Pretty good team they've got there, and I watched clips of the Russian team playing and from what I've observed, I think Nigeria has a better team, and they should be able to beat them. |

This report is actually true, and backed by similar American, Israeli and EU reports in which show that a large majority of the people involved in these Islamic terrorist groups are heavy users of HARD drugs like cocaine, PCP, LSD and so on. Massive stashes of the stuff are commonly found by the American and EU soldiers in the terrorist compounds and on their possession. |

ekt_bear: There are very two dangerous trends I've noticed among Africans and black people more generally:
1. Reveling in dubious achievements made thousands of years ago. E.g., "the pyramids were built by black people. Yayyyyyyy!" Even pretending temporarily that this actually happened, shouldn't the natural response be, "OK, so who gives a fvck? What have you done for me lately?"
2. Blaming others for certain problems. E.g., it was the white man who colonized us who is to blame for our troubles. Well, didn't he colonize other people too? I'm not saying that he is innocent of course. He certainly is not. But it isn't as if he is God that he determines your destiny somehow.
These attitudes are not conducive to building a better future. No, you should of kept that at Africans, Ace. I can post up a plethora of inventions in which were established by Black-Americans in both the recent and past, in which are essential to the modern world today. I don't mean to sound arrogant, but in this situation we Black-Americans are in a whole difference league from Africans, and pretty much all other blacks. |

PhysicsQED: The Opium wars? The Eight Nation alliance? The boxer rebellion?
That old humiliation of a weak China that was the plaything of westerners and Japan is the entire basis of the deliberate political isolation of the communist machine that exists today. The Nationalists leaned too much towards the same west that humiliated China, so the communists were seen as a better alternative.
None of them said outright "white Americans are just better".
What they said was obvious, but you decided to obfuscate it and twist it into something else.
By the way, if black Americans and Africans weren't directly tied by race, which is a huge deal in America, how much defending would there really be? When there is another group of people that you have to coexist with directly all the time that are trying to degrade your existence and put down your entire race (which they see you as a subsection of) and try to use another section of your race to "prove" their point, it might be in your own interest to defend that section of your race. Those who don't have to coexist directly with this other group may not be under as much of a burden to do so.
How often does an African in Africa mock or insult an outsider (whether African or non-African) directly to their face merely for being different?
The result of those interactions are heated arguments or fights - or the same deliberate self-isolation some Africans in America engage in. In regard to what you've addressed to me, I've got this to say. YA BULLLL Shitzin!! So these Northerners blowing up southern Christians is a fluke, ey? Or what about the monthly clashes between ethnic groups in which end in scores dead? Yeah, those are flukes to. Huumm, or what about the endless Igbo vs Yoruba, or south vs North, Muslim vs Christian, so on and so forth that goes on relentlessly right her on this site, is that a fluke as well? OOOOH, wait; my bad.. since you'all are slaughtering and belittling each other for your differences, while kissing foreign azz there in NAIJA/AFRICA and abroad, it makes it ok. Right? Since, you know.. a fellow Nigerian/African isn't worth your respect. Is that how it's going down round there Ace? Come correct now, or don't come at all next time. |

ezeagu: I actually believe the tension is more about them descending from slaves who have lost all their culture and have nowhere on this planet they can point to as home. There's a resentment when they see Africans doing okay for themselves when they haven't been through what their community has been through, and then there's what you said. Hummmm, very interesting. I never knew that that was the reason some of us have picked on you'all as youths, and here I was thinking it was simply due to typical behavior to pick on that in which seem out of the norm around you. Like the cool kids picking on the geeky kids, the kid with the lisps getting picked on and so on and so forth. So how did you crack this mystery? |

Mrs.Chima: Ms. Darkskin sis....
Do me a favor....ask your boyfriend...what were the requirements of obtaining a student visa or do he know any Africans that obtained their American student visa from their home country and ask if they just came over with a dollar and nothing else?
Thanks. I got mofos thinking I am making up shit. You have to qualify for and obtain the student visa while still back home in your native nation. In many cases, you'd need an American based sponsor, most get the school they're attending to do that, but even that's not enough, you have to in some convince a caseworker that you're a trustworthy person who intends on returning back home, and as an unmarried, wide eyed youthful student, that is a very difficult thing to convince someone of, with the acception of if YOUR FAMILY IS WELL OFF, YOUR FAMILY IS IN POLITICS, YOUR FAMILY IS IN SOME WAY WELL GROUNDED IN YOUR NATION ENOUGH SO THAT IT"LL BE TO YOUR BENIFIT TO RETURN HOME, AKA they aint gonna give no broke azz Africans a student visa. And they back this policy, with astanomicle fees to process their papers, in which run in the thousands of $, so high that your average African could not afford it, only the ones with well off families. Is that the answer you were looking for Sis? |

