unfolding crisis have attested. Jonathan originally had sought the support of the former GMD of Transcorp to enable his smooth takeover of the cooperation. But the GMD, harboriing his own iinterest to take over NITEL did not comply. And so began his troubles with the SSS and the EFCC. The Vice President’s plot, as sources indicate, entails assembling a group of foreign investors (often fake and fictitious) that would be presented as potential investors into NITEL and/ buyers of the corporation. Upon presentation, Jonathan and his group of investors and friends would make what appears to resemble an offer. And the interesting aspect of the plot is the sourcing of the fund to purchase the corporation. As the source told our investigators, the Presidency is expected to transfer the purchase amount from the national account into that of Transcorp - thus signifying a purchase. And with this, Goodluck and his group of investors would become the benefactors of the looting bonanza. In the meantime, the removed/suspended GMD of Transcorp who is said to be suffering from his refusal to play ball with Goodluck Jonathan is exacerbated by his sordid relationship with the former Managing Director of NITEL, Kelvin Carruso. Kevin Carruso was once a partner to the GMD of Transcorp until he fell out with the GMD owing to shady financial dealings between the two. Kelvin Carruso who was armed with a wealth of dirty information on the GMD, upped and pitched his tent with the Goodluck Jonathan team particularly because the GMD [Thomas Iseghohi] had engineered his suspension from NITEL. Through this effect, Mr. Carruso began spilling the beans on this secret dealings of Thomas Iseghohi to Jonathan and his group - who in turn forwarded the information to EFCC. The EFCC followed suit with an investigation that saw the arrest of the Thomas Iseghohi and two others. The EFCC’s arrest in turn led to the eventual suspension of the trio. The suspension of the trio cleared the road for Goodluck Jonathan's implementation his plot. Informed sources within the Abuja power circles indicate that the financial crimes charged against Thomas Iseghohi and three others - are activities that could be deemed within the right accorded to a GMD. This view was also shared by a Chairman of a federal Parastatal in Abuja who cautioned that the details of the case may show other activities that may elevate it to a possible crime. Nonetheless, it is expected, judging by fillers from Abuja, for the agitation for NITEL to continue until it is eventually sold to a group of investors assembled by the vice president-Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. http://ukpakareports.com/UreportsGoodluckNITEL.html |
more advise will be appreciated please |
Quality life indeed!! I wonder where Nigeria would have been if the likes of Zik, Awolowo and A.T. Balewa stayed back to enjoy the ''quality'' life in US and UK. I also imagine what would have been left of Nigeria if Dangote, Adenuga, Ovia, Elumelu, Otedola and other investors left Nigeria for the ''quality'' life in ''Iraq'' and China'' We have three categories of people; people who have set their mind to earn salary the rest of their life, and can be sacked at any time, secondly, people who crave to reach the peak of their career while they work for other people and thirdly, people who wish to be the best in their discipline/career by being inventive and creative. Why the stress on people who wish to go back to Nigeria to start up a business/consultancy for financial returns ? This is absolutely absurd!! The primary purpose of every business venture is to make profit. Exceptional service delivery attracts and keeps clients hence business growth and only on that note can a company spread and subsequently create employment. I say it ''all paid jobs absorb and degrade the mind'' |
KnowAll:Mine was less than dt in July, 2008 when I just graduated. God forbid. When you tell people they dont just get it. I advised some of my friends last year when they planned to resign their job, Haliburton, for masters, they thought I dint want them to come to UK. Now they are biting their fingers deep. My advise remains, do not for any reason resign your job rather take study leave. Some will scream that I should return to Nigeria, just like my friends do, if I am not enjoying the country. I will do that very soon |
Thank you my brother, I love this your thread. It made me laugh because I was in dilemma two months ago on whether to stay on in UK or return to Naija. After a long thought, I decided that I would go back to Naija and start my own thing with my experience in structural/civil design and project mgt. I really do not intend to work for any coy. My initial fear was the difficulty of starting up without much capital and the fear of self-sustainability in the early months of my stay in Nigeria. I promise you, if you spend another ten years in this country, you can NOT boast of saving upto N5million. Its pathetic!! My best friend and former flat mate who left August last year got a massive civil project to design and erect telecom masts at N98million. Plesae, I have bought my flight ticket to Nigeria. I am so dreaming of the day I will step into that country again after so many years. Nigeria, the love of my life. I LOOOVE NIGERIA WITH A PASSION AND I LOVE ALL YOU NIGERIAN |
