Are you in the southern or western part of Africa? I've read the 66E map and it seems the footprint covers the whole Africa but the beam covers only southern Africa.

Yes it is possible to use C-Band Lnb with a 90cm dish. However, Irib is not receivable with a 90cm dish. Even those with 1.8m dish sometimes complain about Irib signal

Yes Viasat 1, tv3, Utv, Gtv etc are FTA but they are on C-Band Satellite. 1.8m dish can hunt all those birds.

It is tv channel that only shows during certain times. Eg during news time, live match and others. Until then, the channel will be green but NO AUDIO & VIDEO.

abymoore: if ur primary lnb is arabsat then for ur sirus4 lnb shift it downward 4rm my own about 1 or 2 inches away u will get it.... From the cband lnbs the two above are multi tv and dstv and the alone lnb downwards is sirus 4

@ Abymoore and others who have done it. I have 1.8m dish with Arabsat20E as my primary C-band lnb. Please I need your directions on how to add w3a@7E & sirius 4.8E to this installation. I have looked @ Abymoore's picture but that one has Amos5 as primary and more to the point, I can't indicate which of the attached Lnbs is for 4.8 & 7E. Futher explanation will help me. It is very urgent so Gurus, help!

Pls is this 2.4m dish a ground mount? What is the brand(model) of this 2.4m dish? I want to check if I can this 2.4m dish on the Ghana markets. Because the last time I checked, 1.8m dish was the maximum Pan dish one can get in Ghana.

Twinsoris: To all my fellow members in the house concerning the MBC 3 there is a signal flotuation on that TP 11192 H 3210 despite my signal is 67% while 12727 H 30000 is 80% on 90 cm canalsat dish and still MBC3 is still the signal went ON and OFF and to get JSC SPORT 1-10 you need at least 2.4M and above on BADR 6 but on yahsat i am not yet work on that Bird and on hotbird hou can only get JSC SPORT 1-5 only.

Pls is this JSC Sports 1-10 a pay one or free-to-air? Pls respond

Very good observation. I'm also encountering the same problem with my 4669XII. Of late, Irib has been RED on my 69rx. Inspite of all my efforts to salvage the situation have proven futile. @Fellow members, sometimes let's exercise some restraint. This Irib problem may not occur in your area. So let's not hasten to attack ones installation as the cause of this problem. My own brings to about 4 people who have problems with Irib on 69rx. Let's see how we can solve this problem rather than telling GH-ONE not to post his problems. Regards

@ All those having problem with 69XII regarding Irib channels reception, let's not rush. It seems there is a technical problem with Irib signal transmission @ some areas in West Africa. I'm saying this because, I used 69XII to track Irib(3964V30000) within 5minutes way back in January. I've taught friends how to track Irib with 1m & 1.2m dish way back in February and they all succeeded in getting high %quality by using 69XII. So now that Irib is refusing to turn green on this same 69XII, for me is a problem beyond installer control. I'll also urge our friends here to stop behaving as if we don't know the use of dielectic plate. Some people respond to our questions as if we are new to C-Band installation. For those who have stable Irib signal, I say good luck while those of us having problem with Irib, let's be patient. It is baffling that all Arabsat 20E channels show on 69XII except Irib tv3 & Varzesh which remains RED. Even if I connect 4922A to that same dish, all channels including Irib tv3 & Varzesh pop up green. The problem is not about increasing the signal of 4056H27500 to %97 or not inserting the dielectric plate well. Actually, Tp for Jsc sports according to flysat & lyngsat is 4054H27500 so let's take note of that. Once you have 92% for JSC sports on 69XII, the 3964V30000 should automatically turn green. So 3964v30000 is still red like mine, I mantain the problem is not from your dish or not using whatever frequency. I have downgraded my 69XII from 312 to 302 still no solution. Lest I forget the 3.12p upgrade brings the option sub-menu. But I just downgraded to 3.02p as a trial and error way of finding solution to this Irib problem on 69XII. Let us also not forget that the dielectric becomes useful when the channel you want to track, has a polarization of R/L. It appears this Irib problem is making people profer solutions which exist in their own imagination.

Irib is almost equivalent to pay tv. They do show always.

To get Irib in Nigeria&Malawi, I suppose the minimum dish should be 1.3meters. But to get 24/7 stable signal, in any sub-sahara African country, use 1.8m dish. NOTE: the frequency 3964v30000 is a C-Band and circular poralization . So you need a C-Band LNB and di-electric plate before you can hit green.

From what I'm reading, it appears MBC,OROMIA,GTV will not show Champions league on wednesdays again. what this means is that,FTA lovers will be denied ENGLISH commentary on Wednesday's edition.

or go to DStv office and get DStv decoder in fact it is very good no scramble 24/7
Dstv have nice HD decoder it opens everything on W4/W7

but for redline no internet only multitv amos and FTA HD,mpeg4,SD will work
as my brother says $ in front of channel is not there to make it look good
