If u r luking 4 free-to-air, then look elsewhere. Jsc +1-10 are aljazeera PREMIUM channels from Qatar. They are specifically meant for MENA Regions. However, W/Africans can still enjoy their sports channels by paying their monthly subscription or buying their subscription card! NOTE: Aljazeera sports,1& 2 are free to air on many satellites but they don't show live matches. The aljazeera channels which show live matches are abbreviated as Jsc sports+1 to 10 and they are strictly subscription based! The Jsc+1-10 operate just like Dstv Premium bouquet SS1-SS10!!!! This Jsc Sport is not Free-to-air! All the channels are scrambed! So you have to pay b4 you watch. Even all the MBCs were scrambled. @ Sulieman,are the MBCs now without $?

Hello Gurus, pls I want you to recommend a quality diseqc for me. I've bought three different types of Diseqc, but they all reduce signal quality. Sometimes, the signals go red completely. Pls help me out.

Yesterday,I upgraded my srt4669XII with the latest software from crosat.us yet it can't open infinity channels. I wonder!!!

ayolacz: the secret behind sw update of ur rx is knowing what u want and not about the latest sw update. For srt 4922 series users,sw 124p remains d best. Better than sw 126p and OTA released sw 128p. Only good observant users would take note of d difference in terms of signal strength and menu capabilities.

Apart from the satellites you have listed, I think your last resort will be to go C-BAND.

olenyi: Its been like 3 - 4 days now since u started asking this same question. Permit me to ask; what have u tried. Have u tried out all the options and answers given to u here on the forum and it didn't work?

I taught the thing is to first try what u were told and then come back with any peculiar difficulties u encountered along the way. It's getting somehow asking the same question over and over all over the threads even when solutions/answers has been proffered to u. Don't u think?

How did you go by your OTA menu upgrade?

naijaobi: GUYS I DID OTA UPGRADE ON MY 4922A and now 6969 and other codes doesnt work... Is it normal?

NOTE: Aljazeera sports+ channels are on nilesat 7W and it's receivable on 90cm dish . These channels are not free to air! You have to buy their subscription card. All those channels are subscription based, as Prof Olenyi will put it!!! Unless you buy their card or pay their monthly subscription.

@olenyi, to know how less common the reciever is, the person i contacted to get one from don't even know that there is a such model.

Optima sports on Amos5@ 17E is a C-Band. So you need big dish to be able to track it.

Excellent delivery! Many thanks for adding to what Prof Olenyi had earlier indicated. Pls Setoop is this applicable to all strong decoders? Pls help me because both my srt4669XII and srt 4330 badly need upgrade.

Setoop: For those ask for how their box can be upgraded through OTA ,pls note that if you don't have any dish facing my tv direction (68.5 E) . It will not be possible , so you have to take your to anybody around you that has mytv among his setup . For those that has mytv as part of their setup , just blindscan your decoder , at end of it you will see new software on your screen , then off your box and on it again , your decoder will sure be upgraded . Also it not the upgrading that increase signal quality on daarsat . Daarsat is currently upgrading their satellite to improve their service

How did you go about that default OTA Menu? Explanation is still sketchy. Please expantiate on the process you went through for the default upgrade..sir

Brite02: Definitely think so...coz I have a dish @mytv position, a dish with 2 in 1 @multitv & dstv and one @16 and 17 degrees east combine with a diseqc switch...so its very neccesary you @ that position before you can get the Mytv default OTA upgrade.... If am wrong feel free to correct me....

kyleege: Bay tv,kzn and the ait package are on amos 17'e and the other french channels are on w16 at 16'e of which u can get all these chanels on one dish.

Hello Nairalanders, so where are the rest of our celebrated Gurus? It seems we are overstretching Professor OLENYI CHINEDU by our numerous questions. Gurus, please help Prof Olenyi in finding answers to our incessant questions. Sir Olenyi, please as soon as you get the RIGHT software for my srt4330, don't forget to drop it into boadufta@gmail.com.

olenyi: U'll use the software sub menu. Don't use any other file except .stb files. Make sure ur winrar software is working well. I'll try to check if I can get u the collect one with .stb extension.

Always use gen if u like ur rx.

@ Prof Olenyi: due to the erractic power supply here in Ghana, I want to use a generator to upgrade the software of my srt 4330. I have downloaded the software(winrar). But when I unrar(unzip) it, I don't find the stb file extention like u indicated the other time. When I unzip the 4922 one, I find the stb file. But with the 4330 what I find is a VLC media player Icon with VLC Media file(.bin) written there. I don't know whether I should use that one for the upgrade. Moreso, the 4330 doesn't have Data transfer and firmware feature in the menu. What the srt4330 has in the menu is: software upgrade,data base backup etc. So I want to seek your further directions b4 I start the software upgrade. Thanks