Royal-VII: Lol those nairaland Ladies wanted no parts of Debating Royal
Only Sholly had the courage to show up, The rest viewed like cowards on the guest list.
This isn't Usa Vs Nigeria/Africa
This is Proficiency VS Inability
If you Write "Americans Are Poorly Educated", or "Americans Speak Bad English", "Americans are Lazy always Blaming White Men"
Come Debate, and Let's see
Because Last time i checked, those same stereotypes were Applied and inappropriately attached to Africans x10,000
I think some of our "African" brother's and Sisters are Unaware of their Own stereotypes placed on them by the world
Ill Be Happy To Educate if need be
One of the Great Ironies Of World History is that, Black Americans of the New World are Children of the Black Africans who Sold Us away to be Slaves
Yet
Ironically 400 years later the descendants of those Black African's, their African "Children" are now "jealous" because we do not have to "Work" as Hard as Our Brothers and Sisters back "home"(lol) do, because of the endless opportunities and luxuries afforded to us by freedom and wealth
They are Jealous of Americans because Life is much easier over here and Hard Work is not needed to achieve outstanding Lifestyle, Most of Our Sisters and Brothers back "home"(lol) are "slaving" just to survive and maintain survival.
So their "children" call us Lazy, ....LoL I find that Funny, Blame Karma, Blame Ya "Parents".
Truth!! |

PhysicsQED: If there was a 1600 AD Tiv document that made claims about where they were in 1200 BC, would you automatically believe it? Not really, considering that I don't even take most of what the Bible says as the truth of what really went down in the issues it addresses, because for thousands of years prior to it being created most of that was hearsay as well, and a simple childhood game of Telephone can easily display the credibility of, or lack there of of such word of mouth information over even a short period of time. Though, going back to your original question, I certainly would be more likely to believe an 1600 AD Tiv document, in which would of been ultimately based on 1600 AD hearsay detailing their lineage.. over hearsay passed around today, for the simple fact of that the closer the hearsay is to the actual time of the incident in which the hearsay speaks of, the more likely it is to be accurate hearsay. Time is the ultimate killer of History. |
Culture › Re: Which Tribe In Nigeria Is "Actually" From Nigeria??? by Blyss: 2:16pm On Jul 04, 2012 |
PhysicsQED: Ah, so you believe a Tiv/Nok connection is credible based on your own assertions, but you don't believe what the Tiv say about themselves because it's also an assertion.
Good job mutilating logic there buddy.
My belief is that the Tiv came from Cameroon in more recent times, but I don't ascribe some instant credibility to that belief for no reason. For all I know, they could have been somewhere even further east than Cameroon thousands of years ago. Could be, but because they've never documented their history, what they say is essentially hearsay and thus I say it's all up for debate. |

But I'm kind of a contriversial person, so I loved it. |

I've been dealing with these folks since my legendary HERO days when I used write whole essays on this biatch, and once classic thing that irked me the most back then was just how unable most of these people on here are to admit when they're wrong, despite mountains of evidence being put before them. Arrogance and ignorance is a horrific mental mixture. I gave up on all that heavy debating stuff I use to do with the old head AA on here back in the day; hollering at my girls Sista and Drusilla and my boy Mandingo with his crazy azz. The Hausas and Fulanis have a patnership of convenience BUT also a cultural, religious and relational kinship that goes back centuries. This Fulani subjugation you're talking about is nonsense.
Fulanis may have the upper hand in SOME important areas, but on the whole Fulanis and Hausas are united and have similar objectives in the North. Batman and Robin are partners, The US and UK are partners but everyone knows that Robin and the UK are simply sidekicks or subjects of their superior partner, and it's obvious that this Hausa Fulbe relationship works pretty much the same way. |

Mrs.Chima: That's sad.
I briefly read some of the comments and I wasn't surprised to read them because I know ignorance wins all day. However I do see some valid points on both side but the ignorance was overbearing.
Londonboy made an interesting comment about President Obama and how the older Blacks were in tears. That's fact. However we know the media is owned by those who have no interest in exposing the real truth.
I do agree that there are some Blacks living off the government but why are other nationalities including refugees are being "excluded"? Is that enough reason for disunity with Blacks?
What are the REAL REASONS is what I want people on both sides to express because it seems to be real fuckery that people aren't WILLING TO KEEP it 100.
What also made it interesting is that Londonboy is Nigerian and he understands the struggle that many colored folks go through in Western world. However, many Africans that come over without engaging in illegal and fraudulent activities are students from upper middle class families that can afford to send their members to school. You will never see a poor African attend American Universities unless they were selected by the Elite.
I don't know if you were on the Romance section when an Black American chatter created a thread dedicating to Nigerian men and how women should obtain a man and stay married. The responses from the men were expected however some of them weren't realistic. I basically said if she had dissed Nigerian men...she would have been called all kind of slave biatches, welfare queens, and a baby momma.
She titled it Akata teaching you how to keep a man and stay married.....(paraphrased)
Your thoughts? Damn, did I miss something? Show me a link to the thread. |
