Politics / The New Electricity Tariff Increased By A Whopping 84.58%. by Bluntsisi: 3:13pm On Sep 18, 2020
The Electricity Tariff was increased by a whopping 84.58%.
That's really huge.
That means, the purchasing power of our money towards electricity just got drastically reduced by 47.08%.
And that's really very bad.
It will affect the prices of things negatively, because a lot of the finished products we consume are processed with electricity.
..
And they still expect us to sit down and continue watching them without doing any protest??

Politics / Re: The Best Way INEC Should Show The Edo Election Results Online by Bluntsisi: 3:10pm On Sep 18, 2020
Access03:
I don't understand some people's morbid optimism about winning the Edo election if it is not rigged. Can you swear on Sango that the parties will not indulge in electoral malpractices in areas of their strengths? Fake righteousness.
You expect anybody to swear on behalf of another person??
Even if they will rig, which is 250% sure, why must the INEC officials aid them?
INEC should be up on their own game to stop the rigging, and not aiding them.

Fear of defeat
If something is bad, say it out that it is bad.
Stop painting it.
..
Are you trying to say that the issue of “Result Replacement” should not to be taken as seriously as the PDP had taken it??
..
..
Meanwhile, on a very serious note, if INEC is actually being sincere with themselves, then they should listen to the cries of the average Non-partisan Nigerian Citizens, and upload all The following results on their Online Results-Viewing Portal....
1. All the Form-EC8As from all the Polling-units.
2. All the Form-EC8Bs from all the Wards.
3. All the Form-EC8Cs From all the LGAs.
4. The Final Form-EC8D from the State.
5. The Final Form-EC8E as declared by the REC.
6. All the Form-EC40Gs from all the Wards.
7. All the Form-EC40G(1)s from all the LGAs.
8. The Final Form-EC40G(2) from the State.
..
We do not want to be seeing only the Form-EC8As of all the Polling-units scattered all over the Portal.
We also want to be seeing all other higher-levels collated results from the Wards, LGAs, and State.

..
We the good Nigerian Citizens are not asking for too much.
We want to be part of what is happening without joining any Political Party.

You need to get my consent; that is why service provider sign " Non Disclosure Agreement". Pure infringement of privacy.
I am happy that someone exactly understands what I am trying to say..
I am more concerned about the privacy of information of the voters, and not about the nonsense campaigns and the fụ́cked-up elections..
Politics / Re: INEC In Edo State Is Leaking Voters' Phone Numbers To APC Agents by Bluntsisi: 10:09am On Jul 24, 2020
Mynd44:
The OP believes the source of numbers is from NCC but no. There are data mining companies everywhere that get data people put out. Social media, applications etc.

They have data by states, local government, religion etc. These are offered to politicians for campaign purposes same way telemarketers in America used to do.

Again, it is nothing wrong or special.
If you read my Original post, the lady clearly told me how they got my number..
She told me the exact centre where I registered.
Thus, it was INEC that gave out my information, and not NCC as you are trying to insinuate.
Please read my Original Post Well..
INEC sold out data of innocent voters who registered to vote.. Not NCC..

In advanced society, that is how electioneering campaign is being done. What is the problem with this OP
Why was Facebook sued?
And At&t wireless??

Mynd44:
This is how elections are done everywhere.
Third party sharing of information was not part of what I signed with INEC when I registered for the Voters' Card..
..
This amounts to breach of “Privacy”,, and it is a very serious offence everywhere..
..
**Modified..**
It had never happened to me before.
I just experienced it, and I am voicing it out immediately, that it is a very bad practice..
I feel so exposed and vulnerable right now.
I feel so practically sold out and betrayed.
My personal data in the custody of INEC was captured for the purpose of Voter’s Identification and Accreditation, which I know agreed to; and not to be shared to any third-party.
Only God knows the condition which made INEC to shamelessly release my information to any Political Party for that matter.
No matter the condition, for the fact that I was not aware of it, it is totally wrong..
..
madridguy:
Nothing new about this only if the OP is just experiencing it.
On election day, you will receive series of sms on your phone from PDP telling you that Mr ABC of APC has stepped down for their candidate and he has urge everyone to vote for Mr XYZ of PDP.