Thanks for the help Emperor. I saw Altima at a very cheap rate compared to the other two which really attracted me to it but I dont know anything about the maintenance cost. more advise please. |
@poster, i hate you. This is absolutely tempting. |
Hi everyone please assist me with the grading of these three cars with respect to their general costs of maintenance in Nigeria. This will help me in taking a decision on which car to buy. Your contribution will be exceptionally valued. Thanks immensely in advance for you anticipated kind respose. |
@afaukwu, I really appreciate the effort you have made to educate Hisname. @Hisname, reading your comments on this thread reminds me of the composition I gave my eight year old niece during easter holiday. I will advise you read newspapers and foerign journals, and ask question so that you can learn quick. It is really obvious you lack basic knowledge of economics. Since google search engine is free, why not search for the functions of a CBN Gov, also read newspapers daily for information as you completely lack knowledge of current political events in Nigeria.Try and find out the demands of NLC and reasons for their demonstration. @topic, I have always said this to Nigerians, most tribalist, very poor and visionless individuals, fight themselves while our politicians and their children are united in stealing the common wealth of the nation. We don't want to learn!!! |
@batubo I am not Niger-Deltan but the tactics adopted by the president negates my tactical opinion. I detest the criminal activities in the Niger-delta but I expected and advocated for the use of military intelligence in fishing out the unscrupulous elements in the Niger-Delta who claims to fight for the generality. I expected the army to set up an extensive undercover agents whose duties would be to work with the militants hence expose the unscrupulous elements. Its sad we will be killing the future of Nigeria. I know how Americans value their citizens and I do not value Nigerian citizens less. I will advise you to put these picture in a video and make comments regarding the activities of these oil companies and then send them to youtube, CNN and BBC i-report, tv stations and other media bodies. I went to Nigeria for NYSC and was posted to Aboa, Rivers State, reaching there, I wept for the community. You dont need to know what I experienced which led to my attempted withdrawal from the programme, I was later re-posted to Eleme and yet I still could not stand the poor living condition in the community. Its a pity. |
$osisi:The man is jobless and homeless without the girl and you expect him to act otherwise when they are working towards receiving their $1million from Guiness book of records. In case you don't know, the lady exposed it herself, I guess she doesnt give a flip about the guy he is married to. During CNN interview, it was obvious the girl runs the house. The girl don hammer, her maga don pay lol |
Vanguard should save us these vague articles, which they have been feeding us for months, and publicise their names. Thank u |
@mamajama I read with utmost surprise your comment about people making comment regarding the public news which is glaring at us. What happened to freedom of speech or are you saying that nobody should critisize Obasanjo, Ibori, Odili, Ogbinedion, Chimaroke until they are convicted? That reasoning is not at par with modern democratic society. We are free to make any comment while investigation is on and will continue to voice our stand until justice is done. Obasanjo, for one day, never came out in the public to declare his interest in running for 3rd term but the obvious was that he had the intention and the voice of the masses, even when he hid his intention from the public, successfully defeated it. You should let people voice their opinion. ~Tnx |
The documents below show scanned copies of land allocation which Waziri received and was withdrawn and tranfered to her daughter when the deal was disclosed. She received the offer from the immediate past FCT minister in his effort to win her trust, to cover up his N32billion corruption case. Till date, we have not heard anything about the case. Corruption at its peak!! You can not expect less since she has strong link with Ibori and Aondoaka
|
@poster What he has said is not far from the truth. Most blacks are not creative, they are most interested in egocentric activities, either they claim their ethnicity is superior to others or you see them argue on superiority of countries or just hollow topics when their white counterparts are developing themselves and thinking of new technological approaches to tasks. God bless blacks |
what about guys that wear yellow suit, made by Naija carpenters, with red socks and sandals? Guess they should be banned as well!! This is serious, they should be more concerned with passing a bill that will propose death sentence for convicted corrupt public office holders. |
Poverty level in Nigeria 2007/2008 50% ,, ,, ,, 2008/2009 70% What a leap, the present dispensation, EFCC inclusive has failed woefully |
Ok |
Great men that shaped Obasanjo's Govt. Ribadu remains a legend in my list of Nigerian legends, |
