VisaOfficer: Greetings! As long as her husband can convince the officer that he intends to return in a timely fashion, it shouldn't be a problem. The officer may ask why they didn't apply together....Aiit. Thx a lot. |
tzetzefly: Really to be frank with you, it is a 50-50 situation for him.aiit. thx. i appreciate |
tzetzefly: At the time she was interviewed, if she is still employed and was able to prove this among other ties, it is a good start. She has family there and she indicated that she'd b staying with her aunt both in her DS-160 and during her interview. So nw dat dis is a minus, any advice pls? |
tzetzefly: Did you get the visa for the sole reason of giving birth, or you got a visa for some other reason and you feel you can use same for medical reason? Thanks for ur response. Yes she applied 4 d sole purpose of giving birth in d US. So it won't count against him dat they dint apply 2geda as at when his wife applied? Isn't it possible dat part of y she was given a visa was cos her husband was her social tie 2 nigeria? |
Dear VO, How r u doing? Please i want to seek ur opinion on behalf of a friend; She got her visa last month to go give birth in the United States and will be travelling this month, but she didn't apply with her husband. Thanks in anticipation. |

Did you declare that you intended to give birth in the US? Or you said u were going on vacation? Were u showing when you went for the interview? |

Vicjustice: Cover letter of what regard? The cover letter should state one's itinerary, budget for travel, any other information that would aid an applicant's visa application. I stand corrected though, so pls correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks. |
Hello people, Please can anyone help with a sample cover letter? Thanks in advance ![]() |
funkybaby: You earn a decent salary. 305k after tax.Aiit. Thx a lot |
Vicjustice: That would be unacceptable, it is a clear example of money lodgementOk. Thx a lot |
Vicjustice: Money Lodgement is defined when such deposits make a significant part of the fund in your account,Ok. Wat if som1 was into like a thrift contribution such that there were no funds in d account until a particular month? |
Dear Nairalanders, Please i need your advice. I want to apply for UK tourist visa next month with my husband and i'm not sure of our chances. I recently had three different payments in my personal account this month. 200k on oct 2nd, 100k on oct 17th and anoda 100k on oct 18th. All different people. In my salary account, i also had 300k paid on oct 11. I want to know if this can be regarded as bulk sum, as i did not have much savings in both accounts, although there has been outflow. i earn 305,000 monthly after tax has been deducted. Please i need your advice on how to go about the visa application, as we are gonna tender both our statements. Your responses would be very much appreciated. Thank you. |

Hi y'all @fabulousmom: hw abt LA? Can I get a Nigerian passport from dere? Secondly, just in case I dnt get 2 do d Nigerian passport 4rm US, I can do it in Nigeria ryt? |
tzetzefly: I must tell you your application documents will secure visa for you in any major embassy. The only issue that worked against you, was your lack of travel history and visa stamps(stickers)in your passport. Forget the Dubai entry / exit stamps on your passport, it never works like that for the Schengen visa procedure.Hmmmm....Dear tzetzefly, What if i have a UK visa which i intend to use in December with my husband, and i would like to use that opportunity to visit france. We visited dubai for honeymoon in january and our first yr anniversary is coming up. So we intend leaving late december to 1st wk of jan. Christmas in UK and anniversary in france. Are u saying the likelihood of being denied a schengen visa is high? kindly advise. |
@fabulousmom and peacenigeria; ure both darlings. I'd definitely use the services of doctoresparati.com. Lastly, would u recommend "intown suites"? The reviews I'm getting online are not encouraging at all. Wat was ur experience? Hw was feeding for you? Cos I read dat dey dnt provide pots, pans or plates and it doesn't make much sense 2 buy pots and pans. Was dis d case for you? @fabulousmom, I hav finished digesting. Pls tell me d concluding part of d gist. ![]() |
peacenigeria: All went well with circumcision, the cost was and additional $170, the doctores and team at doctoresparati.com Really treat you well and it is very noticable as everyone mentions that the service is tailored for international patients. I dont know if its been mentioned or not but the doctors are not resident doctors so you really are getting the best private doctors for the service, and as one recently posted the hospital is ranked among the best in the country. So for that low a price, considering all the variables, it also made sense to me. With regard to the help, yes i did get it and they helped me get in contact with them although it was not through them, it was even cheaper than the website stated... Once again, GREAT service, GREAT people... RecommendedHello peace, I'm considering doctoresparati.com based on the good reviews and recommendations. Kindly help confirm the following: 1) Is it del sol medical center they really use? 2) Do they give freebies like diapers, wipes etc like some other US hospitals? |
Yes he had strong ties; 4 kids, his personal house. I really dint know much about the whole process prior to him getting the visa. I jus knew when he was travelling. i was 16 years old then. they didn't tell me much. i would gladly show evidence of being able to pay my bills (that is if the CO wants to see it) because i don't intend owing and neither would i want to jeopardize my children's chances or any member of my family's chances at that of going to the US. If people knew the implications (like i know now), they probably wouldn't do it. And i answered yes to the question about having a relative in the US in a bid to be honest and truthful. Anyway, would applying with my husband increase my chances or decrease it because i would love to have him witness the birth but considering my circumstances, would it be a good idea or not? i don't want to blow his chances too. I also intend to give birth in a different state from where my relative stays (which was where i said i would be staying the last tym my visa was denied). Is it a good idea or would the consular officer think me insincere because of my destination change this time around or is d state i go to totally irrelevant to the consular officer? |
Dear V.O, I know this post was intended for immigrant visas but i need your sincere input on this. Accept my apologies please. I applied for a Visa last yr and was denied because a member of my family left Nigeria ages ago on a tourist visa and never returned. Please i want to know what my chances of getting a visa to give birth in the US are? Should i still try or should i not bother? Because when i asked the last VO who interviewed me to tell me specifically y i was refused, she confirmed my suspicions but then i asked her again that if that is the case, it means i may never get to go to the US and she replied saying it would be very difficult for me or any other member of my family. Please what is take on this? Any comments or suggestions would be very much appreciated. P.S; My status has changed since the last time i applied. i'm married now, i have a good job and landed properties and i've visited 3 countries since then. Thanks in anticipation. ![]() |