The US last presidential election that the democrat claimed the Russia helped Mr Trump, do you its by stealing ballot boxes? No, its by scopes like this.
That PDP did it doesn't make it right.. APC came in to change the wrong things PDP did. Thus, this thing you wrote here makes APC a shameless copycat.
...
BluntNigerian:
Everything happens anyhow in Nigeria.
And Everybody sees Nothing wrong with it, just because nobody cares.
Should we continue like that forever?
...
helinues:
But that's part of election campaign now..

No.. It is not.. Wrong thing had been happening for long, and it now seems to be the right thing.. But it is still the wrong thing.. Nothing made it right. Or you doubting it?
..
helinues:

Wait, can't the politicians get the numbers from network providers based on states?
If they do, then it is still wrong.. The Service Providers now become the ones who breached the Laws of Privacy of the Customers, and they can be heavily sued for that.
...
BERNIMOORE:

If soldiers are sympathetic to boko haram,
And fellow soldier attacking each other for hitting too hard on enemies

if Akpabio that implicates National assembly members in fraudulent contract on live Tv is now writing to deny it

Nothing is impossible in this APC Nigeria
That's where we found ourselves recently.. I hope things change very soon.
...
ThatFairGuy1:
All these doesn't change anything. As of they don't know aspirants before. THEY'VE DECIDED WHO TO VOTE BEFORE THOSE CANDIDATE EVEN WON PRIMARY.
What can ONLY change the narration nowadays in Nigeria is MONEY
I just wonder why they were calling unsuspecting citizens on their phones, and be bombarding them with dirty jingles.

Politics / INEC In Edo State Is Leaking Voters' Phone Numbers To APC Agents by Bluntsisi: 6:05pm On Jul 23, 2020
Some desperate politicians from APC in Edo State had hired lots of people to be calling innocent citizens of Edo State and be persuading them to vote for Ize-Iyamu in the forthcoming Elections..
One of such person is this young lady (names withheld) whose phone number is here below:
09030946402...
They would just call an innocent voter, and be asking the person lots of questions why he is yet undecided on whom to vote for, and they would be seriously trying to give lots of propaganda-related reasons why the person shouldn't vote for Obaseki.. Like, instead of selling the Ize-Iyamu whom they were lobbying for, they were attacking Obaseki.
When asked how she got the numbers of voters in the first place, here below is the response she gave:
“During Election times, INEC usually give out numbers of registered voters to Political Parties....”
..
Honestly, this is a big shame.
I can't believe such a thing could be happening at a time like this when we are praying for things to get better.
...
INEC in general is a shame.
Edo State INEC is a bigger shame.
Edo State APC is the biggest shame.

Politics / Re: I Need Nairaland Analysts To Explain This Discrepancy For Me. by Bluntsisi: 5:06pm On Apr 28, 2020
OVIHINNO:
I think there was a consensus among various political parties in some areas in Anambra state to vote PDP for the presidential election and as such proper scrutiny was not done by the political parties. I assume presidential election accreditation figures and votes were simply allocated in some units whereas actual accreditation was used in the national Assembly elections
Consensus among the parties?
Wonderful.!!
So, the parties now come together and decide what happens during elections, and yet they allowed the whole lot of people to stand under the sun in vain??
Like, you mean this happened ONLY in Anambra State?

...Fact of the matter is, you’re on your own if you want to use those results issued by INEC for any kind of serious academic excercise!...
If the academic exercise happened to be channelled towards determining the level of accuracy of the INEC-released figures, and rating them at the same time, then the academic exercise would end up producing a World-Class Bestselling Book.

Romance / Is It Best To Keep Sex And Sexuality Away From Children? by Bluntsisi: 8:48pm On Apr 19, 2020
Even if you keep the knowledge of sex and sexuality away from your children, they would still learn it all from many other sources which might be even worse.
So, is it right to teach them everything they needed to know straight-away??
