I've got a question for you, which I already know the answer to, but would like to see how well or poorly your knowledge on the subject is. My question is, why were so many African kingdoms so willing to sell off fellow African into slavery to the Europeans, and due you think Africa's history of total failure.. post slavery is due to being cursed for it's actions during the slave trade? Many are of the opinion that the continent is eternally cursed via wishes of a mass of slaves who places curses and spells on the continent and remaining people as they were being shipped away across the ocean to the Americas. I actually believe this to be true.

BusinessRe: US Investors To Build 6 Refineries In Nigeria by Blyss: 2:28pm On Jul 03, 2012
Piddo: It is not yet Uhuru for Nigerians. At face value, this appears a laudable project but has anyone bothered to think how the investors will make their money back? You and I will pay for it for over many decades to come. Upon completion, the FG will ban importation of petroleum products and Nigerians will have to pay the rate dictated by the "investors" for their product. If only the FG was honest about fighting corruption, fixing the nations 4 refineries would have been best for Nigerians but now we have invited people in with billions of dollars and surely, its no charity!! Nigerians will pay dearly for it in the end.

Source
No you wont, it'll be we Americans whom will be paying fort.. in that the refineries in which they'll be building over there will replace the many in which they've closed here over the last 2 years. There was a big stink made about it over here in the US recently, because all up and down the east coast refineries were being closed and or downsized due to complaints of the owners insinuating that the operational costs where too much, primarily because of labor expenses. Many of the companies stated that it'll be more cost effective for them to refine the oil over seas and imported the finished products to the US than to refine it here in the US. This was just a year and half to 2 years ago, and it's obvious that this Nigerian investment is a result of that.
CultureRe: Ask An African-american A Question by Blyss: 1:22am On Jul 02, 2012
Hero: You're an obvious ignoramus, not worth wasting time on--- though today a have a bit of time to burn, so I'll bless you with an answer.

Go to this link ( https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-40332.0.html ) and you'll see more powerful dynamic African-American fortune 500 and more company reps than you'd ever imagine existed. Despite what you may think son, over 76% of the African-American population are middle and upper class citizens of the US. Don't let the media's perception of us fool you, in the same way that it attempts to fool us into thinking negatively of Africa and African 24/7.

Once again you are showing your blatant ignorance. Motivational speaking actually does take an extreme amount of talent and world experience in social behavior, as well as many other fields. If it truly took no talent then any and everyone would be doing it, because of the fact of that it pay extremely well. Though that isn't the case, in that to actually be an effective motivator in many areas of life you actual do need to know what the hell you're doing and achieve results and not everyone has that talent.

Detroit is in the position it's in for the same reasons that 85% white Appalachian region is in the same predicament if not worst, and many African nation are in the poor predicaments in which they are in. Brain Drain, Job flight and in turn extremely poor tax return to fund the area. The Automobile, shipping, meat packaging and grain hauling markets in which gave birth to the city and lead to tons of blacks to flood into the city over the decades from the crop-sharing farms of the south have all gone bust, and in turn both the black and the white middle and upper class fled the city to more prosperous locations around the nation.

Left behind was majorly the black poor, to a lesser extent the white poor, and in turn the city simply crumbled under share lack of tax funds being pumped into it by its dwindiling upper and middle class citizens. With faltering industrial and shipping importance and shrinking population, the State and Federal governments both cut allocated funds to the city as well over the years--- worsening the problem.

The City can easily be regenerated if a steady flow of talented middle and upper class citizens from around the nation began trickling back into the city, bringing with them increasing job opportunities, and with increased number of jobs come increased tax funds in which can be put toward restructuring the city. Detroit didn't become like it is overnight, but rather as an effect of an over 2 1/2 decade long drop in the cities industrial foundation in which it was birth on. These same problems have occurred within cities all throughout the Great Lake region.
Genius. See how well this dude cut and diced that dude up so effortlessly, without even once badmouthing Nigerians or Africans as a whole, he didn't put the blame on whitey or attack the one who was clearly trying to instigate a negative response. Hero was a very knowledgeable man, and classy too. I love reading his stuff.

The bolded is the truth. I already destroyed her on this topic but you should have seen the lies she tried to pull.lol

As far as who are the best dancers- Jamaican or jamo(lol) Females are masters at making extremely sexually suggestive dance moves. And as a man i thank them for that. But overall the most diverse dancers are black americans
All of what I wrote there is the truth.

PoliticsRe: US Embassy In Nigeria Begins $119m Annex Project by Blyss: 8:16pm On Jul 01, 2012
Billyonaire: No one is complaining, we are saying....why cast a bleak future about our country, and tell the entire world and your citizen its not safe to live here but they are expanding their consular presence ? Its gets us thinking and reasoning.
Actions speak better than words. It was never stated that Americans should not go to Nigeria, but rather that they should do so with extreme caution while if they planned on traveling in the North and or South East.
PoliticsRe: US Embassy In Nigeria Begins $119m Annex Project by Blyss: 7:51pm On Jul 01, 2012
This is a big investment into the Nigerian economy by the US gov. It'll give a lot of jobs to Nigerian construction workers. Why you'all complaining for? smileyBy the way, embassy grounds are considered sovereign territory of the nation it represents; and they can put pretty much whatever they want on it. So if the US wants to put a marine base, CDC, Defense Department or even a damn nuclear launch site on that piece of land it can do so.
CultureRe: Igbo-Nigerian Men Are The Most Handsome Men In Africa! by Blyss: 5:41pm On Jun 30, 2012
MsDarkSkin: @jenifa "d proper african" um NO.

https://www.slavevoyages.org/tast/assessment/intro-maps/09.jpg

as you can see there were more Africans from the Bight of Benin (yoruba strong hold) than Biafra.
Obviously you didn't understand the context of her comment. She was refering to those slave in which were brought to the US. The Igbo were by far the single largest group in number to be brought the US, and that is obvious and certain fact.

MsDarkSkin: @darapture,, you fried chicken with extra hot sauce eating oloshi grin

the truth is out there. go find it if you have doubts my dude. otherwise shut ya trap.

i am half black american but it doesn't mean i should sugar coat and side with you on this "aa supremacy" crap.

that WON'T go down!!
Proof? Ha, I laugh in Patios. No it's your azz in which you have out there, and far from the truth. Aint it just like a half breed, such as yourself to continuously bad mouth one side of themselves in their attempt to make themselves seem more accepted in their favored side. cheesy I've been observing you and see clearly that you have classic mixed up Mulatto syndrome, in cultural form as apposed to racial. You're about as Jamaican as the macaroni and cheese, collard greens and corn bread served at the Jamaican Buffet down the way from my house. cheesy You're little more than a confused one of the thousands of AA half breeds lost in limbo, looking for an identity to latch on to.

You want to feel special and different, so you try your hardest to latch on to some Jamo gibberish, and make every attempt at badmouthing who you REALLY are, an AA plain and simple.. and talking up that in which you're clearly not, JAMO.. in a foul attempt to fit in where you clearly don't belong!! cheesy Spewing out a bunch of Jamo catch phrases, listening to Jamo music, while falsifying historical facts of your AA history in a foul attempt to prove your worthyness to Jamo's isn't going to make you anymore Jamo than you clearly already aren't, AKATA girl. STOP the shenanigans, because it aint cute or clever; now that's the truth being put out their for that azz, and not those lies you were yapping about. Now take that and go blow it out your Spiffy. kiss
