I'm married to my wife & it's been 4yrs & we've got a son who's just 3months old. My wife is a RN( She's got BSC in Nursing & immediately after marriage, she proceeded to Nursing school in Jos & acquired another certificate). The fact is she hasn't worked since we got married, it's been schooling & pregnancy in d last couple of years. I've been talking to her about us making plans to leave the country so she can practice in the UK but she hasn't really keyed into my idea because she kept saying she wants to go with her family (Myself & Our son) & wouldn't want to go alone. Now I got no idea if it's possible we can migrate to the UK together as a family or does she have to go first? That's my first question, what type of visa would it be? MUST she write the IELTS? What kind of job experience can I garner to be able to help out when I travel? Although I have started learning graphic designing. Please j would also like anyone to recommend a reputable IELTS Tutor centre in FCT, Abuja because she wants to start learning so she can prepare for the exams.

I'll also appreciate if we can be schooled on the process & how possible it is to bring along our little son.

Hi family I need your kind suggestions. I decided to try agent sponsored route to usa.i applied to 3 agencies (shearwater,interstaff and avant) just to spread my tentacles and choose anyway that works. Am yet to be scheduled for clinical interview in avant, I have been scheduled for interview by shearwater in few weeks time. Am through with interstaff and I have been sent a contract to sign . Please nurses who used this route what can you advice am basically confused. I have a timeline of 28days to sign the said contract. I need your input guys.

Thank you very much for the comprehensive response. Do you have information about any of the agencies one can apply to after passing her exam? She still keeps her job in Nigeria. If going back to Nigeria would be the best option then she would do it.

Nobody ever said he should not answer questions here, we only said he should not give wrong informations here, alot of silence followers are following this trend which we must make sure we pass authentic answers.

There is another trend for nurses working already abroad ,there is a link for that in this particular forum I think.
And there is also a forum for nurses already working abroad which is strictly for nurses already working abroad.
If you have any question ,feel free to ask here ,vickhye, Barbie and co will answer them..

Normally, I come here to read and get updates but now I've finally made up my mind to register, so I can make some comments. @hunnybee There's nothing more gracious than when someone makes a mistake, and later apologises for the mistakes done. Bluebeard made a mistake and he said he's sorry, what else more were you expecting him to do? Kill himself? For crying out loud, its just unfortunate he answered wrongly this time around, and you all are raining sulphur and brimstone on him. How fast it is to point fingers when someone goes wrong and suddenly goes mute when d correct thing is said? Asides this issue he had with @vickyehi and this misinformation he gave and some other times I can't mention now, there are countless times he has given correct answers. you said he mustn't answer questions, that also is wrong on your part. I'm saying this because u said to him that he must not answer every question, which suggests to me that you are capable of doing such too) yet, he answered. Bluebeard has his own shortcomings too, but for everytime he was wrong, he comes back here to clarify the information, which also suggests to me that he's open minded to learn. @bsn4eva And you calling him "empty"? And saying he acts like he knows everything? That was wrong too and I feel u should tender an apology for that . Funny as it may sound, if everyone contributes by answering questions , like in Canadian FSW or PNP threads, we'd have really gone far with this thread. U can imagine from 2016-till date, we're still on page 134, doesn't that suggest something to you? 6- If you pass the NCLEX-RN, we will send a request for your United States
Registered Nurse license to be issued. After your license is issued,
we will then
submit a copy of it together with an updated version of your resume
to our partner company, International MedLink to secure you a job interview
and contract. After you sign the job contract, your immigration
process will start.
The immigration process can take between 8-12 months before you can
leave your home country
to the United States. So please be patient during this time, and
continue to work as a nurse.

I have a BSN , graduated last year in turkey but no licence or work experience yet . I've been trying to apply for master's or graduate degree in nursing in the US so as to write NCLEX but some of the programs require license or some work experience . I haven't found one that is a good fit for me. Please can I get suggestion on what particular program I can apply for in order to write my NCLEX in the US. Or should just go with a different health science course then write the NCLEX whilst studying.
