You are not far from the truth at all....its fundamentals first, lampard and other young english coaches ( except carrick) have to learn basics first before qualifying to handle bigger stage and you get the fundamental right with clubs in division 1,2,3 as well as championship not coming to the big stage to prove what you cannot do with smaller things given the pressure.
